Virtual EF

lovelyja asked for a oneshot of Emma and Henry create the EF on the Sims 3 (I picked this one as I'm afraid I don't really know Minecraft!). Snow and Charming disapprove of the time the pair spend in front of a screen, but whilst they are out they sneak onto it and correct any mistakes the pair have made on their virtual world.

"Are they sitting in front of that screen again?" Charming asked, exasperated. Snow nodded glumly, her offer of a game of Kerplunk denied.

"They're determined to turn the Enchanted Forest into little animated people and houses. Honestly if you ask me the whole thing is ridiculous." Snow grumbled. She'd hardly got a word out of her daughter or grandson all week! Neither of them had.

"Well, I for one have had enough." Charming said, getting up. "It'll turn their eyes square!" He marched over to the computer where he found his daughter and grandson conversing together about the best colour for Ella and Thomas' bedroom (apparently Emma though violet whilst Henry thought a light shade of lime). "Right, stop whatever it is you're doing and turn around." Charming ordered them. Curious, Emma and Henry did as they were told. "You've been on that stupid thing for long enough. Your mom and I could use a break from Neal so you two are taking him to the park. Not once you've finished whatever you're doing. Now." Charming gave them both such a stern look that they decided it was best not to argue. So instead they walked away grumbling whilst they pulled on their shoes and jackets before getting Neal in his pram and taking him out. Once they were gone, Snow and Charming couldn't help but browse the little virtual world (well, after Charming had googled how the game worked so they knew the instructions). Snow and Charming couldn't help but laugh at all the slight inaccuracies. Just little things like who was neighbours with who and the way some of the pretend villages were set out. Snow and Charming quickly set about fixing it for them, fairly proud of their work considering they'd never played video games before.

When Emma and Henry came back, they quickly deposited Neal in Snow's arms and went back to the computer. They found a post-it note stuck to the screen in Charming's handwriting:

I think you'll find this to be more accurate. Was all it said. They peeled it off and looked at the differences to their small world. Snow and Charming smiled from the doorway, knowing this might be the only want to really show their family what their home had been like.
