Ear infections
PBBrownie asked for a oneshot of the Snow Queen freezing Storybrooke, so Snow gets Emma a winter hat to keep her ears warm. Emma thinks it's too childish and refuses to wear it, resulting in a double ear infection.

"Well I did warn you." Snow chastised her daughter as she used the little pipette to drop the eardrops into both of Emma's ears. "Ingrid done a number on the town, it's colder than parts of Russia here right now. I told you not to go out and about without proper insulated clothing but did you listen to me? No, what would I know? I'm just your mother."
"Oh alright, alright!" Emma complained, shooing her mum away, grimacing at the swishing sound in her ear the drops created. Whale said she would have to use them for a fortnight to rid herself of the infection on her eardrums. "Can you blame me? That hat looked like it was designed for a giant six year old. I'm sure criminals would take me seriously with that on my head."
"Well I told you to get your own hat three days before I bought you that one. You ignored me and when I went to the store to get you a hat that was all that was left. You could have put the hood from your coat over the hat and nobody would have been any the wiser about it but no no, you had to just not wear one at all. You're lucky it's just a couple of minor ear infections. You could have lost hearing.
"I'm sorry, what? I can't make you out mom." Emma teased her mother.
"Haha, very funny." Snow said drolly, gently poking the back of Emma's head. "Never the less, I'll take this as lesson learned." At least Snow had hoped it would be. But Emma was bound to repeat herself in summer by refusing to wear suncream and getting terrible sunburn and heatstroke.
