Bipolar
LyssLovesShules33 asked for a oneshot of Emma being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and her parents having to control her medication. This frustrates Emma at first but they explain they're doing it because they love her and want to help keep her safe.
Snow gently placed the tablets down in front of Emma's breakfast glass of OJ as she nibbled on a slice of toast.
"Here's your morning dose sweetie. Your dad's got your lunchtime ones packed away ready for you." Snow said with a warm smile. Emma slid the tablets over to her and gulped them down, aware of her parents watching to check she didn't cheek them to spit out later.
"I could handle this by myself, you know." Emma said coldly. "The prescription is in my name after all. I'm a big girl. I can handle a few pills." Snow and Charming just sighed. Neither wanted to remind Emma that she had, in the beginning, been in charge of the upkeep of her pills and had neglected to take them. She claimed that if her choices were feel intense sadness all over or feel numb everywhere but her head she would take the sadness. She had gone into a manic depressive state and had nearly done something very dangerous.
"We know honey, but we just want to make sure you're safe." Charming said, coming over and sitting beside her. "Just humour us, ay? We know you could handle it by yourself, but this just means nobody can accuse you of not taking them. Think about it that way." Charming suggested. Emma still wasn't happy with this arrangement they'd decided between them, but she couldn't deny that she did understand why. If it was Henry and he'd done what she had she would be controlling his medication too. But it didn't make her feel any less frustrated by the situation, just more understanding.
