Chapter 55:This place gives me the chills
The group truged their way into the farmstead to hopefully find some saviors here. As they moved their way in with both adam and may soaked in water pratrcualry freezing from the cold right now.
As they arived smehwere with a large two story farmhouse along with severlal greenhouse that are flanking a cobblestone drive way that lead up to a house. Their were also two barns and several other smaller homes probably for the farmhands on the fram.
But they all noticed something that was making them creeped out. No one was outside right now along with that several of the houses didn't even have lights on. Which just made this entire place give a very eerie atmosphere to this place right now
"Okay…this is weird…did anyone come to greet you guys?"lazuli asked with an arm wrapped around adam who kept chattering his teeth right now from the blistering cold. As zane held may princess style as she wrapped her arms around her waist shivering from the cold right now as it stung on her skin.
"No…but….this is weird. I mean why is this town even empty?"ruby asked scared a little right now as they pased by some unfised or damaged building. As yang stared at one seeing what looked like some sort of grimm marks where their making her on edge
"I don't know…but something came here. You think it was the manticore knight?"yang asked
"Maybe…hes a persistent man. But he might even be out their as we speak. That tumble wouldn't have killed him. I should know i droped a whole bridge on him last time to slow him down"summer replied
"Enough balbbering guys…these three will freeze to death if we aren't fast enough"zane said with worry and haste as nate kept shivering himself right now as his wounds hurt from the crash. Soon enough they got to the front of the house as nadia banged on the door to get the owners attention
"Anyone home! We need help we have people hurt!"she called out waiting for a response but got nothing. Zephyra peered inside to what might be the living room.
"I think we need to bust in"she said
Immediately the tiger reeled her foot back kicking the door in which sent it flying. Then all of them quickly got inside to get away from the cold. Once they did cardin shoved a large drawer infront of the door to block the cold from getting in
As they were inside the palace had a staircase that lead to the second floor on the left. Their was a ground floor library from the looks of it with several books that looked worned down from the look of it. Their was even a fireplace for someone to bundle up next to if they got cold from the chilling storms.
"So anyone else finding it weird. How no one is even here?"rogue pointed the obvious out
As summer and blake both set nate down as he began to cough a little form his wounds. But immediately lazuli rushed over placing adam on a touch as he kept chattering his teeth alot. Along with may soaking wet making a bit of her clevage be revealed as she coughed a little herself
"We need to look for blankets right now to warm them up. Rouge use ember to keep them warm"weiss suggested as soon ember remeerged in a smaller form from the gaunelnt to speak
"Oh um you can take me off for that i can…"She was stopped
"No. i know when i have to take this stupid glove off and it has to be before a day happens. Also why should we trust what you have to say? For all we know that dumb curse is a lie and if i set you down. You'll betray us"rogue said in a cold tone to the women shock
"No…i wouldn;'t lie i…"she was stopped
"Shut up. Right now we need to stave the cold off…just keep us warm. All your good for right now"rogue said with venom as the fire spirit kept her peace nodding as she returned to her gem. Then a brighter flame came from the plam of the guanlent as she sat cross legged
"Okay we should split up and search for something to get them warm. "Summer ordered
"Me and weiss can check the upstairs. Maybe if where lucky we can run into someone"zephyra said walking upstairs with weiss as they went to search for blankets. As the others began to look around the room they where in at that moment
"So this seems to be a library or study"oscar pointed out
"What made you think that sherlock?"lazuli rudely replied as he looked down a that
As they kept searching around onxyia passed by a set of picture that showed several people. It seemed like a family that owned the farm. Along with all the workers their as she stared at one with a man and his wife. Their were also four kids with them with one of them holding a stuff dog plushie in her arms.
While she looked at it blake walked over staring at it
"Seems this was the family that lived here"blake said
"Seems so but…okay anyone else a little creeped out right now?"onxyia asked as they all felt very uneasy right now with the current atmosphere
"You said it. Major horror movies vibes here because this is just downright creepy"cardin agreed with
"Yeah…thoguh we should find some food in a bit. Cook a small meal by the fire maybe"zane mentioned
"Your right lets ge–"ruby was stopped as a very loud high pitch scream could be heard upstairs where weiss and zephyra were. Immediately ruby drew her scythe with a worried look rushing forward the stairs
"Weiss! Zephyra!"ruby shouted out as all of them began to chase her upstairs. Which left behind rogue,maria and oscar to watch over the three in the living room
They all kept sprinting up the stairs as zephyra stumbled out of the room her and weiss went in. she backed up against the wall with a horrofeid look across her face right now like she saw a ghost
"Zeph! What the heck are you two screaming about?!"yang shouted to the heiress. But zephyra had shaky hands slwoly pointing at the room infront of them with a scared look
"In…in their…we…we found the owners"zephyra answered
This confused them as they walked inside the room right now as weiss had her mouth covered in horror right now. But they all looked in shock to see something on the bed right now. That being a pair of decomposing corpses on the bed right now. They looked like they've been rotting for weeks
"Oh man that is not right"cardin said gagging from the sight along with the stench of them right now. As the faunus with them all smelt the putrid stench of death in this room. But summer walked over to investigate something
As she did she noticed something in the man hand that being a revolver. Along with a shell casing near the floorboard then glanced at his head. Then the women seeing a bullhole was in her nightgown at that moment
"These two…have bulletwounds. I think someone might have killed them…judging by their bodies. I say about two weeks maybe they been dead"summer deduced bringing the sheet over them to show them some repscts
"Okay…this is freaking me out now even more. I mean…do you think whoever killed them is still here?"cardin asked making them uneasy right now.
"So we might have a serial killer here. Just great what we needed right now another one"zane growled in annoyance
Then nadia noticed a cleost close by opening it and too her luck their were several wool blankets in their. Along with a few pillows as she pulled them out presenting them to the group
"Well we got something to wrap those three up along with ourselves. Come on we can regroup back downstairs to talk"nadia said as they all agreed on that
Immeidaitly they headed downstairs as oscar started a fire right now with rogues help. As may and adam were huddled up by it still soaking wet right now. Though immediately onxyia took a blanket walking over to may wrapping her up in one as may pulled the blanket tight around her
"Thanks…w-w-w-wolfie…god this sucks"may said as her teeth chattered
"No problem"onxyai replied sweetly as lazuli grabbed one wrapping it around adam who nodded appreciating it very much right now as he felt some relief from it. Once they all got in the room oscar was curious what happened upstairs
"So did you find something upstairs?"he asked as zephyra and weiss where still rather shaken up from what they saw upstairs early. As the two sat near the fireplace to warm themselves up
"If you count two dead bodies with bullholes in them. Then no…because this place just got a whole lot creepier right now"yang answered which is what they weren't expecitng right now
"Really? How long you think they been dead?"rogue asked
"Well their body are decomposing which means it might have been for a while. But…the bullet holes look about two weeks old"summer replied making the medic who groaned sitting up as he rubbed his side that was in pain for a moment
"That shouldn't be possible….decomposition takes months. If their all shriveld up i'm assuming…that would take maybe…a whole month and a half. With the cold it would even slow it down. Someone has to be here."nate said
"Hes right maybe we should go outside and see if anyone else is here"zane said as they all stayed silent for a moment. Because none of them really wanted to explore the creepy farmstead at that moment. Until he groaned rubbing his face as he drew a revolver out
"Then its just me…i need some backup at least. If we got an axe murderer out their i'm not dying in those horror movies"he added
"I'll…g-g-go i should be warm enough"Adam said shvieirng still but lazuli stopped him making him sit down to warm up by the fire place
"Nope. i'll come with cousin besides maybe i can zip around the house to see if anyone is their."lazuli replied
"Your right…i think i saw a storage shed here. Maybe their could be a car in their we can use"yang added
"True but i'll come with you"blake said as onxyia hesiated but may sighed
"Wolfie go…i can handle myself fine right here. Someone gotta keep these two company"may said as the wolf nodded joining her best friend along with yang. As cardin decided to join in too
"I can go with grimm boy and lazuli. Three is better than two we can check the houses for anyone else here. You guys check for a ride"cardin said as they all nodded in agreement
Then the six left door as nadia decided to go with them but summer shvoed the drawer back into place to seal them out. Once she did ruby looked around for a moment as she noticed a small pot near the fireplace
"Hey we can look for food inside. A nice warming meal can warm everyone up right now"ruby said as she looked toward the two heiress as they shared a look with each other groaning in unison as they followd her
Summer sighed placing a hand on her weapon"i'll stay here i guess and talk with you maria. I'd…like to talk about wu"she said but the old women attention was drawn to a book with a I on the cover of it.
"I think i'll do my own digging right now. This seems to be a journal from the looks of it we can see what where dealing with here"maria siad sitting on the floor as they all got comfy for the long stay they might have here.
Outside right now with the others the snowstorm was starting to pick up speed right now. As they would all barely see a thing right now as they tried to call out to each other
"I can't see a thing out here!"lazuli called out
"what?!"Cardin shouted back finding it hard to hear her right now
But nadia had an idea as she grabbed her son hand holding it confusing him. Then she grabbed lazuli for a moment as others got what she was doing. Cardin locked hands with lazuli. As blake, onxyia and yang did the same thing.
Both the groups split off as with nadia and her groups. They began to brave their way through the thick winter storm. The snow dragged them down a little on their journey but they weren't giving up. As they continued to trudge through it as lazuli noticed something a building with a small light on its seems
"Hey theirs a building with a light on!"she called out as the thre luckily heard it
"Oh great the serial killer!"cardin joked as they got to the door that led to a small house. Lazuli peeked inside a window seeing someone sitting in a rocking chair it seems from the look of it. Along with that their was a small lamp that was light inside of the home
"Hello! Hello! Are you alive or here to kill us right now?!"she asked pounding on the window to get a response. But she got none as the figure in the chair didn't even move as she looked toward them
"Okay…then we gotta bust in"zane said as him and cardin stood side by side with each other. Then immediately the two of them rushed forward slamming all their body wieght into the door. As it flung open as the two stumbled for a small moment but caught themselves
But once they were inside the room it seemed like a simple furnished with some simple chairs and a small table in the room. Their was even a small makeshift kitchen for the workers to eat something in their morning themselves. But immediately nadia shut the door behind them placing a chair on the handle locking it for now
"Okay…the creepy guy in the other room didn't respond…you think we should say hi?"lazuli asked pulling out her sword
"I think we should might get answer"cardin said as he pulled his mace out at the ready. With nadia revealing her gauntlet as zane drew one revolver out as he undid his hidden blade from his guanelnt
Lazuli took lead on this one as the began to guide them carefully through the small home. She kept doing this as she cautisoouly apporahced the room with them. Then as she stepped on a floorboard it creaked slightly as she winced pointing her sword at a door right now
Their was a small light coming from it right now as they could guess the mysterious person was in their. But to their surprise nothing came guessing their in the clear for now. Immediately they all arrived at the door as she pushed the door slowly to open it
Once she did it made a very loud creaking noise as they had their weapons at the ready. Though to their shock the figure in the chair didn't react to them. Instead they sat their silently as a heavy parka was on him right now
This made them all confused for a moment as they slowly moved their weapons down
"Hey buddy….you alive over here?"Cardin called out getting no response which made them feel something unsettling right now. Then he slowly took the lead as he approached them not responding to them at all
"Hey! Are you okay over here!"he shouted now as he bumped into the chair knocking the person out of it. But they landed on him as he stared down on what was on him. That being a very dried out looking corpse as he went wide eyed
Immedialty cardin screamed at the top of his lungs right now like a little girl.
"Get it off! Get the raisen like dead guy off me!"he demanded as immedailty nadia walked over tearing the corpse off him as it landed on its back facing up at them with their face looking dried up and decomspoed just like the farm owenrs inside
"Okay so that guys isn't really going to talk to us. But…why is their a light here. It should have gone out days ago"nadia said but they stared at the light source
As it seemed to be a small device that looked military grade from the looks of it actually. As upon closer inspection their was some batteries in it along with a charging pack close by. Zane looked at the pack examining it for a moment
"This is military grade…why would some random farmer have this with him?"he commented
"I don't know but….oh my god!"lazuli shotued in complete shock staring at the corpse face a little more relaziing something
"What? You find something?"nadia aksed her niece but it was the opposite
"No…i…i…the corpse…its that murderer we ran into on the train! Dango!"lazuli shouted stunning them as upon further isnepction on her end she noticed his face resmebling dango from the look of it
But wanting to be sure she moved the parka around for a moment seeing something a crimson talon uniform. Which confirmed her theory
"Wait that guy you ran into on the train. Why the heck would he be out here in the middle of no where?" cardin questioned confused
"I don't know maybe he escaped from the authotiries. But didn't you guys end up in windpath how did he end up here?"Zane asked confused
Although nadia soon noticed something that being a video recorder as she picked it up seeing their was still battery left to it. Along with some entries that only date back a week ago.
"Well apparently he busted out not too long ago. Look here this video entries that are only a week old. How did he rot away this fast"nadia said deciding to play the video recorder right now. They huddled around it as she sat on the bed as they stared at the screen
It soon showed a flesh colored dango shivering right now trying to warm himself up right now as he sneezed rubbing his very red nose
"Dammit…day 1. I got luckily rescued by some of my colleagues in the talon. Though that dumb bitch racheal is probaly in argus. Too bad i don't have her wrapped around my finger right now then i would have put the blame all on her and she'd go with it"he said as they didn't like him already
"Man i do not like him already. He seems like a dick"cardin replied
"You have no idea. Guess they ambushed his transport assuming he had those plans and manifest for atlas along with those prototypes"lazuli said as it continued
"But right when they rescue me. I started to get integrated on something why i didn't have that dumb flahsdrive. Mainly becuase some snot nose meddling kids interrupted my plans. I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for them. Along with that annoying girl…next time i see her i'll snap her little neck"he said
As they all four swapped looks with each other then starred at his corpse. Lazuli nudged it with her foot expecitng him to be faking it but he didn't react
"Guess you won't jerk…shame you died like this or whatever"She said as the recording continue
"But….no that dumb grimm knight…beta stuck me out here for some reason. Said this is my punishment. If i can last a week here…i'll be fine. But all i could find are bodies here right now. Theirs a snowcat in the shed i think….but i don't have the tools to bust inside it. But…something weird is about this place"he said as the recording ended but they just heard some goods news they have a ride here
"Whoa…did he just say theirs a car here?"cardin asked excited
"He talked about a snowcat. Those things are meant to travel through the snow…if were lucky could fix it up. But the others might have found it anyway"zane replied as soon enough another recorder played but something was different
It was only dated a few days ago revealing a very worse for wear dango. As he seemed like he was very exhausted right now. Along with that groaning in the video clutching his head seeming to be in immense pain right now
"Ughhh day…what day is it? I don't know…why am i doing another one of these?"he said seeming confused why he was doing another recording
"Okay this is weird…do you think something is messing with him here?"cardin asked as it continued with him yawning as he leaned back in the chair behind him seeming to be very tired right now
""I just…need to stick it out for a few more days i think. I inveistgated the house….found some booze here. Though heard something in the cellar…their might be something here that killed all these farmers or whatever. They locked it in the cellar"he said as the reocreding ended as nothing else was left
As they felt very creeped out on why he mentioned the cellar at that moment making them worried what was down their
""Okay lets stay away from the cellar. But did he say all the farmers are dead?"zane asked
Immediately they got back outside grabbing dango pack but lazuli decided to use her semblance. She immedialty speed off kicking some snow up in their faces as they whipped it off. Then not three minutes later she came back to them kicking more snow up in their face
Nadia whipped the snow off shaking her head"so you find something out their?"She asked as the girl had a stunned look
"I've chekced all the workers houses. Their are a bunch of dead bodies in each of them its like his. Something did this to all of them…i think we might be dealing with a grimm or someone who can drain people of their fluids"lazuli answered which caught them offguard
"Okay…lets head back to the main house. This is too creepy"zane said as they locked hands beginning to walk back to the house
Although with blake and the others they were approaching a large shed close by to the property right now. As they approached it yang gripped the handles on it as she began to pull on them with all her might. Then threw the doors open as the other two rushed inside the shed
Then she pulled the doors to keep the snow out as she slammed them shut. As she whiped the snow shaking it out of her hair. As blake had some snow in her ears grunting in annoyance digging some out as they twithced from the cold
With onxyia shaking herself off feeling relieved to be somewhere warm. But wished some of her clothes where woven in fire dust right now which would be a godsend actually.
"Man its freezing out their. Seriously that snowstorm is pretty brutal out their right now"yang replied
"You said it. Hope the others are having a better time"blake replied
As they soon stared at what was infront of them. Their were several different shelves cotnaining parts along with farming supplies. Some of them cotnained rakes, trowerls, shovels along with some fertiflzer from the look of it. But one thing caught yang eyes as she gasped
That being a large enclsoved vichale that seemed to be enclsoed from the looks of it. Along with that their was a set of tread or tracks if you like that where made of metal with a mix of rubber style. Their was also a back seat of it that seemed to be a truck bed from design with it being quite spacious. As the blonde cheered in joy
"Oh my god todays our luck! We found a car today is the best!"she cheered but the two fuanus looked a little confused right now
"What is this exactly? Becuase to me it looks like a giant snow plow"oxnyai said confused tilting her head as the blonde stared at them
Her dad along with grandfather knew a thing or two about vehicles. Mainly her grandfather on her dad side because he would take her and ruby on these snowtrips in his private cabin in mistral actually. Along with that he had snowmboiels and even this bad boy
"Are you kidding me! This thing is design to drive through the snow! Which means we just got lucky with finding a ride to take us out of this place now!"she cheered in joy rushing over as her girlfriend potined the obvious out.
"It might not be in working right now yang"blake said
The blonde hoped it wasn't the case, as she opend the door to the truck. Then she got inside looking around the interior of it for any keys for the ride. Trying her luck she pulled the visor up as they fell down with onxyia climbing in from the other side as the blonde smiled
"Always gotta check up here for them"she said
"Well try to se if its working. Lets hope where lucky for once"blake said
As the blonde nodded placing the key in the ignition for a moment. Then she closed her eyes as the two crossed their fingers. Yang twisted hard on the key to start the engines as after a few seconds passed by. Soon enough the sound of an engine starting could be heard as the three shared a look
Yang began to become giddy immediately as she quickly hoped out. Then pulled a chair over infront of the hood. She popped the bad boy open as she saw something that made her feel relived. That being the engines purring right now with it actually working
"Its working! Its actually working right now we should tell the others!"yang cheered as the other two felt much relief themsleves upon hearing that even
"So we have a ride…fianlly some luck"blake said relived
"Yep. now we can just tell the others and…."onxyia stopped for a moment noticing something near the window. That being a cloaked figure as she narrowed her gaze toward it for a moment wandering what was their. As she kept staring at it started to take shape.
That shape being ollie weaver as he stared at her with wide open arms. But what troubled her was seeing six spider like limps on his back as he had piercing red eyes. The wolf yelled in fear at that falling out of the passenger side onto the ground hard
Blake and yang were surprised by that rushing over to see her on the ground rubbing her head right now
"Hey are you okay? Did something happen?"blake asked rushing to her side with worry
"Yeah what don't tell me something scared you or something"yang joked but actually something was. As she looked back out the window he was gone as she sighed in relief
"Actually yeah…i thought i saw ollie outside but….correct me if i'm wrong. But i saw him with six extra arms and red eyes"onxyai said puzzling the two at that moment right now. Blake hoisted her up as she sat the wolf down on a nearby chair for a moment
"Are you having nightmares again? Look if their happening you can let me know"blake said with worry as the wolf shook her head
"No they haen't happened in the last month actually. Which means it might have just been me worried about the people i thought die"She replied as her tial wagged a little which relieved blake hearing that right now
"Thats great but…why do you think you saw him out their?"blake asked
The wolf thought for a moment on why she thought she saw him out their. Then she began to recall soemthing she saw back on the train as she looked scared
"Well back on the train. When i detached the hooks holding it together…i could have sworn i saw him. But…but…he had red eyes along with that i thought i saw him with white skin. Like a grimm hybrid"she started which confused the two
"Uhhh no way he is one of them. He must have return to the fang after what happened in havan"yang argued but blake decided to speak up
"Actually she might not be wrong. From what i heard from ilia…she said he had already pledge his allegiance to salem. It wouldn't be too far fetched that he managed to survive the process. Which means he survived getting his…back torn open"blake said shivering at that thought still
The wolf flinched at that herself because she felt terrible seeing her boyfriend go trough that. Along with how hes acting he might actually want to kill the next grimm knight they see. She seen and experience what killing someone is like and its never pretty
"Yeah but…look um…i still sometimes think adam is out to get us. I mean….he has to be tricking us."onxyia said hesiaitng it seems which they noticed immediately on her hesitating on those words
"What you still don't trust kittys ex? Well…belive it or not i actually trust the guy right now"yang admitted which came to quite a shock to the two who had past experiences with him and ollie
"Wait you do?"blake asked a little surprised as her girlfriend nodded
"Uh duh. First off we've given him multiple opportunities to kill us. I mean he could have just let your girlfriend drow in the water. He could have just let me be scarfied to the wendgio back in the anima to save his own hide"yang said pacing for just a moment then turend to the two
"But he didn't…i think…i think he might actually wanna redeem himself. It sounds far fetched but he might be on our side. Heck when we get to atlas oh boy gonna be hard to tell them why hes with us"She added
They all stayed silent for a moment as onxyia thought about what happened early. How adam could have let may just drown in the water. But he dove in at the chance of getting hypothermia right now and freeze to death to just save her. Soon enough they stayed in an awkward silence long enough
"Maybe your right….hey wanna hear how him and blake sucked face back in the fang everyday? Or that she became smitten with him as kids"onxyia said which made her cat faunus best friend go flush at that
This made yang start to snicker at that before bursting into laughter. Blake growled balling her metal hand up bonking the wolf lightly on the head as onxyia laughed
"Shut up! You became smitten with zane on the first day you saw him back in beacon!"blake shotued but the wolf was now immune to teasing
"You can't mess with me now. But lets tell the others the good news right now"onxyia said running off as quickly yang turned the vehicles off to save the gas on it. As they did the snow started to become thicker around the area
Back inside where ruby, weiss and zephyra where right now. They where busy looking around as they found some bottles of liqour on nearby shelves. But they decided to keep looking until they rounded a corner
"Seriously?"zpehyra said
As their was a whole bar their even along with more bottles of liquor on the shelf behind it. Which meant this farmstead really loved their liquor
"Huh lucky my un…dad isn't here. That is still weird to say after so long"ruby admitted
"Uhhh we have a tiger who might like the booze here as well. Should we hide this from her or something?"zephyra asked as the two nodded. Quickly they hide the booze bottles behind the counter a sthey kept searching around the room for a bit
Then they got to a stroage room as they opened it but as they did. It creaked a little as their was no lights in the room. But zephyra light up her mace with some firedust as weiss conjured up a small glyph that had a small flame. Luckily though ruby found a light switch
"Found a light switch"She called out flipping the light switch which revealed what was in the room
That being several shelves that lined the room. As on each of them where either old looking jars along with even more liquor bottles. Which just made them find that strange how much liquor these guys have right now. But they searched for any food at that moment
But as they did weiss sighed rubbing her arm with a heavy heart saying this
"Ruby…are we still going back to atlas?"weiss asked surprising the two
"Why wouldn't we be? I thought you wanted to see your mom"ruby replied
"Yeah along with putting your dirtbag dad behind bars. I mean we have enough evidence to actually do it actually"zephyra supported
But the heiress hugged herself for a moment sighing as her tail swayed around then drooped to the ground.
"Well..i mean you heard what jinn said. If there is no way to kill salem, then whats the point in all of this?"weiss said with worry as ruby soften her gaze
"You can't be serious about this?"She asked concerned as the heiress looked down sighing again
"Sorry just…i don't know what i'm saying right now. I'm really tired and i'm stressed out if my baby brother is hurt. I…this place gives me the creeps"weiss said as the other two shared it
"Same here though…your mom mentioned early that she managed to injury her before. Thier has to be a way to do it. I mean that lucifer guy stabebd her and almost killed her maybe"zephyra said as the two looked at her
"You might be right….though…ughhhh"ruby groaned because she saw more alcoholic bevsarge in this storage room right now. This was like heaven for her dad right now if he was here right now
"More liquor…at least we can start a fire"zephyra said before long they all shined their lights on something. That being a wine cellar from the looks of it but the chains on it where undone right now which made them a little scared right now.
"Okay lets just chain these back up because i don't like this"zephyra said as the two agreed deciding to chain up the cellar door again real quick. But as they did ruby gasped seeing something on one of the shelfs that being lines of cans of food
"food!"She cheered picking up a can of chili from the look of it. As the two atlasian stared at that meger food choice

"Oh trust me we can work with this. Also we got a couple people who have survival skills. They can make it taste pretty good"ruby argued as she was right
"True here lets grab as much as we can. Then cook something up because this place gives me the creeps"weiss replied as they all began to grab any cans they could carry
Once they were leaving the room at the cellar door where they put the chains. Unknown to them something banged against it as a clawed hand reached through the crack with a screech being heard down below like something was down their.
As maybe after an hour the others where coming back as the three set the food out. But as they stepped isndie immedialty sumemr stepped forward to question them
"How are things out their right now?"summer asked
"Storm looks to be clearing out soon enough. Maybe by the morning by my guess"onxyia answered
"Yeah and guess what we found in the shed. An actually working vehicle and its a snowcat. We got an easy way now to argus"yang said which made them all go up in high spirits
"Thank god! I do not like this place…its creeping me out after we saw that weird cellar"zephyra said which made some of them stare at her very concerned
"Uhhh did you guys go down in their?"lazuli asked which creeped them all out right now wondering if something bad is down their
"Whyyyyyyy?"rogue asked holding brimstone close in her arms right now as they talked
"Well lets just say we found dango out in one of the house"lazuli replied which confused some but both adam and weiss looked surprised
"Wait that man on the train before? Why was he here? I though mistral huntsman turned him in to the auhrtoities?"adam asked
"Nope. turns out the guy got freed by the talon who he worked for. But uh…well yeah he aint moving anymore. Turns out he got dropped off here a week ago but well hes decomposing like everyone else"nadia explained as nate chuckled now bundle up in several blanekts as he smield
"Oh that asshole is dead….good…raped..m-my…best friend. Rach will be happy to hear that"nate said panting for air right now as zane looked worried immediately rushing over forcing him to lay down
"Save your strength man. Owed you that much for making sure i didn't die from hypothermia after what i did back in the snow"he said as the man chuckled sighing
'But…come on i didn't wrap some kid in a jacket…man its cold"nate said as nadia walked over with dango pack shifting through it. Luckily she found some heating packs as she stuck it inside his blanket. Then handed one to may and adam who appreciated it
"Their we go….though is that door chained shut?"nadia asked
"Yep…do you think something is down their?"ruby asked as right now maria was reading another journal from the looks of it which some took noticed of
"Hey your still reading that journal?"cardin asked
"Not journals diaries. From the look of it the head of the household diary. Seems him and several other families found it. He always seemed to come up with new ways to overcome odds"maria replied
"Let us guess grimm"adam asked as she nodded
"Seems so though says here about…nine months ago some men came here taking their people. One of them his youngest daughter…she was only nine years old. But they bashed him in the face and shot his son in the stomach. They ruptured one of his kidneys…he died a week later"she said as it got a little queit right now
"Okay thats not messed up but lets make some food. Then call it a night"lazuli said. As immediately cardin and zane got to work on making some stew with what they had. Luckily they were successful as they had something to warm them up for tonight. As all of them decided to take a good night rest
Everyone was sound asleep right now with summer keeping watch mainly by the door outside the room where the cellar was. As adam was passed out in the other room with lazuli cuddling up to him. Cardin was passed out on the floor with a pillow under his head. As weiss and ruby with zephyra all snuggled up together
Blake and yang did the same to keep each other warm. While onxyia was snuggling with may right now as zane kept watch with his katana out keeping an eye on them. As maria was still reading the diaries as the fire crakcled. With nate passed out shivering slightly as zane moved a blanket he had wrapped around him over him.
Though sleep was catching up with him as he passed on the spot. With his mother watching as she placed a blanket over him to keep him warm. Then eyed the booze bottles in the other room walking over to them.
But with rogue she was slowly falling asleep as she was sleeping on the floor right now. Though as she did ember remerged as she whispered to her
"Rogue…rogue dear you need to–"She was stopped
"Shut up..i'm trying to sleep right now"she said before the blonde fell fast asleep as the fire spirt looked worried. As the glove on rogue hand started to slowly grip onto her skin because she might end up getting its curse.
With that it seems they found dango who turns out died from the element or something else. While they found a way to get to argus, but seems that rogue might find something new to her body in the morning. Thanks for reading!
