Beware the green eyed monster
Sonny asked for a oneshot of Snow being huffy at Emma hanging out with Elsa more than her and is convinced it's because she's jealous of Neal. Charming suggests that Snow's maybe the one that's jealous.
"I mean really. We haven't seen her in almost a week. A whole week Charming! Every time I offer to do something with her, it doesn't matter what time of the day, she's always busy doing something with Elsa. Ugh! Elsa. I'm sick of hearing her name!" Snow continued to pace up and down the living room with a slightly restless Neal in her arms as she ranted. Charming watched her as she walked feeling slightly dizzy, like he was watching a Wimbledon tennis match. "I know she's finding it hard to adjust to having a little brother but there's no need to be so petty and avoid us almost completely. I understand that she's jealous and maybe trying to hurt us a little but this is going too far. Charming I do not understand why you are smiling about this!" Snow snapped. Charming kept smiling at his beloved wife.
"Snow, honey, do you think it's perhaps not Emma who's the jealous one?" He said gently. "We both love Emma dearly. And we're maybe both slightly possessive of her seeing as we didn't get to spend her childhood with her. Do you think maybe you're jealous that Emma has a proper friend in town now?"
"I was her friend before I was her mom." Snow grumbled, settling Neal into his Moses basket and slumping down on an armchair. Charming came over and sat on the arm, kissing the top of her head.
"Exactly. But now you're her mom, and she needs you too. But right now Emma needs to get some friends here, and she and Elsa can relate to each other. I know it's hard for you seeing her rely on someone else, but it's what's best for Emma. Can you cope because of that?"
"I guess." Snow sighed, cuddling into Charming. "I'm glad I have you to talk sense into me when I get like this." She said gratefully. Charming chuckled.
"You've returned the favour for me many times, my love."
