Princess duties- part 2
A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch989 "Princess duties".
The bowing at town meetings had only been the beginning. There was a whole host of royal protocols Emma was yet to be acquainted with.
There was the celebrity like status that had been thrust upon her. Being both the saviour and technically a princess in such a small town led to a lot of fanfare. It seemed like Emma couldn't go anywhere without someone asking for a selfie with her, or for her to sign something or other. Emma wasn't sure she liked being "famous". It didn't suit in with her introvert lifestyle.
Then there was the extra surveillance her parents had placed on her. They denied having anyone watch over Emma and claimed she was just being paranoid but she wasn't stupid. She knew when someone was following her. She tried her best to shake them off but more often than not they managed to trail her all day until she was home again.
The extra politeness was driving her up the wall. People seemed to refuse to disagree with her! No matter what happened it never seemed to be her fault. She wished someone would yell at her for accidentally barging into them when she wasn't watching where she was going or skipped them in a queue when she didn't see them behind her waiting. Just the other day she made poor old Katie Gardner wait an extra fifteen minutes while she bought a whole trolley full of food. All she was getting was a loaf of bread! Emma just hadn't seen her until after she'd purchased the food. It was so irritating that people weren't telling her when she was in the wrong anymore just because of who her parents are. She was still the same person, and just as likely to make mistakes.
Emma was still getting used to the drawbacks as well as the upsides to royal living. She was just going to need a better disguise for when she left the house!
