AN: Alright, Chapter 2 people. Reception has been positive so far across here and AO3, save some guest accounts who were bitching and whining here in which I subsequently deleted. I don't put up with that. Anyway, just gonna bring up and start toying with some concepts in this chapter and throughout the fic that will have ramifications down the line. Anyway, enjoy.
The sun was beginning to rise in the forests of New York, and deep within, far out of the eyes of mortals was Artemis and her hunters camp, totalling not even a dozen tents. One particular tent, next to Artemis' own, housed a particular daughter of Athena. Whilst all the other girls were waking up and beginning their routines and chores, she lay unmoving until someone got fed up with her staying inside.
"Annabeth, wake up." A soft voice whispered before gently nudging her under the blanket. Annabeth merely buried herself deeper into the thick cover. The voice sighed.
"Annabeth. Wake up." The voice repeated, becoming more forceful and raising in volume. Annabeth merely dug deeper childishly, throwing the blanket over her head. Her attempt at ignoring the world was foiled by her companion roughly pulling the blanket off her, leaving her in only her underwear, revealing her shapely body.
"Look, I know today is a hard day for you but you can't lay in bed all day." The voice lectured, making Annabeth raise her head half heartedly to glare at Thalia, who was looking at her with some level of disappointment.
"Yes I can. Just, leave me alone Thalia." Annabeth pouted sadly, shoving her face into her pillow and trying to go back to sleep. Thalia merely facepalmed, annoyed but not surprised by Annabeth's behavior.
"Okay, you asked for it." Thalia said darkly before exiting the tent. Annabeth brushed her off, uncaring of what her friend had in store for her. Not on this day. Annabeth's depression was stopped by something smacking her large, bubbly rear VERY hard, making her shoot out of bed in a near comical manner.
"Oww, why?" Annabeth whined, rubbing her backside in an attempt to soothe the plump, tender flesh. Now fully awake, Annabeth glared at Thalia, who stood their unphased.
"I told you, you're not staying in bed all day. Now c'mon, get dressed." Thalia ordered, invoking her rank as lieutenant as she had Annabeth's uniform in her arms. Begrudgingly taking it, the blonde began dressing herself, unbothered by Thalia standing there.
Standing at 5'8, Thalia was the lieutenant of Artemis as well as her half sister, although with how the Greeks worked, nobody was technically related to anyone. Crossing her arms under C-cup breasts, she cocked a wide, plush hip slightly, emphasizing the curves she possessed, a perfect companion to her plump rear. While Annabeth may have beat her in terms of sizes for that area, she was obviously second place as whatever pants she wore didn't leave much to the imagination. Large thighs held her up with ease, each one the perfect combination of muscle and fat and wide enough that they rubbed together slightly when walking, something that irked her to no end due to them ripping her pants.
"Annabeth, I may not understand exactly how you feel, but do you really think Percy would like to see you like this?" Thalia pleaded, trying to knock some sense into her friend. The mention of Percy apparently was the trick as Annabeth perked up at his name.
"No." She muttered dejectedly, realizing Thalia was right. She had to be strong for him, even if he wasn't there. Throwing on her silver parka over her modest, B-cup chest, she popped her back with a loud crack that made Thalia wince and stood up straight to her full height of 5'7.
"It's going to be okay Annabeth. C'mon, we're going into the city later today." Thalia informed her, blushing as she averted eyes from Annabeth, as said blonde was currently tugging her leggings over her lower half with minor difficulty.
Like nearly all daughters of Athena, Annabeth was blessed with a substantial lower half, with thick thighs, wide hips and a large, soft rear that dwarfed her chest a few times over. A 'built in seat for reading' as Percy called it and Annabeth was more than inclined to agree. She'd rather deal with a big butt over a massive chest bouncing in her face. With one last herculean tug, she brought her leggings over the round shelf. Taking a few minutes to pack up her things, Annabeth met Thalia at the entrance to her tent.
"Feeling better?" She asked tenderly, wrapping an arm around her friend and rubbing her arm. Annabeth leaned into her older friend and sighed.
"A little." She admitted before starting to take down her tent, with Thalia helping her. Within minutes it was done and the duo were making their way to the other hunters. Annabeth sighed as she felt the stares that were shot her way. The ones from the younger ones were those of indifference or confusion. Those she felt nothing from. It was those from the older hunters that hurt. She could feel the hatred and bitterness directed towards her for her beliefs and hope. Her faithfulness in Percy. It sickened her just as much as she sickened them.
In the center of the camp was Artemis herself, making sure everything was packed up for the trip to the city. Currently taking the form of an 18 or 19 year old, nobody paid the goddess any mind as they did their duties. Taking a deep breath, the goddess turned to see Thalia and Annabeth walking towards her.
"Milady." Annabeth and Thalia said unison.
"Annabeth. How are you feeling?" Artemis asked with a soft smile, aware of what this day was for her latest recruit. Seeing this was a private conversation, Thalia took her leave with a nod before going to one of the younger hunters, leaving Annabeth and the goddess alone.
"Been better Milady." Annabeth said in monotone before plopping her padded rear on a log, uncaring of Artemis' pitying look.
"Well, like Thalia said, we're heading into the city for the day to get some supplies and unwind." Artemis pressed, trying to get her mind off of things. Sitting next to the blonde, she took care not to accidentally sit on the younger girl's wide hips.
"Maybe you can talk to Sally again if she's free." Artemis offered, knowing that talking to Percy's mother usually cheered her up. Apparently not this time.
"I guess." Annabeth muttered, propping her chin on her hand as she stared into nothingness. Artemis sighed softly before wrapping an arm around her and drawing her in for a hug.
"Look Annabeth, we all know you miss Percy, and everyone here understands it at least. Thalia misses him, Hades I miss him a little, but you can't keep acting like this on this day. Zeus said he doesn't know when he'll be back, but that means he WILL be back some day. Okay?" Artemis confessed, revealing a secret she only told Thalia and Hestia. Annabeth's eyes shot open as she stared at the goddess in shock. Artemis of all beings missed Percy? As her mind digested the information, she realized she was right. She just had to wait, as he WOULD be back some day.
"Okay." Annabeth said with a strained smile, making Artemis smile as well before they got up. Making their way to the other girls, who were waiting patiently, Artemis ordered them to move out, which they did post haste. For an hour the girls ran through the forest, avoiding all mortal contact and whoever they did see, they were gone in an instant. For some of the girls, they grit their teeth as they ran past some males, some of them being simple hikers whilst others were hunters, who in their minds, dared to infringe on their mistresses' domain. Despite their desires, said goddess made her feelings clear on said topic many times. Soon enough, they entered the outskirts of New York City. The girls grouped up in their various parties, lists of supplies to purchase in hand, while some were comfortable and skilled enough to be on their own.
Artemis and Thalia were checking over Annabeth one last time, as said girl wanted to just wander around the city, with Artemis reluctantly agreeing.
"You think you'll be good enough to be by yourself?" Artemis asked again. Annabeth took a breath.
"I think so. If I run into trouble I'll call for you." Annabeth said with a small smile, standing a little taller.
"There we go. There's the girl Percy loves." Thalia praised, giving her friend a quick hug before pulling away. Reluctantly, goddess and lieutenant left the blonde to her devices. Annabeth looked about the street she was on, mortals minding their business and going about their lives. She was jealous of them on some level
"Where are you Percy?" Annabeth thought before moving in a random direction.
Sewers
"Ugh, damnit. Of course I woke up right before the best part." Percy groaned, annoyed at the fact his dream was stopped at the best part. Stretching, he hissed when he felt some bones pop back into place, no doubt misplaced from Mongul. Glancing at his arm, he raised an eyebrow when he saw that his fingers were all that were left to regenerate. Usually it took so much longer in these circumstances to get even halfway to this point. Likely it was because he was back in his original dimension and his connection to his demigod heritage was more potent. More testing would be required later.
"An hour, likely less and I'm back to 100%. After that, just gotta wait for Zero to do his thing." He muttered, leaving the hideaway and covering it back up. Activating his ring, Percy flew out through the sewers, knowing that climbing back out the way he came wasn't happening this time of day. Popping out near the river, he luckily avoided human contact, as not too many people were out in this area.
"Maybe I'll just go around the city today. Take it easy." He said to himself before integrating into the morning masses seamlessly. Despite the dimension hopping, things remained relatively the same, both with himself and New York City. Feeding the homeless, helping kids, saving some people from falling objects, the usual. Of course, he ran into the darker side of humanity. Gang wars, trafficking, a few monsters, all that, which he of course took care of. Making his way to the inner city, he couldn't help but marvel at it: so peaceful compared to Metropolis.
Stepping into a coffee shop as he yawned, nearly dropping his disguise, he was unprepared for a feminine figure crashing into him, splashing some VERY hot coffee into his face and eyes. Superhuman or not, boiling liquid in one's eyes still stung.
"Oh gods I'm so sorry about that. Are you okay?" Annabeth cried, worrying over the guy who looked a lot Percy, but she dismissed the possibility as she dragged him out of the way.
"God's? You pagan or something?" Percy asked as he wiped the coffee. He was likely dealing with a demigod, although of which pantheon was up for debate. He was a Greek demigod, he had a few encounters with the Norse in the other universe, hell, there are two entire planet's populated by gods. Despite not seeing the girl,he could tell she was a bit embarrassed.
"I'm Greek." She said. Mentally she was a bit off guard by his question. As far as she knew, the Greek gods were the only pantheon that were still around. Right? The guy she was helping snorted before gratefully taking some napkins she handed to him.
"Agnostic. Seen enough that I'm not banking everything on one religion or pantheon." He said with a huff, wiping the coffee out. Okay so he was either a demigod or a clear sighted mortal. Removing his hands from his face, Annabeth's breath hitched in her throat when she saw his face.
"Percy? Is that you?" she asked nervously, her hand shaking slightly as she reached for his face. To her horror, his face hardened as his hand immediately snapped to her neck and wrapped around it. Her eyes widened slightly at the very fact he was even doing this, after everything they've done.
"What was one of the first things you said to me?" Percy asked in a deathly calm voice that was so uncharacteristic of him. Looking in his eyes, Annabeth gulped when she saw they were practically in flames.
"You drool in your sleep, but I don't know oof-" She got out before he released her throat and surged forward in a tight hug, lifting her off the ground as she felt her bones pop. Percy buried his face in the crook of her neck.
"It's really you. Just, I had to be sure it was you. I've dealt with a lot of 'things' that used my memories against me." He explained, running his hand up and down her back as an apology. Annabeth hugged him back too, taking in his scent, expecting the normal sea breeze she was accustomed to, but to her surprise, it was diluted. She could smell the sea breeze, but also the scent of blood, ozone not unlike Thalia and gunpowder? She wrote it off.
"I missed you so much." She muttered, a few tears trailing down her face as her hopes and dreams came back to her. Percy broke away and looked down at her, his eyes watering as well.
"I missed you too." He whispered, cracking a small grin. Said grin immediately turned into a frown when he saw her silver outfit.
"Did you really?" He all but snarled, sending shivers down her spine at the sheer rage he was outputting. She gathered her nerves.
"I know what you're thinking Percy, but just let me explain." She got out, Hoping he'd at least hear her out. Crossing his arms over his chest, she took that at as a sign to explain.
"We were told that you were sent on a quest and that we didn't know when you'd be back. Lady Artemis is doing some tweaks regarding the oaths of her hunters and how the Hunt works in general and I volunteered to test it. She'll absolve me of my oath with no consequences when I tell her you're back. Okay?" Annabeth explained calmly, figuring telling him the truth as plainly as possible was the way to go. This apparently did the trick as he was calming down, exhaling a deep breath and was that steam coming from his mouth?
"Okay. How are Thalia and Artemis?" Percy muttered before changing the topic to something more positive. Annabeth mentally noted that he simply called her Artemis.
"Thalia is doing okay as well as Milady. They're trying to soften up the hunters in a sense." Annabeth said, walking by his side as they walked through the city. Percy raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
"Let me guess. Soften up means having them not kill on sight." Percy joked, but considering how he had a first hand experience with them, she had no doubt he was serious.
The fact she had to help heal a few lost boys who accidentally ran into the hunt didn't help. Annabeth ran a hand through her hair.
"Basically. Things have been different ever since the Titan War, that's all I'll say." Annabeth said, not sure how she was going to list out everything that's been happening. Traveling through the forests across the country left one out of the loop.
Stepping into a deli for breakfast, Annabeth began the next topic of conversation.
"So where did Zeus send you?" Annabeth asked bluntly, taking a bite of her bagel. Regret instantly set in when Percy's eyes dilated and the glass he had in hand instantly shattered in his grip.
"Oh Gods Percy! Are you okay?" Annabeth panicked, trying to clean up the glass whilst manipulating the Mist To make people think he merely knocked it over.
"I'm, fine. Just, let's not talk about him." Percy ground out, clearly struggling to reign in his emotions.
"Any reason." Annabeth fretted, giving him a hug in an attempt to help calm him down. What the Hades did Zeus that the mere mention of his name made Percy this mad?
"Blind fury at the mere thought of him and a few others, let's leave it at that." Percy said a bit more calmly, his tone of voice telling her to drop it.
"Okay. Okay." Annabeth said soothingly, leading Percy out of the deli. They walked in silence, patiently letting Percy calm down and gather himself, Annabeth more than willing to be patient.
"As for where I've been. I've been traveling far and wide. Went to places you could only dream of. Met beings you couldn't believe. Did things you'd call impossible." Percy listed out cryptically, peaking her interest as his eyes darted around.
"Any more than being a demigod?" She asked incredulously. It's only been a year since he left.
"Demigods and mythology are some of the more normal and mundane things I've experienced." He said in tone as he was discussing the weather. Annabeth turned to him, cocking a wide hip as she stood there in doubt.
"Oh really? Prove it." She taunted, placing her hands on her hips in a teasing manner. Percy played along, smiling that smile she loved so much.
"I need you to close your eyes and you're going to feel a warmth enveloping you. Don't open your eyes until I say, it's a surprise." Percy urged to which she did so without question. She let out a small gasp of surprise when he picked her up bridal style, careful not to touch her anywhere inappropriate. As promised, a warmth enveloped her, making her subconsciously snuggle into his chest as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Soon enough, she felt the sensation of leaving the ground. She kept her eyes closed for the few seconds, not willing to spoil the surprise. Soon enough, she was placed back on her feet. Perplexingly, instead of concrete, she was now standing on dirt.
"Alright, open your eyes." Percy said, and while she couldn't see, she could tell he was excited. Opening her gray eyes, her jaw dropped as she simply stared. Instead of the city or forest she was expecting, all she saw was red mountains, sand and a beige sky.
"What the Hades." She breathed, noticing that she herself was also engulfed in a neon red aura as well as there being no wind. She turned on Percy like an animal.
"Where are we?" She demanded, marching up to Percy, who was sitting on a boulder nonchalantly. He merely grinned cheekily.
"Congratulations Wise Girl. You're the first human from Earth to walk on the planet Mars." Percy boasted, motioning around them. Looking up, what stars she saw weren't in any order she recognized and in the distance she swore she saw tracks.
"What the fuck." She cursed, dropping to her knees in shock, simply overwhelmed. This was something not even the gods could do as far as she knew.
"How?" she squeaked, looking up at Percy in fear. This just wasn't possible.
"I flew us here." Percy said nonchalantly, kneeling next to her. Annabeth looked at him incredulously.
"You flew us to Mars in less than 30 seconds, through the vacuum of space?" She got out.
"Yup." He said in a bored tone. Annabeth grabbed him by his shirt and began shaking him lightly.
"How? Just how?" She demanded desperately. She NEEDED to know how the Hades he was doing this! Percy gently grabbed her arms and took them off his shirt.
"Promise you won't freak out." He asked softly, holding her hands on her lap. She nodded.
Percy's appearance shimmered and drastically changed in an instant. The tan similar to hers became paler, straight white teeth became fangs, black and red eyes, red glowing veins were visible and she could feel claws carefully hold her hands. Not to mention the red armor that would look perfect for a child of Ares or Hades. Her breath hitched in her throat as tears pooled in her eyes.
"What happened to you Seaweed Brain?" she asked tearfully, gently cupping his face with her hands and brought her forehead to his. Percy closed his eyes and her touch before reluctantly pulling away, showing off a glowing red ring on his finger.
"This is a Red Lantern ring. It saved my life and is the only thing keeping me alive and is one of the factors in my new appearance." He said as she looked at the jewelry, flinching away when he brought it up keeping him alive.
"What does it do? How does it work? What do you do?" she asked in rapid fire, her drive as an Athena child taking over. Percy chuckled.
"Hehehe, you never changed." He said with nostalgia. Despite his fangs, Annabeth couldn't be afraid of them for some reason. Maybe because it was her Percy who had them.
"It does whatever I want it to do. Space flight. I can create constructs out of hard light and more. It's powered by my anger and rage. The more I have, the more it can do? The only limit is my imagination." He said in a lecturing tone, clearly giving her the bare minimum of understanding, making her giggle as it was just like her or her siblings tone when they went into one of their tirades.
"As for what I do, I help defend the Earth." He said with a proud smile, puffing out his chest in pride. He must've really taken pride in his duty if he was boasting about it, even if a little. Not even after the Titan War was he like this.
"How many of these things are there?" she asked, inspecting the intricately designed ring that pulsed almost like a heartbeat. Despite the otherworldly beauty it possessed, it also had a sinister air to it, on par with Ares on their first quest together. Considering this was the ring in a 'neutral' state, she loathed to experience it when activated.
"There's around a few thousands of these in the old universe last I checked." He said, cautious of Annabeth's inspection. Annabeth stopped when he said that.
"Aliens?" she asked in disbelief. The Greek gods and monsters and magic she could deal with. That was normal, everyday life right there, but aliens?
"Correct." He confirmed. This was a dream come true for her and every other Athena child. A whole new world, no, universe, of knowledge to learn about.
"Gods be damned aliens. Wait you said old universe. Did you just come from another universe?" she double checked. With another nod, the fabric of Annabeth's sense of reality unraveled more and more.
What else out there was she wrong about or waiting to be discovered beyond the veil of the gods? Were the gods even gods? Were the stories of how things came to be even true? What was anything? Annabeth took a breath and squashed down her existential crisis.
"Anyway, back to what you do?" She asked with a small smile. Percy grinned.
"Anyway, I just help defend that Earth whenever it's in danger. Whether it's an alien invasion, a metahuman going crazy. Oh uh, metahumans are kinda like demigods. Special powers just without the divinity." Percy said, giving her the best equivalent she'd understand. That caught her attention.
"That sounds really cool." She said honestly. Mortals getting powers, some like demigods and possibly some completely unseen. She was practically salivating at the fact.
"Yeah, it is. A few of my friends are metahumans. You'd like them." He said with a smile, stating the unspoken offer. For a few hours, the two of the did nothing but talk about what they've been up to.
Percy regaled her of his numerous adventures. Traveling to alien worlds, a condensed history of a few key individuals and the lantern corps.
She nearly had a heart attack when she was told what other Red Lanterns did. Stories of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman captured her utmost attention, whilst she was beyond terrified at the likes Brainiac, Solomon Grundy and the Circe of that world.
Annabeth got him caught up with what he missed. Camp Half Blood was given an artifact after the war so that some children could find out who their godly parent was. A way to help solve the problem the issue that caused the war in the first place. Alongside that, they constructed a few new cabins, for both unclaimed and a few chunks of minor gods. They only had so much space and a cabin for every minor god wasn't feasible.
She also told him how a few of the gods were doing things a little differently like Artemis, although said goddess was the only one who was actually making a noticeable change. Beyond that, things with her dad were getting better, Sally was managing but to her and Percy's grief, Paul died saving a few demigods, although both of them were thankful that he ended up in Elysium. Whether Hades pulled some strings or Posiedon did, they didn't care.
Soon enough, the duo just laid there in silence, Annabeth cuddling against Percy as they watched the stars above.
"So what now?" She asked, breaking the silence. Percy sighed as he gently got up.
"I honestly have no idea. As of now, it's getting you back to Artemis, since time is different up here." He said, gently pulling Annabeth to her feet.
"Do you want me to get permission for you to visit? See Thalia again?" She asked, dusting herself off
"If Artemis is okay with it." Percy said, quickly picking her up bridal style, making her giggle when she noticed how careful he was to avoid touching certain areas. Such a gentleman. Like a bullet, the duo shot off into space, a red bubble surrounding them. Annabeth watched in awe as the universe sped past them. Sure enough, Earth quickly came into view, turning from a speck all the way into taking up her entire vision. Soon enough, they touched back down in the forest, some distance from Artemis' camp.
"I'm sure she'll be fine with it. She told me herself she likes you." Annabeth said earnestly as she got onto the ground.
"Whoopie." Percy said in a joking tone. His pocket blared to life. Pulling out an advanced looking device, he looked at its message with glee. Pulling out another copy of the device, he gave it to the blonde.
"Here, use this to message me. Something popped up in Africa I have to check." Percy explained, gently ruffling Annabeths hair affectionately.
"Love you Annabeth." Percy said sincerely, wrapping her in a tight hug that she returned. The two of them stood there for a few seconds, taking in each other's presence before Annabeth reluctantly broke away.
"Love you too Percy." Annabeth said joyfully, looking up at him with a smile. In a move that surprised him, she pulled his head down and captured his lips with hers, pouring all the love she had for him into. Eyes wide in shock, Percy simply stared into space at the action. Pulling away, Annabeth jogged off back to the Hunters camp, giving Percy a clear view of her bountiful rear, bouncing and jiggling as she ran off.
Yeah, that was definitely on purpose. Pushing down his erotic thoughts, Percy shot off into the setting sun, cloaking himself so Apollo wouldn't see or sense him.
Annabeth herself jogged back to camp with a proverbial people in her step. Seeing the camp, she ignored the stares of those who disliked her and made her way to Artemis, Thalia and Phoebe, who were setting up the campfire. Phoebe saw the smile on the blonde's face and couldn't help but let a scowl cross her face. Getting hung up on a stupid boy. Although with the smile on her face as she came over, maybe she finally came to her senses.
Oh look who's back? Had a fun day in the city?" Thalia asked in a teasing tone with a small grin as she finished setting up the fire.
"You can say that, hehe." Annabeth confirmed with a giddy grin, giggling as her friend got the fire going. Thalia raised an eyebrow.
"Gods Annabeth, you're acting like you spent the day with Percy." She joked as Phoebe took a bite of a protein bar she got in the city.
"I did." Annabeth said. Immediately Phoebe began choking on her food in shock, prompting Artemis to perform the heimlich. After a few seconds the half chewed bar landed in the fire as Phoebe hacked.
"What? He's back?" Phoebe spat out as Artemis rubbed her back. Of course he had to come back after a year.
"Yeah. Percy's back." Annabeth said, a few tears of happiness pooling in her eyes. Seeing this, Artemis and Thalia knew she was serious and crowded her a little.
"So where is he/What did you two do?" Thalia and Artemis asked at the same time.
"Well, Percy gave me this so he can message me and vice versa. He wanted permission to come visit." Annabeth said, showing off the advanced looking communication device. Something that looked like it came from Hephaestus himself.
"Smart. Tell him permission granted." Artemis permitted with a barely visible smirk. Another point in his favor from her. Although her interest was peaked at the device in Annabeth's hand.
"Thank you Milady. As for what we did, I mainly asked him a lot of questions about where he's been." Annabeth said with a small smile, making Thalia snort.
"Typical child of Athena." She teased, making Artemis roll her eyes.
"So where were you all day?" the goddess asked, curious as to where the blonde went.
"He took me to Mars." Annabeth said in a matter of fact tone, as if she was talking about the weather and doing something not even a god could do. Artemis, Thalia and Phoebe just stood there and stared at her.
"Did I hear that right? Percy took you to Mars and back in less than a day?" Artemis eventually got out, stunned. In all her years, she never heard anything like that. Annabeth blushed.
"Well, 30 seconds each way." She admitted. This was the breaking point for Phoebe. There was just no way a stupid male could do something not even a goddess could do.
"Bull- She started, wanting to stop this delusion before it went too far. Unfortunately for her, Annabeth was ready.
"I swear on the River Styx it's true." She said flatly, cutting her off as she glared at the older huntress. For a year she had to put up with her attitude regarding Percy and now was the perfect opportunity to shut her up. Sure enough, thunder boomed and Annabeth was unscathed, showing that she was correct.
"Holy shit." Artemis said, Thalia dumbly nodding along. Phoebe merely put her head down. Artemis quickly shook off her amazement.
"So where is he now?" She asked, crossing her arms under her bust.
"He said something popped up in Africa he had to check. Oh, I gotta tell him." She said, activating the device. A rainbow of neon light pulsed through it before a gods be damned hologram shot out, revealing Percy himself in his human disguise.
"Annabeth?" He confirmed, sending a warm smile to her, one she returned.
"Yeah, it's me Percy. Lady Artemis granted permission. She and Thalia are right here." Annabeth greeted, quickly shaking off the shock of Percy having technology she only saw in mortal movies. She gave him a smile before angling the device so he could.
"Thalia, Artemis, how are you?" Percy asked casually, giving a nod to the two of them that they returned. They also took note of the fact that there was gunfire in the background.
"We're good. Really great actually. Annabeth said that you're in Africa?" Thalia said, being the one to talk with her cousin first. While they didn't show it, the trio were aware that a small crowd of hunters was showing up. A few of them were intrigued at the fact they were talking so casually with a male, while others were taking interest in the device.
Percy was just about to respond when the sound of a massive explosion rang out from his end, and to their worry, a burst of fire washed over him. Before the girls could worry over him, Percy waved off the flames, not at all bothered and revealing he was completely unscathed.
"Yeah, a friend of mine is here. Listen, you guys haven't eaten dinner yet? Friend of mine just killed something big and I figured, hey, dinner. Oh, I also have a surprise for you Artemis." Percy offered, peaking all the girls' interest, especially Artemis.
"No, that'll be acceptable, it's appreciated. You may come whenever you're ready." She said, appearing calm and collected on the outside. Internally she was far more excited, centuries of experience allowing her to keep the mask. For five years Percy kept doing the impossible, earning the respect and ire of many gods, herself included. He's gone for one year and that list just keeps growing. Forgive her for wanting to catch up a male she dare call a friend.
"Thank you. Just, don't shoot." Percy said sincerely, flashing Annabeth a smile before cutting the connection. Artemis and Thalia looked at each in confusion.
"Don't shoot?" Thalia confirmed. While she'd admit she knew what exactly Percy was talking about, she knew her cousin had nothing to worry about with his skills and reputation. She, Annabeth and even Artemis did their best to spread the good word.
Thalia's confusion was halted as well as given a reason by an ominous glow bathing the camp in a bright red. Every hunter grabbed their bows and aimed at what was apparently a portal of blood, some of them shaking in fear at its mere presence. Soon enough something was coming through.
"Oh gods what is that?" Thalia asked in disgust when she saw what was clearly a massive crocodile slowly bouncing its way through. The more it came through, the more the hunters saw the punishment it went through, as it was littered with dozens of bullet holes, large chunks of flesh were blown off and even an arm was gone. Once it was about halfway through, they saw someone who had the thing on its shoulder effortlessly.
"It's Percy." Annabeth said, in awe at the massive beast he was bringing in. That and how strong he was.
"Okay, what the fuck?" Phoebe said, getting more and more fed up with Percy and the bullshit that was involved with him. Once it was confirmed that it was Percy, most of the girls lowered their bows, although a few stubborn ones kept them drawn.
Percy, garbed in civilian clothing, eventually made it all the way through, keeping his portal open, and the girls got a good look at the crocodile. It was about 30 feet long, hundreds of old scars littering its few ton body. With an effortless motion, Percy dropped the massive reptile on the ground unceremoniously, making the ground shake a little.
"Ladies, may I introduce you to the crocodile Gustave of Africa , the alleged killer of over 300 people. AKA your dinner." Percy announced, unbothered by the stares he was receiving as he gave a kick to the massive corpse, making it jump a little. Artemis was surprised. She had heard of this beast and even attempted to hunt a few times and to her shame, she failed every time.
"You killed that?" One of her younger hunters asked, fully expecting Percy to take credit for such an impressive feat, but to her surprise and Annabeth, Thalia and Artemis' expectation, he waved her off.
"Tch, I wish. Anyway, here's your gift Artemis. COME THROUGH!" Percy called back towards the portal as he made his way over to Annabeth. Soon enough, a woman was making her way through, as evident by the abundant curves she possessed, with what must've DD-cup breasts, shoulder wide hips and certainly a large round rear to match, but beyond that, they had no idea what she looked like as she was covered in armor as well as wearing a full face mask.
"This is my gift?" Artemis stated in disbelief, grimacing as she watched the figure wipe the copious amounts of blood off her suit. From what she could see, she was experienced, well prepared and equipped, as evident by the armor in key places as well as some mortal guns on her back along with all the blood on her.
"Who are you?" Artemis spoke loudly, catching the woman's attention as she wiped the blood off her mask. Looking at the goddess, the mysterious woman stopped what she was doing instantly and went slack. Shakily, she began making her way to the goddess. Unnerved, Artemis drew her bow, ready to fire at the newcomer if needed. Annabeth and Thalia were about to intervene when Percy held them back. Despite their worries, they reluctantly stayed back, but were ready to act when ready.
"Are they crying?" Thalia thought as she saw the armored woman panting and shuddering occasionally, barely visible but the telltale signs she was sobbing. After a few agonizing seconds, the woman was clearly struggling to reign her emotions in if her chest movements were any indication. The goddess and woman simply stood there a few feet from each other, a tense silence permeating the air before the mystery woman broke it.
"Milady? Is that really you?" she asked timidly, her voice muffled yet clear due to her mask. Tentatively reaching a hand out towards the goddess, she was saddened when said immortal smacked her hand away harshly.
"Who are you?" Artemis demanded, having enough of this game and leaking some of her godly aura. Shakily and unbothered by the aura the woman undid her mask and began taking it off carefully. Every single huntress in the camp gasped in shock as they saw who the woman was. Artemis dropped her bow, hands shaking as the long lost woman dropped her mask.
"Zoe?" Artemis asked nervously, tears in silver eyes as she looked an exact copy of her former lieutenant. Zoe, tears streaming down from black eyes and over her face, exactly like the Persian princess look she had years ago, simply nodded in confirmation
"Oh gods Zoe!" Artemis cried, darting forward and catching her old friend in a tight hug, unaware of the fact she was putting her godly strength into it until last second. To her surprise, Zoe was apparently unbothered.
"Artemis!" she sobbed, returned the hug with just as much strength, making the goddess groan internally as she felt her spine pop a little. Lifting the goddess up, the former huntress twirled Her old friend around effortlessly. Every single huntress swarmed the duo like a mob, sobbing and attempting to even touch their reborn companion. The whole process too nearly thirty minutes, making sure every huntress had a chance with Zoe. Eventually, everyone had a turn.
"I missed you so much. Just, how?" Artemis got out, still holding onto her best friend tightly, afraid that if she let go she'd disappear.
"I missed you too. Can I tell you during dinner? I'm starving." Zoe said tearfully, with everyone taking note that she spoke modern English perfectly. Artemis simply nodded and right before they could turn to Gustave, they heard said beast growling and slowly getting up.
"Oh for fucks sake." Zoe growled out, looking the maneater in the eye, the normally emotionless reptile managing to glare at her in hatred. Gently putting Artemis and huntresses behind her, Zoe made her way to the half dead giant, subtly arming one of her arm cannons. By the time Gustave was right side up, it was just him and Zoe. The two of them stared at each other, neither of them making a move as everyone watched with bated breath. By an unseen signal, the crocodile charged forward, bloody maw ready to bite her in half. Before Artemis could help her unmoving friend, Zoe raised her arm, one of the gauntlets popping up and to the goddesses amazement, dozens of mortal bullets punched through the reptile's mouth, stopping in its tracks. Flesh and bone was destroyed, bullets digging deeper and deeper until eventually it dropped dead, the primitive brain now turned to slurry.
"Fucking bastard. Hope you stay dead." Zoe growled, popping a few more bullets into the corpse, uncaring of everyone staring at her in shock.
"Nice shot." Percy said in a sarcastic tone as he walked beside his friend. Zoe merely smacked his arm in a joking manner.
"I'm aware." She boasted, watching Percy make a sword and like a hot knife through butter, lopped off Gustaves head, both ends cauterized and sizzling. As Percy went about preparing the monster crocodile for dinner, Zoe finally got annoyed with all the staring and turned to her old friends and family.
"What?" she asked, throwing her hands up in confusion and annoyance, the sounds of Percy butchering the animal the only thing accompanying them. It was going to be a long night.
Meanwhile, on Olympus, in a large bed, many times too big for one person, laid an otherworldly beautiful and erotically voluptuous woman, with long and wavy flowing blonde hair and large, sky-blue eyes. Underneath the thin covers she was completely nude, enormous, gravity defying breasts bigger than her own head, quite possibly nearing the middle of the alphabet in size, pressed up against her blanket, leaving little to the imagination.
Said paper thin cloth hugged her body like a second skin, revealing her hands were between her legs working their magic, long legs and thick thighs supporting wide, soft hips that complimented her vast chest were moving around every which way, the consequence of her pleasuring herself to no end.
This was Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love. As the goddess lay there pleasuring herself, as she was doing nonstop all day, her mind began wandering.
"Hades what is happening to me. I've just had this sensation all day." she thought, her fingers between her legs and expertly working at her womanhood. This wasn't enough apparently as with a snap of her fingers, a dildo was summoned and shot into her, making her go cross eyed.
"It's like there's something that NEEDS so much love out there." She thought, both hands clasping onto her bountiful chest and kneading them, fingers vanishing in the plush orbs.
"Not that I'm complaining right now." She thought perversely, summoning another dildo and magically commanding it to go behind her. Said sex toy practically shot into her large rear like a bullet, doing as its mistress commanded, thrusting in and out with almost violent intent, asscheeks the size of, if not slightly bigger than her breasts making it all the more difficult to do its job. Not that she minded.
AN: Alright, there we go. I have no shame in making the girls more curvy, sue me. Especially with Aphrodite. I mean, she's the goddess of beauty, I feel it makes sense to give her insane curves and proportions. Of course, she's going to be a driving force later on as well. Expect other girls to have curvaceous figures. Especially Artemis.
Got a bit of insight into Artemis and co. After hearing and seeing everything Percy went through for those 5 years, her having a level of respect and considering him a friend isn't farfetched, especially when she sees how much he means to Annabeth.
Wanna make it clear now, I hate the trope of making Annabeth cheat on Percy. Rarely do I see fics have it so it just doesn't work out and they remain friends. Like they've been through so much. Just have them break up and write her out naturally.
Yeah, Zoe has been reincarnated and considering how she grew up (it's the multiverse, where she and the others grew up will be a blend of sources which will explain certain aspects and details next chapter), she's gonna be a very different person and it's gonna really shake Artemis and co up with how the former lieutenant is now. Especially with some discoveries she and her friends figured out that's gonna change the game for everyone.
Next chapter I'm planning on it being somewhat of an exposition dump type of chapter, as well as the first major fight. What the hell happened to Percy? How did he get back and what is he gonna do now? Etc
Percy x Annabeth x Artemis x Thalia x Zoe x Aphrodite. Still unsure of Hestia.
Nico x ? x Fem Will (nothing against the LGBTQ, just not comfortable writing guy x guy)(Also, disclaimer, this one will be pretty fucked up)
OC x Supergirl x ?
Anyway, see you next time, Have some brief Previews of what's gonna happen in chapter 3.

"Why was I a male?" Artemis ground out, nearly puking at the very thought that she was male, even for five seconds. Yeah, she was definitely going to stop with the gender bending. Whilst some of the hunters were more subdued in their reaction, others weren't.
"Did you just make me black?" Annabeth cried, grabbing the diminutive imp by his suit and shaking him violently. The imp was unbothered and waved her off despite his head flopping around.
"Oh quit your complaining. According to people on the internet you're white so your skin color and whatever you experienced in life doesn't matter." He explained in a matter of fact tone, confusing everything in the vicinity but at the same, pissing them off even more.
"Okay first of all, what? Second of all, that's so racist." Thalia said, stating the obvious and to her dismay, the imp shrugged his shoulders.
"You'd think that but no. Meanwhile if it was reversed people would be crying for blood. Bunch of hypocrites." He complained, disgusted by the humans' hypocrisy. An awkward silence filled the area as the hunt stared down the imp, who Annabeth was still shaking.
"If it makes you feel any better I made King Thunder Thighs black." the imp said, trying to make Thalia feel better. In fact this did the opposite and made her shiver.
"Knowing what he's done and known for, I feel that's worse given the stereotypes." Artemis sighed, seeing the logic in the beings words and how screwed up this whole thing was. He merely gave her a supportive pat on the shoulder.
"Very but others don't think like that. Dumbasses." He cursed.

The large pale biker squeezed his way into the bar, looking over the establishment for his target. He whooped the ass of his counterpart enough times to know exactly where to find him by presence alone. Sure enough, his target was at the bar, drinking and having the time of his life. The common urge swelled up and he grinned.
"You Ares?" He asked, lumbered over behind the war god. The deity threw back the rest of his beer.
"Yeah, what of it punk?" He asked, turning around to look at the man who wanted his attention. The instant he did so a large hand grabbed the top of his head and slammed it straight through the bar, destroying It completely. Not letting go, the larger man lifted the god back up and threw him through the window HARD. Crashing into his motorcycle, Ares and his ride skid across the road and into a parked car with enough force it exploded, a large fireball filling most of the street. As flames spread across the asphalt, people began running away, eager to get away from the inhuman psychopath and spreading fire. Stepping out of the broken window, the biker was unbothered by the flames licking his skin. Not wasting the opportunity, he grabbed one of his cigars and lit it with the surrounding inferno.
"Fucking wuss." He muttered, grabbing his shotgun off his back and began loading it, taking his sweet time as he walked towards his target. He owed the kid a favor and he was going to make it count.
