Shocked

Mama Wolf Pack asked for a oneshot of the Charming family being returned to the Enchanted Forest. Snowing are busy keeping Henry and Neal safe and Emma shocks everyone with her prowess by dual-wielding swords and beating the bad guys.

Still nobody knew where the portal had come from or who opened it, but only one thing was clear: someone wanted them out of Storybrooke, and that meant trouble. They had to find a way back home again, but in the meantime they had to survive. After the second curse there were even fewer people left behind in the Enchanted Forest, which meant less help for the Charming family. Snow and Charming were the only ones with a real depth of knowledge of the creatures here and the ways to defeat them. Since there were less humans there were infestations of such creatures sprouting up in every nook and cranny they turned to so their energy was being spent protecting their family rather than trying to find a way back to Storybrooke.

One species that was giving them a lot of hassle were thunderbirds. Not the whimsical puppets- the dangerous birds with supernatural powers allowing them to control electricity. The vicious birds were doing their best to fry the family with the shocks from their wings. Snow and Charming were constantly trying to take them down. There was an attack from a flock nearly every day, and that day was no exception. They had gotten Henry and Neal into the makeshift tent (Emma was off fetching water) and were doing their best to do battle with the creatures. There were a lot of them this time round, and it was looking to be a struggle for the pair. That was until Emma suddenly burst into the clearing, brandishing two lightweight swords.

"Hey, Zapdos!" She called, attracting the flock's attention. "You want some? Come get some!"

"Emma are you crazy?!" Charming yelled, trying to divert the birds and keep them with him and Snow. "You're new here! You can't take on a whole flock of… well holy moly." Snow and Charming stood, mouths agape, as Emma singlehandedly took on the birds with an air of elegance and grace that cannot be taught. The birds that Emma didn't take down flew off in a hurry, squawking away. Emma grinned at her still surprised looking parents.

"I would say dinner is served, but I think these might be a little…shocking on the taste buds." She joked. "Don't look so surprised, I've been in the Enchanted Forest a few times now. I know what to expect. I found these stashed away on my water search and thought they'd come in handy. Looks like I was right. The boys ok?" Snow and Charming nodded, still too surprised to speak. Where had that come from?!
