Wrong teacher

Mia asked for a oneshot of Snowing and Neal on a walk and they see Hook and Henry teaching Emma sword fighting. He is a bit huffy and miffed because he wanted to teach her.

"He's finally fallen asleep." Snow whispered to her husband. Charming carefully peaked into the pram to see the miracle with his own eyes. Neal was now teething and as such having a lot of trouble sleeping. One of the few things that seemed to help him drift off was a stroll in his pram around the town. Now Snow and Charming just had to make sure no baby admirers stuck their heads in the pram and woke him up.

As the couple began to steer him back home, they spotted their daughter, grandson and Hook in the park together.

"What on Earth are they up to?" Snow whispered, squinting to get a better look. Hook and Henry were on one side whilst Emma was on the other. There seemed to be a lot of prancing around on their tiptoes.

"Is that the wooden swords I got for Henry and I?" Charming whispered. Snow nodded, seeing them now too. She smiled.

"Henry and Hook are teaching Emma sword fighting." She deducted. "How sweet." Snow turned to smile at her husband to find he was not smiling himself. In fact, he looked rather grumpy. "What's wrong with you? You look like you've just had a swig of sour milk." Snow asked him.

"I wanted to do that." He grumbled. "I wanted to teach her how to sword fight." He admitted. Snow understood. She gently patted his back.

"Well think about it this way, Henry's using the skills you taught him to help teach Emma so in a way…"

"It's not the same and you know it." Charming finished for her. "That was meant to be my job, not theirs. I feel cheated."

"I know." Snow said, leaning against him. "I know it isn't easy, but they bet you to it. Henry probably begged to be allowed to show her and Hook just joined in. There's still plenty of things you can teach her."

"Like how to flatten a pirate?" Charming offered. Snow chuckled.

"No, keep thinking. Come on, let's get this little prince to bed. You'll always be able to show him one day." Snow said in an attempt to cheer him up.

"Yes, and he can flatten the pirate. He'll be old and decrepit by then, easy pickings!" Charming said hopefully. Snow just rolled her eyes. He wasn't going to give up on this one for a while she feared.
