He heard a scream
A guest asked for a oneshot of : Hook catching Snow and Charming making tacos in the Enchanted Forest. Set during the missing year.
He started sprinting the minute he heard her scream. You could never be too careful with these blasted monkeys flying around. What Hook didn't understand was where her Charming was. He had looked around quickly to tell him he'd heard Snow screaming but couldn't see him anywhere amongst the group. He didn't understand why Snow had got herself separated. Maybe she needed time to grieve for Emma and Henry being apart from them once more but this was not the time or place to go wandering off into the forest. He quickly explained to Regina and Robin what he was doing before dashing off, ignoring whatever it was Regina yelled behind him. He couldn't allow Emma's mother to get hurt. He had to believe that one day she and the lad would be reunited with them and he would now allow them to be one family member short. He had very acute hearing, so knew exactly where the scream had come from. He was slightly alarmed that he'd heard no more noise. Had the foul beast flown off with her already?
Hook stumbled into the clearing he was sure the sound had come from, panting from the effort it had taken to run all the way here. He was about to call out for Snow when he saw her, and the sight even made him blush. She was lying at the base of a tree, a knuckle in her mouth (clearly to stop herself from making any more noise). Charming's whereabouts were no longer a mystery. He was lying right on top of her. Well, not lying exactly… Hook now understand what Regina had been yelling after him- she'd been trying to warn him of this. The lovers were so in their own little world together that they hadn't even noticed Hook. He desperately wanted to tell them off for being so thoughtless, but he thought better of it. He didn't want to make this situation any more awkward than it already was. Instead, he slipped back into the trees and downed half of his rum, trying to forget the image.
