Parental duties
A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow taking care of a sick toddler Emma in the Enchanted Forest.
Guest who asked for Neal intentionally hurting himself: I'm afraid this has been too closely covered.
"Mama." The little child whimpered, cuddling into her mommy.
"It's alright, my little lamb, mama's here." Snow said, rubbing Emma's back. If only the more snobbish members of her court could see her now. Clothes spattered with Emma's vomit, hair a tangled mess from tossing and turning all night worried she'd choke on it. Her face flushed from having the little two year old lying on top of her seeking comfort. But this is where Snow felt the most comfortable. Not in some stuffy meeting room with people whose noses were so high in the air they brushed against the ceiling. Here, where she was not a Queen. Here, where she was simply Emma's mother, just like any other mother, comforting her sick child. Doc had assured both Snow and Charming that Emma would be back to her usual, full of beans, self within a couple of days. That didn't stop them worrying in the present. They were taking shifts between one doing royal duties and one of them watching over Emma. Yes they could have had one of many people take care of their daughter, but that wouldn't be fair when she was so sick. Particularly since this was her first tummy bug. No, this was their responsibility as parents to nurse her back to health.
