Turkey in flight
hailsara1973 asked for a oneshot of Emma trying to deep fry a turkey and it backfiring comically. Granny sees it flying through the air and shoots it with her crossbow. The arrow bounces off it and it hits Hook in the backside to Charming's amusement.
Guest: I have no idea what Family Feud is.
"Oh shit!" Emma yelled. The oil was bubbling violently- too violently. She took the pan off the hob, but hadn't prepared for the handle to be so hot. She let it go, and was lucky to avoid the boiling oil burning her. However, the semi-fried turkey was not going to be able to be rescued. Emma had made sure the window at Granny's where she was cooking (the kitchen at home was much too small for such an experiment) was open to stop steam building up. Unfortunately it also meant that the turkey had an escape route. It went soaring out of the window, leaving Emma gobsmacked in the kitchen.
Granny was babysitting Neal in the little play park by the diner while Snow taught and Charming patrolled with Hook. In typical Granny babysitting fashion she had her crossbow with her, just in case.
"Oh shit!" She heard someone exclaim. She turned around and just saw a flying blob in the sky. She thought it might be a magical creature. She used her quick reflexes to shoot at the thing, but the arrow only skimmed the creature's side and sent it careering to the right.
"Remind me why we have to walk round here so many times mate." Hook complained. "It can't have been more than fifteen minutes since we last passed this spot, nothing much can have changed."
"Just keep walking, pirate." Charming ordered. He couldn't be bothered explaining himself to Hook when he was being so whiney.
Suddenly, Hook felt some hard force smack him in the backside. It send him stumbling forwards and falling to the dirt. He cried out in shock. This thing whatever it might be was also rather hot and slimy. He reached back and threw it off of him, turning round to find Charming bent over laughing.
"Looks like Emma's turkey experiment went a little wrong." He said between fits of laughter. Hook looked over and saw that the thing that had hit him was indeed a half fried turkey. His belief that Swan should never cook for him was cemented.
