A story from mimi

32 asked for a oneshot of Emma at 5 or 6 months pregnant and Snow catches her reading Henry's book to her unborn child. The story she's reading is Merida teaching Snow archery and Snow tells her more about it.

Snow stood at the door to Emma's room and watched her for a while. It was a beautiful sight- Emma lying on her bed with Henry's book propped open in front of her. One hand was holding the book open and the other was rubbing circles on her swollen belly. Emma recognised the story, it was Princess Merida teaching her how to use a bow and arrow to survive in the woods.

"Good story that." Snow said, finally making her presence known. She moved round and lay beside Emma on the empty side of the bed. "But the book can't give you a first person point of view, can it my little one?" Snow cooed to Emma's belly, a hand reaching out to rub her hand over the belly.

"You do realise my belly isn't a magic lamp, right? Rubbing it won't make the baby appear any quicker." Emma grumbled, her hormones making her slightly moodier than usual.

"No this is true but seeing as I spent many sleepless nights, sore backs and a now permanently damaged bladder making the owner of said belly I reserve the right to give it a rub when my grandbaby is inside. Now anyway, I believe you were sharing one of my stories with them. Let mimi tell it to you from her side…" Snow began to tell the story of how she had bumped into the Scottish princess with the world's greatest accent (…no bias there) and had been totally unprepared for a life on the run. The feisty redhead had taken pity on her and taught her the ways of archery as well as give her a bow and a handful of arrows to shoot with. Snow hadn't even finished her story when she noticed that Emma had drifted off. Snow smiled down at her snoozing daughter, kissing her forehead and pulling the cover up to her chin.

"Sleep well. I'll wake you for dinner. You need all your nutrients right now." Snow tiptoed out of the room and left Emma to snooze.
