Basketball
A guest asked for a oneshot of Snowing going to see a teen Emma in a basketball game and realising how good she is. So this has been set as though Emma was raised in our world.
Snow and Charming sat nervously in the bleachers. This was the big day- the cup final. It was Emma's first year on the team and as far as they could tell from what Emma had told them, Coach Roque thought Emma had quite the future as a basketballer. In fact, he had hinted that when Courtney Vause, the current captain, graduated Emma might take over. The couple were happy they were finally getting a chance to watch a game.
"Jess, over here!" Emma called to one of her teammates. The girl passed the ball to Emma, who gracefully swished it through the hoop. The whole team celebrated, that had been Emma's fourth basket this game. The team were well in the lead, and time was fast running out for the other team (the current holders of the cup) to catch up. Snow and Charming themselves stood and whooped loudly when Emma scored.
"That's our kid!" Charming yelled for the whole crowd to hear.
"Our baby girl!" Snow added in. Emma looked up at her parents, grinning, clearly embarrassed. Snow and Charming took the hint and both sat back down again.
"Did you realise she was this talented?" Charming leaned over and asked Snow, who shook her head in return.
"I mean, I knew she was good but this doesn't just look like High School good, this looks like professional good." Charming grinned.
"Not that you have any bias though, right?" Snow smiled back. Maybe there was a touch of bias.
