Emma's food
Justsoficc asked for a oneshot of the Charming family making fun of Emma's skills in the kitchen. Henry sticks up for her and says he preferred it when they ate from home in NYC because Emma was such a good cook.
"Now are you sure this is safe?" Snow teased Emma again. "Because I'm more than happy to take over or drive down to Granny's and pick up some takeout…"
"I can handle a simple beef stew thank you very much." Emma defended herself.
"If you say so honey. If you see that the hospital's number is on my speed dial it is not because I'm worried about food poisoning…"
"Oh ha ha, very funny. I assure you that I can some beef, onions and carrots. I can even deal with the gravy and potatoes too. Aren't I clever?" Emma mocked herself. Her parents and Henry all laughed.
"Don't take it personal sweetie, it's just you're not normally one to volunteer yourself in the kitchen."
"She did it all the time in New York." Henry piped up. Snow and Charming turned and looked at him, surprised. To their knowledge Emma struggled with toast. "It was just us, and takeout is great but expensive. To be honest I preferred mom's food to takeout anyway. It was less greasy. Beef stew was one of my favourite dishes she made. Trust me guys, you're in for a treat; not a trip to the hospital. Snow and Charming now looked impressed.
"Thank you for sharing that with us Henry, we never would have thought about the false memories. We'll need to put Emma in the kitchen more often for her to share her skills.
"Aw man! Henry, one of the advantages of living with your parents is that they cook for you to prevent you living off pot noodles from laziness! You've blown my cover dude!" Henry grinned and shrugged his shoulders.
"Sorry, but I've missed it. I love grandma and grandpa's food. But they encourage more greens."
