Eardrops
hailsara1973 asked for a oneshot of Neal having a double ear infection and Emma is the only one he'll allow to put the eardrops in.
"Come on little man." Snow cooed brightly as Charming waved his favourite stuffed toy in front of him. She hoped if he was kept distracted he wouldn't notice the eardrops he so bitterly detested. "Just you watch daddy and Dong…" (Neal hadn't quite got the hang of the word dog for his stuffed animal). But as soon as Snow went to drop in the antibiotics, Neal dodged his head and started to wail. Both parents sighed, knowing what they had to do.
"Emma!" They both called. Emma was upstairs in her room. As soon as she heard her parents call she checked her watch and knew exactly why they wanted her. It had been exactly four hours since Neal's last dosage. She rushed down the stairs following the sound of her little brother's screaming. For whatever reason, Emma was the only one Neal would tolerate putting the drops in.
"Well hey there Mister Man." Emma cooed, taking the pipette from her mom. Neal stopped crying immediately. "Let's just get this over and done with and then you can go back to having fun. That sound good?"
"Kay." The little boy replied bravely. Neal quickly squirted the liquid in both ears before all three adults gave him large amounts of praise. Snow and Charming were astounded at how easily he took the drops for Emma. Was their daughter some kind of baby whisperer?
