Penance
Marina Ka-Fai asked for a oneshot of the Charmings telling Lily they will help her to look for her father if she wishes. They apologise for what they put her through and Maleficent overhears them.
Fairy-dust: I'm afraid hearing loss has been covered. Also folks, if you're asking for a sequel could you keep it within 100 chapters of where the story is at please? It's tricky to do a sequel when I hardly remember the original lol.
Guest: the stone incident?
"Do you mind if we join you?" Snow asked nervously. Lily looked up from her chicken baguette. It was obvious to the couple that their presence was making her tense.
"Whatever." She grumbled. Taking that as a go ahead, the couple slid into the booth opposite Lily. She put down her lunch and sighed, thinking she was probably about to lose her appetite. Charming placed his hand over Snow's, a sign of unity between them.
"Emma told us you're looking for your father." Charming began the conversation. "I think after everything's that's happened the least we can do is offer to help you find him…" Lily snorted. Really? This was their way of trying to make everything alright?
"Lilith, what we did to you…it was unforgivable. We know that, and we aren't expecting you to accept our apology even though we certainly apologise. As you know, not long after you were transported to this world, our daughter was too. We feel that pain and we know what Emma has went through and we wouldn't wish it on anyone and we are so remorseful that we would do it to someone else- particularly an innocent child." Snow said, the guilt clear in her voice. Lily's hands balled into fists. Her eyes now had a dash of amber about them as she fought to keep her cool and not turn into her dragon self.
"What I went through," She snarled through gritted teeth "was worse than your precious Emma. Unlike her, I wasn't the epitome of goodness. I was the poster child for a fuck up instead. All because you gave all of Emma's potential darkness to me. I could never have a normal childhood now here you are trying to make amends? Well let me tell you…"
"Don't be so quick to dismiss their help." Came a cool voice. Snow, Charming and Lily looked up to see Maleficent towering above them.
"They're right, what they put us through was unforgiveable, and it was only fair that their child had a very similar fate. But regardless, Lily, they have connections you and I could only dream of. I can put lines through to villains and other dragons whom I know, but they can contact heroes. Not all dragons are villains, it's possible your father was a hero." Maleficent explained. Lily rolled her eyes and glared back at the Charming's.
"Fine." She snapped. "I accept your help, but do not take this as a sign of forgiveness." Snow and Charming were elated. They hoped helping Lily might ease them of some of the guilt they were riddled with and help their conscience. Even if Lily never forgave them.
