Heatwave
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma using abusive language to someone whilst out shopping with Snow. Snow makes her apologise which angers Emma and she snaps at her mom getting her into more trouble.
The heatwave had hit Storybrooke hard. The temperature had shot up to uncomfortable levels and most of the town had either retreated indoors with fans and air conditioning circulating the air to keep rooms as cold as possible or out to cold water pools in their gardens. Unfortunately though, supplies still had to be bought and Emma had drawn the short straw to ride along with her mom in the short, sticky, uncomfortable trip to the supermarket to buy more juice and icy treats. Emma just wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible to go back to the air conditioned apartment, but some idiot cut in front of them in the queue.
"Hey! Pea brain!" Emma shouted, her fuse short from the heat. The man turned round, his basket also full of various ice creams and drinks. "Think we're stupid, huh pal? This right here is called a queue. You're cutting it. Now get your giant ass behind us before I kick it there."
"Emma." Snow hissed, mortified at the attention Emma was drawing to them. "Pick your battles. This is the only store that has Magnums left. Now apologise, let the man buy his stuff and keep it zipped." Snow warned. "Or I'll put the double caramel ones back." Emma's eyes narrowed furiously, that was a dirty trick.
"Fine." She snapped, turning to the now smug looking stranger. "I apologise for calling you out on your rudeness." Emma turned back to her mother. "Happy?" She snapped.
"Not when you're being so unpleasant no." Snow responded calmly. "Now keep your trap shut or I mean it about the Magnums. And now Henry gets first choice of Capri Sun, I don't care that you're the one who came with me he hasn't been rude to strangers. If you complain Neal, your father and I will also pick ahead of you." Snow warned her. Emma kept her mouth firmly shut, not wanting all the blackcurrant ones to be taken. Man her mom knew how to play hard ball!
