Empathise- part 2
2 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1031 "Empathise".
"Don't ever do that to me again, I don't care how much you want to practise your magic as a surprise for me, don't ever disappear like that. Amy, I was so scared…"
"I'm sorry mom." Amy murmured against Regina's shoulder as Regina held her daughter tightly, pressing small kisses to the top of her head. Regina caught a glimpse of Snow out of the corner of her eye. Snow was smiling, clearly both happy and relieved that the mother-daughter pair had been reunited, but Regina could see the bitter-sweetness in her smile. Yes, Snow and her daughter had eventually been reunited, but it wasn't after just an hour. It was after twenty eight long years. Regina had been able to raise Amy from birth, Snow waited nearly three decades to hold her daughter in her arms once more. Regina finally understood the pain she must have inflicted upon Snow and Charming. She had done something so unspeakably evil to them- tearing apart their whole family. She had ruined their chance to witness their daughter grow up and had ruined Emma's chances of a happy child. If anyone had separated her from Amy, Regina wasn't sure she'd ever be able to forgive them. Yet here Snow was, having helped her search for her own lost daughter. Regina looked at Snow right in the eye.
"Thank you." She said sincerely. She could see Snow had picked up the heartfelt apology that came with the thanks. Snow smiled back, she had indeed understood.
