Chapter 43:Memeorie is a terrible thing
Elsewhere in the kingdom right now after making it successful into town right now was a certain spider faunus. As nezumi was forced out of her miltary garbs into something more exceptional for a date.
That being a black skirt that reached to her knees along with wearing a cyan colored blouse right now with a black brooch with a white outline of a spiders web on it. With a set of black short heeled shoes.
But she kept messing with her cuffs because this thing was praticualry suffocating her right now. She hated how celeste and bonnet just had to pick out something this stuffy for her to wear right now. Along with that she feels so embarrassed asking out a kid who half her age
"God why did i even agree with to this right now because i hate wearing things like this"nezumi said beofre something popped into her mind
"If those two and anyone else is out their i'll turn them into a coon"she muttered to herself
Trying to remember where he wanted to meet right now she whipped her scroll out deciding to text him
N:Hey fish boy where are we meeting?"

As she began to search around the place for the address as she walked for maybe twenty minutes. "Oh you have to be kidding me"she muttered to herself. As she stepped inside beginning to look around for him she could see burly bikers from the look of their attire. With a few staring her down as she covered herself up
But eventually she heard a familiar voice call out to her
"Hey uh nez over here!"vance called out as she faced his direction
As she saw him wearing a dark grey turtleneck that was thin with some blue jeans on. With his wrist rolled up to his elbows.
"Huh is this seat taken or something? Because your too young to be here"she joked
Vance chuckled"hey i'm old enough and its not even a bar. Well that is"he joked
"Also your like twenty minutes late granted i forgot to tell you the address early"vance replied quickly
She chuckled as she sat down with him as she carefully looked over his outfit
"Nice duds your friends help pick that out for you?"nezumi asked
"Blame fen the guy said he owed me for consoling lavi and explaining what happened to her grandparents"vance replied

"And for you ma'am?"she asked
"Hmmm get me a burger with just some cheese on it along with a pickle on the side. Also i'd like some chips to go with a black coffe"nezumi replied as the wiatress went off to get their food ready

"Come on i can't help i get craving. Miss i ordered a coffee…at this time of day"vance countered

After some time they soon got done with their meal as they began to leave the restaurant. As she wrapped an arm around his as he kept blushing mad right now. Until suddenly someone called out to him

Back inside the misncape nadia and company kept running for so long it felt like their lungs might explode. Although after some time they stopped right now as rogue panted heavily holding her axe out.
"Are…are they gone yet because i feel like my lungs will explode"rogue asked panting right now
Lilith looked back seeing nothing their before sighing catching her breath
"Nothing…were fine god those looked like grimm. Though it seems where separated from the ohers"lilith replied
Although soon enough nadia took in their surrounding as something just startled her. That being several statues and mirror showing something horrible. That being her adotpive son in that lab showing a guard hitting him in the head with a baton. Another showed that selket women tossing him around the room like some sort of doll
Rogue noticed them all too stunned right now seeing what went on in these labs. But just felt hrut seeing all of this done to her friend right now as began shake.
"I..i…w-where are we? Because…i woudln't this be the lab he was in?"rogue asked scared herself right now. Lilith glanced at one as it showed her own sister son getting a beating right now as she gasped in horror
"We…i…i would like to leave this place. This ins't right at all right now"lilith said as the two agreed trying to find a way out right now. But nadia couldn't help but see what horrors where done to her son over the years. She saw him getting shocked repeatedly by sangie and another with conri fighting him. As he knocked him down hard as he coughed as he ordered him to continue. She foguth the tears but growled in complete rage.
"Thats it…that it! If i find watts i'm going to string his neck up and torutre him before i blow his dam brians out!"nadia declared in rage as she seethed as rogue scoffed
"I'll help find him…though i'm not gonna kill anyone only in self defense okay"rogue said as they kept going. They had a very quiet ewalk for the group as they kept going. Until suddenly emerging from some corner where some strange blob like creatures as they got on the offensive

Then his back started to move around until from his back shot out two long wings that where blue in color with black lining it. As they flapped around resmebling wyvern wings.
"Whoa…uh guys hes growing wings…what do we do?"perun asked shocked

Along with that saying how she hopes her son can be proud of their family semblance. This made alot of them right now freeze hearing that as lilith looked down right now hearing her say those words. But she also heard how she still cared for them and planned to visit them.

"Well maybe because you aren't listening because your doing the same thing you did to her"vance gorlwed back as anger was boiling high. But some had concerned looks

which confused them right now why he was adamant on them leaving

But before he could even question soon the orb displayed what happened next in that memory. Though it startled alot of them seeing the same women who had a smile always on her face crying her eyes out with a SDC collar on. Mars flinched right now at that with tears forming.
"I..i…guys….guys what is this? Because i'm getting scared now"lazuli asked scared looking at her brother as he looked away from her right now. Vergil looked horrified right now seeing his cousin like was stunned to see his cousin in that shape right now. Even megan looked shocked right now looking toward her husband wondering what happened to her.
Velvet rushed over pulling at lilith arm"please! Please just leave! You don't want to see this"she begged crying a little. Lilith just looked stunned as she started to shake seeing her baby sister with bruises on her face and crying for her husband

"Ummm mom is this the slavery camp you found us at"zoey asked as her mother glanced at her with a concerned look. Because she was starting to piece together what this might be. But soon enough it showed her seeing the bandits attacking someone with hope in her eyes
Though the hope was diminished immediately with the bandit leader coming forward as cardin flinched with him sharing a look with jaune as he went wide eyed

Lilith eyes where just glued onto it as soon it showed her sister getting pistol whipped to the ground. She had tears starting to break from her eyes before then a very loud gunshot went off which made alot of them jump. It was silence for a moment as the orb then showed hel dead bodie their on it.
Mars choked grasping his throat with tears streaming down his face that he just saw his own sister get shot in the head. Dante even flinched covering his mouth in complete shock as the tears ran down rapidly. Vergil just comforted his brother hugging him as he just felt hurt seeing that
Sizz had tears running down her face seeking comfort as walking over was zoey who offered it stunned right now hoping her brother was alright.
But for liltih she let out an ear bleeding scream as she lost feeling in her legs holding her head beginning to break down crying as she shook her head. She should have watched over her more as kids she should have visited her instead of forcing her to visit them since they never leave vacuo rarely.
"No..no…no…no little sister..no…i'm sorry…i'm sorry…no…i'm such an idiot….no"lilith said crying her eyes out right now as jaune looked stunned that his friend saw his own mom get shot in the head. Onxyia gasped with a few tears sliding down as ruby clung to asani for comfort as the girl was scared now. Cardin sighed covering his face
"Vance…your being a real asshole right now man. I mean seriosuly…what is wrong with you?"cardin asked as he looked away
"Sorry…maybe because their about to do the same thing to my own cousin. Because…he'll…he'll just hate you…i…i…."he paused dropping it realziing what he just did sitting down hugging himself as nezumi sighed covering her face. But noticed something its not stopping

"Wait…what…ummm did we not get the full story on what happened that night?"cardin asked as it showed the slaver leader running around all over the place with his bandits following him. Until suddenly two gunshot went off by his feet as someone called out to him

Hold it right their because if you move another muscle next bullets going in your skull!"a female voice called out making them turned to the source that being a younger nadia walker wearing a similar outfit like today but she had both of her arms. This stunned himseeing that as the slaver leader stared her down with grimm all around them
"You dam huntsman and huntress are ruining a good job here"the slaver leader spat
"This is a job to you kidnapping people from their homes along with their families"memory nadia retorted glaring at him as she panted a little. She seemed exhausted as her aura flicked slightlyBut a slaver holding the tot was still crying his lungs out for his mother that was just taken from him.
"Really because from how i'm seeing thing we were making major lien off these now my business is ruin and your going to let me and my remaining men go" he stated
"Why the hell would I do that?"nadia asked presenting her gauntlets in hand.
Then the next thing he did was grab the kid from the slaver hand and without hesitation he aimed him pistol toward the kids head. Nadia went wide eyed as she eased up her stance as she put her hands up slowly. This made leader smile a little.
"Look…don't hurt him let the kid go and you can leave"memory nadia said
"Really just let the kid go?"he asked as nadia slowly nodded
Though instead of setting him down the slaver leader had better idea as close by was a beowulf on the prowl. It kept approaching them because the crying kid. Memory Nadia looked over at the grimm and relized what he was doing.
"Alright here you go!"he said as he hucked the kid toward the beowulf with all his strength. This stunned them that happened actually.
Memory Nadia went wide eyed as she sprinted forward with all her might"you bastard!"memorynadia cried as she rushed forward. As she got close time seemed to slow down as she looked at the falling child in the air. Then she dove straight foward toward the child.
As she did she caught him with her left arm as she groaned a little on the ground. She layed on the ground as dust was kicked up but as she landed a jet black aura shattered. Her aura was gone as she panted a little though looked at the still alive kid.
"oh thank remnant…you oaky"nadia said as she slowly got up.
But as she did soon enough the beowulf lunged at the tiger faunus. Nadia quickly dodged out of the way but not in time. Though it caught her arm at that moment bitting into it it. As she tried to fight the pain but cried in agony at that moment before yanking hard on it tearing her arm out of its grasp.
"Arghhh…son of..a bitch that hurt"nadia said panting as she held the kid in her arms.
"At least…my arm is.."nadia begun before the adrenaline was still running.
She went wide eyed seeing in the mouths of the beowulf. Her right arm as she glanced down panting in fear right now. Where her elbow was was just mangled flesh along with a jagged bone edge.
"No..no..fuck"nadia queitly said to herself as soon enough the grimm was burned alive by amber. Her teammate looked at her worried at what happened with a somber look
"Tigs! No no no…i..what happened i…i.."amber stammered as the tiger laughed panting with blood dripping down her arm right now.
"A psycho threw a little kid…i…i think i won't be boxing anymore"she said with tears as the two held each other in an embrace. It ended right their as they were shocked seeing that how a tiger in the room lost her arm. Nadia watched that part improtantyl as an itching feeling came to her hand as she clnehced it exhaling slowly to ignore it this didn't act up until now.
"I…i…you scarfieced your arm to save him"cardin askeds surprised
"That was pretty metal not going to lie"Rogue said trying to lgithen the mood up but they stared her down because now wasn't the time. But lilith looked completely stunned right now the same women shes been telling for days that he wasn;t her son but her sisters. But she scarfieced her own arm to save her sister only son she could have ignored him but didn;t.
"You…scareifed your arm to save my sister kid?"mars asked with tears as all eyes where on the tiger who sighed looking down looking at her prosthetic hand
"Yeah i did…why do you think i keep getting pissed off you jerks keep saying i'm not technically his mom. I worked very hard to provide for those two and qutie frantically i scarfieced alot to raise them. I almost lost my gym…i lost my boxing career…but…"she paused swallowing thinking her next words carefully then smiled slightly
"But i'm happy i gave them a proper life putting all that hard work in. you….you just come into his life thinking he'll welcome you with open arms…he won't"she said with malice
"So umm uh…now what do we do?"ruby asked now
"I…i don't even know"jaune admitted
"I'm checking on my kid…i'm making sures hes okay…you all can leave now…bye"nadia growled walking away as lilith stared at her walking back to where zane was being kept. It wasn't a long walk as nadia walked toward the room her son was in.
The tiger slowly moved her way over their but just felt horrible that she accidentally touched that memeorie. It made things worse for his mental health after he just started to go through htepray right now. But what hurt worse was that her leaving him home resulted in getting tortured and experimented on for a year straight while she did nothing to help him
She coudln't help but feel terrible wondering how she could help him with his trauma. As soon enough she reached his room as she stared at the door handle swallowing hard. Gripping it she opened the door stepping inside to see him on the bed turned away from him. As dawn was curled up infront of him as layed their sielntly. Nadia walked in sitting on the bed as it creaked for a moment.
He noticed her before looking away"oh uh…h-h-hello"he greeted stuttering. As she frowned being greeted like that as she gently rubbed his head as he flinched but looked down.
"Sweeite…i….i'm so sorry….i…i should have never left you home alone. If i never did then that woudln't have happen to you. You'd just be messing around not that…i…i-"She choked on her words as slowly he sat up with red eyes hugging her for a moment as he shook a little
"Its not your fault…i…i…i'm sorry i'm messed up….i…shouldn't have agreed to do that again"he said with a horased voice as her motherly instinct kicked in wrapping her arms around him trying to comfort him right now the best she could rubbing his back in a circular motion.
"I…look sweetie…during your next session….i'll probably join in on it okay. If their is anything wrong just let me know…i'm here for you. You and your sisters are the best things to ever happen to me in my life"nadia cried as the two held it right now. As near the doorway peeking in on them eavesdropping was lilith who looked down in shame wondering if shes even made her younger sister proud for what shes done.
Later in the night near a landing pad where they held the ships all the despardos were boarding it right now. All of them where boarding it right now with some saying their goodbyes
"Be seeing you mercs…won't be the same without you"cardin replied
"Yeah hey tell the headmaster were staying for a bit me and neps wanna stay with our friends more"sun said
"No problem man though guess your staying for a bit longer nolan"sage asked as he nodded
"After what screwed up stuff i saw…i need to be their for may right now"nola said hugging his boyfriend who returned it. As nezumi stared at vance looking down for what he did early as she sighed
"Kid…your going to have to try and make up what you just made those poor people saw. You just made them see their own family die"nezumi said as he hugged himself
"I know i do…i just hope my cousin is okay"vance said as the women sighed leaning down kissing him on the forehead for a moment then released it rubbing his head gently then looked up surprised
"Where are your guys bags?"nezumi said as some glanced back seeing lilith their along with dante and his brother with a couple hunters their. As the women sighed
"Ummmm i'm…i'm thinking of staying a little longer…we can find our own way back"lilith said to their shock
"Wait..i…i why do you wanna stay now?"celeste asked as they stayed silent for a moment as the women looked down
"Because….i..i should at least do one thing for my sister..make sure her…son is okay with his…new mother"lilith admitted which stunned them for a moment before long the despardo boarded the ship heading back to vacuo. While the grave family decided to stay a little longer.
It seems that the grave family will stay a little longer than intended, along with zane unlocking his final armor form. Yes their will be no more...maybe. But lets see how things play out next chapter.
