After Abe's physical declaration of love, they all found their way back to where they first came in. They passed the goblin who had nodded to them. Abe and Maizie held onto each other, as she was still weak from her vision. They found the entrance and stepped out into the bright light. Hellboy led the way with Liz behind him.

"You," Manning spoke. "You took that plane without an authorization, young man."

They had expected him to show up with agents. Hellboy went up to Manning and started unbuckling his gun holster.

"Hey Manning," Hellboy said. "Here to help as always." He pulled it off and gave it to Manning who took it.

"What's going on?"

Hellboy stared straight into Manning's eyes, his nose almost touching his. "I quit."

"What? Are you serious?"

Liz approached him, "Looks that way, doesn't it?" She gave him her holster.

Abe and Maizie followed Liz. Abe pulled his holster off as well. Maizie didn't have one.

"What's wrong with you? You can't all just quit."

Abe and Maizie stopped in front of him. Abe touched Manning's face, "Watch us."

"You fucked us over Manning, I quit," Maizie said.

Abe put his arms back around Maizie and they walked off together. Krauss stepped up to Manning. But before Krauss could say anything, Hellboy passed Abe and Maizie and came back up to Manning.

"On second thought," He said as he grabbed the Samaritan still in its holster and pulled it. "I think I'll keep this."

"Come on…Come on!" Manning exclaimed. He couldn't believe any of this was happening. "Johann, they can't do this. Stop them."

Krauss tapped Manning on the shoulder, "Dr. Manning, suck my ectoplasmic schwanzstucker."

Manning stuttered as Krauss left him. Hellboy and Liz had their arms around each other as they walked away.

"So, what you said before, about us living anywhere," Liz spoke.

"Anywhere," Hellboy said. "You and me. Let's find a place in the country. Clean air, green hills. A yard with lots of room to grow in. It'll be great for the baby."

"Babies," Liz corrected him. Hellboy stopped then turned to her. She brought up a hand and stuck up two fingers. She wiggled them as she smiled.

At first, Hellboy was speechless then he smiled. He pumped his fists into the air, "I knew it!" Then he grabbed Liz and swung her around, Liz giggling.

"Oh, you knew?"

He set her down and stared into her eyes, "I've known since last year. I saw them with Maizie."

"Oh, that's right," Liz said. "I forgot about that."

He grinned then kissed her.

Further beyond them, Maizie and Abe walked together. Maizie had enough strength that she didn't need Abe to hold her up. She had her arms wrapped around herself. Abe walked beside her.

"How long did you know?" Maizie asked Abe.

"Hmm?" Abe asked as he turned to look at her.

She stopped, "About her. About…about our daughter?"

"I've known for a while. Hellboy had told me of your vision from last year. He had said that it was a child of mine. But I didn't know it was you until recently," Abe replied as he stepped up to her. "I had been suspicious when you broke it off with me and wouldn't let me touch you."

"I'm sorry," Maizie whispered.

He tipped her chin up, "It's okay. I understood why. It is hard to have secrets when I can glean them from you just with a touch."

Tears filled up her eyes, "You don't know how hard it was to keep it. The last year was so rough. I still get nightmares."

"Then give them to me. I can take them," Abe said as he grabbed her hands.

"You don't want them," she whispered as she shook her head. "It's terrible."

"Let me be the judge of that. I'm sorry you felt so alone and felt like you couldn't trust me enough," Abe said. "Let's start new. Fresh. We're no longer agents of the BPRD. We're just…ourselves."

He pulled her into a hug as she nodded. He pulled from her after a moment and took her hand. He led her down to where Hellboy and Liz stood waiting. Krauss joined them a moment later.

"Ahh," Krauss said as he sat on a rock. "That felt good."

Hellboy smirked, "What are you going to do now?"

Krauss shrugged his shoulders, "I have no idea." He laughed. "I'm going to take this freedom and do whatever I want!" He flipped a switch and his suit deflated. The white gas substance formed into the shape of a man. He floated away from them with a cry of farewell.

"Well…I guess now we should go find a place to live," Hellboy said as he pulled Liz closer to him.

"Actually…I might have a place," Maizie spoke up.

Two weeks later

"I can't believe your father left you this place," Liz said as they toured through a large 3-bedroom house. Maizie strolled alongside Liz. Abe explored the backyard while Hellboy went up the stairs.

"Yeah, my father died before Broom recruited me. Broom didn't know he passed. I was surprised myself. After Rasputin, I didn't want to come back here," Maizie sighed. "The memories are a lot here."

"You didn't have a good life here?" Liz asked.

Maizie shook her head, "Not really no. In all honesty, Broom training me to control my powers was the best time of my childhood. I always wondered what life would have been like if Broom had kept me with him."

Liz turned to her with a snicker, "I'm not sure you'd want that. A teenage Hellboy was hard, and I had to live through that."

Maizie laughed. Hellboy came clambering down the stairs.

"The master bedroom is amazing! Liz you gotta see this! It's fucking huge," Hellboy exclaimed in excitement. He stomped back up the stairs.

Liz rolled her eyes, "Where will you and Abe stay?"

"I own the land with the house. All the way up to the tree line. There's a little pond nearby. We're gonna build a house there. Daddy-dearest left me money too."

Liz whistled, "You're rich now."

Maizie laughed as Liz turned around and went up the stairs to find Hellboy. She went to the backyard and found Abe standing in the clearing. She went up to him and stood by him. Abe swung his arm over her shoulder and kissed her forehead.

"What do you think?" Maizie asked as she wrapped her arms around his thin waist.

"I think it's perfect," Abe said. He tipped his head down and they kissed.
