A momentous moment
Jazzy asked for a oneshot of Snow and Emma discussing losing their virginities.
"Mom it's her first date, would you chill?" Emma said, but this did not stop her mom pacing up and down. Wasn't it meant to be her dad overreacting?
"But what if she does something she'll regret? What if he puts pressure on her?" Snow said worryingly. Emma smiled, pulling her mom over to sit on the couch as they pacing was making her dizzy.
"Rosie can look after herself, you've taught her well. They're fourteen and Lawton's big brother is going to be with them. I trust Berto to make sure they're both responsible. Besides, Rosie's not ready for anything big, and she's smart enough to tell Lawton that. She's knows it's something to be done when you're in love. As cute as she and Lawton are together, they're not in that place.
"Yeah…" Snow replied, not being able to help the curiosity that overcame her. "So when did you lose your virginity?" She asked. It should have been something that she knew about Emma not long after it happened. It was just a moment that mother and daughter should be able to share. Emma should really have suspected this question would pop up.
"You already know." She responded. "Neal. He was my first."
"Of course." Snow responded, she should have known. Emma was young enough already.
"I loved him so much." Emma said sadly. "I'm just sad it all went so pear shaped."
"I'm sorry too." Snow replied, reaching out and squeezing Emma's hand. "But I'm glad it was with someone you loved so much. That's the right way to do things. Your father and I… I'll never forget that night."
"Mom." Emma groaned. "Some things I don't need to know." Snow smiled at her teenage like squeamishness over the topic of sex.
"Well I would never want to. Sure, we both know it's a bit painful and awkward the first time, but it's also magical. It was also the night that you, my darling daughter, were conceived…"
"Mom!" Emma protested. "I'll need sessions with Archie for months!" Snow chuckled at her embarrassment. It would never be something Snow felt she had to be embarrassed about discussing. It was the night she and the man she loved cemented that love and their journey into parenthood began, however bittersweet that journey seemed to be.
