It was the silent, stony stare from them both that sent chills straight through both Snow and Charming's hearts. It was like their souls had been drained from them, like they were but faint imitations of actual people. They could be looking right at anyone and still it would seem as though they were looking right through them. Snow and Charming hadn't allowed Henry or Neal to visit them yet, not wanting the change to disturb them. They both still clung to the very slight hope of their daughter and Killian improving and being back to their old selves, then the boys could see them. They knew they doctors said all indications right now showed that any progress would be both slow and limited (if there was any at all) but Snow and Charming couldn't help but hold out for more. This was their daughter, Henry's mother, Neal's big sister, she would get better…wouldn't she? And Hook, surely he'd been through worse in all his world hopping? Unfortunately for the parents studies on the long term effects of magical torture were limited. All they could do was sit with the couple, show them pictures and hope a spark was created somewhere within them.
"Please come back to us Emma." Snow whispered, trying furiously not to cry. "We need you." Emma just stared dead ahead, as if her mind was somewhere else. Charming kissed the side of Emma's head, hoping for some sort of reaction, but nothing. Emma reacted to nothing nowadays, neither she or Killian did. And it was breaking Snow and Charming's hearts.
