Chapter 55:trudging through the snow
Back in the argus train station right now the train was pulling up to the station at that moment. As waiting for the trian to arrive at that moment was winter and the others with her. With calida being excited right now to see her daugther at that moment.
"Oh i'm so glad the train got here safe and sound. I was so worried for a second"calida said in relief
"You said it i mean sucks they had to be on a crowed train"nancy replied
Though along with them was general cordvoin as both paddy and bonnet where by her side with their hands behind the back. The two needed to keep up their look of being proper military soidlers for their kingdom right now
"Yes. though when i asked about my granddaughter and her team. It troubles me to hear two of them became gravely hurt"cordoving said
"Well were sorry that happened on my watch ma'am. Maybe if me and…beidou where smarter we–"paddy was stopped by her

As the train was pulling up bonnet noticed something a large part of the trian was missing. Then immediately severely people came rushing off the train in complete relief right now seeming happy to have survived the train ride at the time

"Oh i sure as hell did. Because right now i'm very pissed off"lazuli growled in anger right now.
"You mean how two people have been lying to us probably the entire time!"zephyra shoued pointing at the two immortal right now as they all glared at the two. As ember flinched seeing that shaking right now as ozpin looked down with tears streaming down his face
Then he looked up at all of them seeing hateful gazes across their face. But a few where replaced by the faces of his old allies that he lost long ago to that witch
"I…i…"ozpin tired to speak but was stopped

"I've fought in this shadow war for most of my life! I was forced into self isoaltion because of that dam witch! Your lover! You lied to me and my teammates…my family….my husband! "Summer shouted as her eyes began to take hold of the other power. As they were slowly filling with blackness right now
Ozpin coguhed and gasping for air as she kept putting pressure on his neck. Like she was ready to strangle him to death right now as the others watched on scared to even go near her right now. As maria stared at summer for a moment seeing her other eyes
"Oh that isn't good girl. Wu taught you better than that i'm sure"maria thought walking over with her cane to confront her

As yang growled in rage walking over to a tree roaring punching it so hard. The trunk began to crack as it creaked before falling down into the snow hard creating a large snow cloud
"Enough! We need to all get a move right now before it gets dark out, also your all spewing alot of negativity!"maria shouted before helping oscar up with her cane as she hobbled over around the in the snow
Then she pointed at a trail with her cane that was a dirt trail that was blocked slightly by a snowstorm blinding them
"Theirs even a trail over here, trails lead to somewhere also one of you is injured. He needs somewhere to rest. All of you are acting very stupid right now"maria scolded
"Lady we don't even know who you are…but shut up"lazuli warned but summer actually back her up speaking up

They all began to continue their way through the snow beginning to follow the trail. About maybe twenty minutes in on following the trail they were all starting to feel the effects of the cold. Along with that even weiss who shivered rubbign her arms right now

Though as they kept walking may kept chattering with her teeth right now. But then she decided to maybe scan ahead for any sigh of life with her eye. Lfiitng her beanie up she expected too see with her left eye. But to her shock she only saw half of her perception right now
"What the…no…no…no…no...don't tell me its broken!"may shouted with worry catching their attention

"Yeah this isn't going to work…i'm s-s-s-still freezing over here"blake said as her teeth began to chatter

"Shes right…please just do it right now…its…f-f-freezing"onyxia begged as her tail swayed slowly from the cold right now.
Seeing them all freezing he sighed going into his drakon form. Once he did immediately yang found a fire dust crystal in her bag. Next she looked for the slot for a moment finding it as she placed the dust shard into the slot
Soon enough the white lines around his joints started to turn bright red like they where on fire. Next his helmet slots bursted as flames spewed from them for a moment but died down leaving a glow behind isntead of the full. Then the membrane on his wings switched colors to a bright orange color
Catsiouly blake placed a hand near his wings actually feeling very warm heat coming off him right now
"Oh my god it works…please don't burn us while your in this form"blake said
"I.."he stopped as he opened his mouth a stream of fire came out of his mouth which startled them. As it almost nailed weiss on her tail but luckily she jumped away in time growling at him
"Are you trying to burn my tail right now!"weiss growled as her said tail thrashed around. Then he covered his mouth shaking his head in shock becuase he didn't know about that. As they stared at him confused as he began to sign

As he spread his wings out far enough for about maybe four of them to crowd near it right now. That being may, onxyia, cardin along with blake. As the rest of them crowded near rogue as they kept truding on through the snow at that moment
But as they did summer stared ar maria who was sitting on the bike crossed legged but could feel her staring

As she said that soon enough they reached the end of the trail. But far off into the distance right now their was what looked to be a town as the snow dog obseucred it slightly

"Thats a relief…lets follow the rest of the…path"nadia replied but looked down the path with the rest of them. They all stared down the path right now as they all saw several trees blocking the path right now which puzzled them why they were knocked down

Then onxyia studied their surrounding for a bit before laying her eyes on something right now. That being a lake made completely of ice along with noticing a small path that was close to it at that moment
"Well ummm i don't wanna suggest this…but theirs a lake made of ice right here"she said getting all their attention right now

"No she might have a point. If the only way across to that town is through the lake. We might have to take the chance….their is a small path but its not wide enough for the bike to move around. We can either ditch it and…"he heisated on nate
As he was shivering right now bundled up with what blankets though they could find in the train. But zane knew what he was going to say growling at him as he pointed a clawed finger at him
"We are not leaving him behind! Say that again and god so help me i'll snap your neck! Then dig your other eye out! Jills dead because that psycho beta….that knight is next"he warned with a dark and meancig tone in his voice scaring some right now

"Well me and ruby could but that be leaving some of you over here. And we can't make too many trips since the lake does seem rather far apart from where we are"summer pointed out as her daughter studied the lake for a moment snapping her figner
"I think i have an idea. Sis walk your bike down that path over their, zephyra go with her to watch her back. While me and mom both carry nate across. With the two of us we can carry him across to meet you guys on the other side."ruby said her plan as they thought for a moment liking the sound of it
"I think that might work. But…i can maybe use my glyphs though…not enough to support this many people"weiss replied
Cardin swallowed hard"does that mean we have to…go across the path made completely of ice?"he neoruvsly asked as regrettable they all nodded

While yang walked the path carefully to their right with zephyra right behind her. As the rest had to cross the dangerous ice lake right now. As blake catuosuly planted a foot taking very light steps onto the thing icy layer
They all began to carefully make their way across the sheet of ice. All of the made sure to take extra careful steps. As lazuli planted one foot down below in the water it bubbled for a little bit as she kept taking very careful steps slowly freaking out
"God….if i get to the other side…i'm punching red"lazuli said
"Ha ha funny….i'm trying hard not to piss my pants over here. Seriously this is nerve racking"cardin admitted scared himself right now
"Guys! Focus….we need to be careful right now. One false step and where done"weiss reminded
"She right. The ice may support our weight but remeber to be spread out far enough. Spread the weight out evenly"adam firmly ordered
They all agreed on that as they were slowly making their way across the lake at that moment. After maybe a full half hour it seems but it felt like hours to them. But the last two still not on land yet was adam along with may. The two of them slowly kept making their way across. But thanks to may terrible death perception right now she took one wrong step. Immediately she went upward as her foot slide as she landed hard on her back
This made them all jump at that moment staring at her as she groaned rubbing her head right now.
"I'm good….stupid death perception i…"She stopped as the sound of cracking could be heard below her at that moment. Slowly glancing below her right now she stared at the ice beneath her seeing the tienst of hairline cracked right now. Then she stared at the others in complete fear right now
Before they knew it the ice soon gave way as it came out from underneath her as she screamed falling into the ice cold water. All of them went immediately wide eyed as she immediately began to sink under water
"May!"ruby called out as they watched her go under as the closest person was adam. Immeidlaty he threw his sword and pack over to their side. Then he took a running start and a deep breath diving straight into the cold water
Once he was underwater he could feel the cold waters around him at that moment. But he glanced down finding it hard to see with his eye. Luckily he saw may who was trying to swim up but she was being weighed down by her backpack right now. Immediately he swam right now as he helped her slip if off ditching it
But as he did him and may both noticed something in the water startling them. That being a corpse their beign weighed down by a bunch of cinder blocks seeming to be stuck frozen screaming right now. May screamed opening her mouth as all that came out was bubbles
Immediately adam began to swim placing an arm underneath her as the two began to swim back to the top. They got near the edge where the ice was as adam pounded on it as on the other side yang noticed them. She rushed over reeling her fist back and with one mighty punch cracked the ice where they were. Adam gasped for air coughing struggling to pull may up
But cardin and nadia both rushed over helping the two out pulling them out. Though both of them were comply soaked as may kept coughing and gasping for air hacking up some water.
"Oh thank god you guys are okay…nice job bull boy"lazuli thanked. Although the two now felt frigid from the cold right now as it felt like negative 100 degrees for them right now
"We gotta get inside and warm them up"weiss said with haste. As they all stared at what was infront of them right now. That being a metal sigh that creaked with the wind as it read"bushwick farms". They don't know what horrors they might have stumbled upon
