Godmothers Day

Ash Ketchum asked for a oneshot of there being no curse and Emma, Neal, Rosie, Christopher and Michael (hope you don't mind me adding the younger two- I feel they don't get enough love haha) go into the marketplace to find something for Red because their mom told then there's no such thing as Godmother Day. So they invent one and surprise both their parents and Red by throwing a huge party just for her. Red begins to cry saying it's the nicest thing anyone's every done for her.

"Come on, we don't have long before one of the nannies spots we're missing." Emma said, holding the hands of her two youngest brothers as the oldest of the three walked alongside her holding their little sister's hand. "We need to find a nice present from all of use to Auntie Red. Any ideas?"

"How about a book?" Rosie piped up. Emma smiled at her baby sister, it was just like the quiet little mouse that was Rosie to suggest a book. The six year old was by far the quietest of the bunch.

"I'm not sure Auntie Red's as good a reader as you, Rosie." Neal said gently, sparing the sensitive girl's feelings.

"Sweeties!" Three year old Michael squealed, much to five year old Christopher's delight.

"Auntie Red's a werewolf, remember? Unlike you two little monsters she doesn't want fillings in her teeth. How about a nice locket?" Emma suggested. The others were all happy enough to go along with that. After all, she was the oldest. "Ok, so we need to visit Pablo at his bazaar stand for the locket and then we need to visit Mr Muccio at his stand to get the candles for the cake that the kitchen staff are making.

Emma and Neal steered their younger siblings through the busy marketplace until they found the stall of their favourite trader.

"Pablo!" Michael yelled excitedly, hugging the knees of the cheery man.

"Well hello there! If it isn't my favourite little monkeys! What can I do for you today?" Emma pulled out the tiny drawstring bag that contained the pocket money they'd all clubbed together to put towards Red's present.

"We have seven gold pieces, nine silver pieces and three bronze pieces." Emma said, holding out the bag. "We're looking for a locket for a locket for our Auntie Red. Can you help us?" The old man smiled, twirling one side of his bushy moustache as he thought.

"I have just the thing!" He announced. He turned round and grabbed a box stuffed with jewellery. He rummaged around in it before pulling out a golden chain with a little star shaped locket. "I can give you this for say…four gold coins and two silver ones." Emma grinned taking out the money. She knew Pablo would never lie to them about a price.

"Deal." She said, as they exchanged the money for the goods. All five children hugged Pablo goodbye, promising to be back soon. Emma carefully placed the locket in the back alongside the rest of the money. They then quickly got the candles before heading home.

They were lucky enough to avoid being caught, otherwise their whole surprise would have been blown. They spoke to the staff in the kitchen about when the cake was to be brought out and where before giving them the candles. Emma then wrapped the locket herself before making sure all of her little siblings knew to stay quiet. Nobody could know until after dinner when the cake was brought to Auntie Red.

Snow, Charming and Red all suspected something was up during dinner. The children all seemed fidgety and overexcited, but none could put their finger on it. Well, until the cake was brought out and placed in front of Red.

"Happy Godmothers Day!" The children all cried at once. Emma gave the locket to Christopher who handed it to Red.

"Here's a present from us Auntie Red." Christopher told her. Red's eyes started to water as she accepted the gift. "Mommy told us there wasn't a Godmother's Day, so we decided to make one."

"Aw you guys." Red said, filled with emotion as she picked Christopher up, set him on her lap and kissed his cheek. "This is so sweet. It's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me." The rest of the children gathered round hugging their favourite auntie. She definitely deserved her own day.
