Rebel

A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma repeatedly getting phone calls from a collection agency over $10 that she owes to some company. Snowing tell her to pay it, so she does…in pennies. She goes to the bank and gets $10 worth of pennies and tapes them each to a bit of cardboard and mails them to the company.

"I cannot believe you did that." Snow snapped, mortified. Emma shrugged, feeling pretty smug with herself.

"You and dad just said I had to give them the ten dollars, you didn't say how. Besides, they deserved it after all those annoying cold calls. Half of them weren't even a real living person! They were those stupid automated recording messages. Let's see if those stupid recordings can count one thousand cent pieces."

"Don't get smart with us Emma, that was a cheeky move and you know it." Charming chastised his daughter. "You could have been a grownup about this and just gave them their stupid ten dollar bill. You could have even done it by transaction online and not have to mail them anything. But no, you went for the childish route and send them ten dollars worth of pennies sellotaped to a piece of cardboard with a crude letter telling them where they could shove each penny."

"Well which way is more fun?" Emma defended herself. "You should have seen the look on the banker's face when I gave him the note and asked for the pennies. Priceless!"

"Oh Emma." Snow sighed, dropping her face to her hands. "What exactly did I make?" Emma laughed and wrapped an arm lazily around her mom's shoulders.

"A total badass bitch who takes no shit from no one?" Snow suggested.

"More like a foul-mouthed little rebel without a cause." Charming grumbled in reply. Emma just laughed. She couldn't really deny it, could she?
