Uncool
justices asked for a oneshot of Snow embarrassing Neal outside of Granny's when he's 14. Based on the experiences of my best friend.
"So, what film are you boys going to see?" Snow asked as she and Neal got into the car together.
"The new Ironman one." Neal answered simply, at the stage of wanting to spend as little time with his parents as possible.
"Oh I see, and who's all going?" Snow asked, keen to know who her son's friends were. She didn't miss the eye roll Neal gave, but decided to let it slip this once.
"Just Drake Bayley, Ben Pearson and me." Neal rolled through the little list quickly. "Please, when we get to Granny's don't say anything embarrassing. In fact, just don't say anything at all." Neal pleaded with her.
"I won't." Snow replied innocently, not taking kindly to playing Neal's chauffer when he was being so rude to her.
After that small exchange the rest of the car journey was fairly silent.
"Enjoy your movie. Don't spend all your pocket money on popcorn or those ridiculously overpriced sodas and sweets. There's a supermarket next door, get all your stuff from there."
"Fine." Neal answered shortly, aware that they were near the meeting spot and didn't want to look uncool in front of his friends. Neal didn't even say goodbye. As soon as his mom stopped the car he was out like a shot, moving over to his friends. But Snow was not letting him off the hook that easily. She rolled down the window of the car and yelled out
"Bye sweetie! Mommy loves you!" And blew him a kiss. Snow caught the startled and appalled look he gave her before she drove off. Maybe next time he would be less concerned about looking uncool and more about his manners.
