Feeding problems
A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow having trouble breastfeeding a newborn Emma. I've combined this with the guest who asked for Snow being embarrassed feeding Emma in front of her friends. If anyone in my family should see my Google search history for this chapter they may think I have a surprise in store lol.
"Come on baby." Snow said, on the verge of tears herself. "You must be hungry, have some milk." But no matter how much Snow persisted Emma refused to latch on. Snow felt totally rejected. Did Emma just not like her? She was only a day old and had she already decided she didn't like her mommy? It had been heavily suggested by various people before Emma was born that Snow should hire a wet nurse to feed her, but both she and Charming decided they didn't want to pursue that option. Emma was their baby, and Snow's milk was what was best for her. Well, if she would take it. Snow heard her bedroom door open and peeked up to see her husband, smiling at her.
"There's my girls." He said warmly. "Someone's Auntie Red has come to meet her gorgeous little niece." Charming moved in and Red came following behind. Snow gasped and yanked her top down. Red raised an eyebrow.
"Really? We lived in a hut in the forest together but feeding your baby and suddenly you become shy?"
"Well I don't want to go around exposing myself." Snow mumbled. "Besides, it's not like she's actually feeding anyway. She's refusing to eat." Charming and Red could hear the pain in her voice and came over to either side of the bed.
"Well of course she won't if you're getting yourself all worked up about it silly." Red said gently. "Try to relax, Snow. She will eat when she's hungry. She's only just come into this world, she maybe doesn't feel like eating just now. She'll be just fine.
"Red's right, Snow. Don't fret. She'll be fine. We can get a midwife in here to give you some advice?" He suggested.
"I think that would be best." Snow answered honestly. She was determined to feed Emma herself. This was her daughter, not some other woman's. She and Emma would work this out together.
