The problems of a half heart

LyssLovesShules33 asked for a oneshot of Emma beginning to give in to the darkness takes her father's half of the heart with the intention of crushing it (which would kill both parents). Somehow they manage to snap her out of it.

Both Charming and Snow winced in pain as Emma squeezed the half heart just a little tighter. Emma's other hand was being used to hold Charming up against the wall with her newly found dark magic. He struggled against the lack of breath in his lungs.

"Please." He wheezed out. "Don't do this Emma."

"Why shouldn't I?" Emma snarled. "Think of the pain you both caused my heart. You stuffed your newborn into a wardrobe and into a world you knew nothing about. You sicken me." Emma squeezed the heart again. Charming cried out in pain and Snow fell to her knees.

"You know we did it for you, Emma." Snow said, struggling to her feet. "Regina would have killed you, there was no two ways about it. She wanted you gone- you were the only threat to her curse. We couldn't allow that to happen."

"I was no child of true love. I was a curse breaker. The boy- he is your real child. Luckily for you even I don't kill babies."

"Emma think of him then, or think of Henry." Charming said quickly. "Think how they would feel if you kill us, because if you crush my half of the heart then your mom dies too." Charming pointed out. "If you kill us there is no going back. You can fight this, Emma. You don't have to be the Dark One. We are so close to finding Merlin and he will fix you, we will make sure of it. Please, Emma. Don't give into the darkness!" Something about that sentence struck Emma. She had flashbacks to her old self- the happy self who loved her parents. It felt like an explosion in her brain. The hand that had been pinning Charming to the wall flew to her head, leaving her dad to fall to the ground. Emma walked over and shoved the heart back in his chest, causing both her parents to gasp.

"Go." She growled. "Now, before I change my mind."

"Emma…"

"Go!" She ordered. Both Snow and Charming were reluctant to leave Emma. They both just wanted to hold her, to let her know it was going to be ok, but they knew that they couldn't. The quicker Merlin could fix this the better.
