Fiends asked for a oneshot of Emma needing to ask her mom to borrow a pad. She's embarrassed about it but Snow is comforting.
"Aw man!" Emma groaned. She had hoped it was just discharge, but no, her period had come a day early. She looked across at the toilet paper. That would soak through in a matter of seconds. She kicked herself for not planning ahead and packing a pad in her bag. She was going to have to hope her mom was more organised than she was. She didn't really fancy having to ask her mom, Emma was quite funny about things like this. She didn't really have much choice though, unless she wanted to have to tell people she sat in red paint. (AN, an excuse that has saved many teen girls…)
Emma headed out to where her mom was sitting in the booth.
"Hey honey, you took your time. Everything ok?" Snow asked. Emma slid in opposite her, her cheeks already heating up.
"Hey, um, mom…I kind of started. I mean, do you happen to have a…you know…" At first, Snow genuinely didn't know. But then the embarrassment helped her twig what was wrong with Emma.
"A pad sweetie. Yeah sure." Snow picked up her handbag and rummaged around. She pulled out a small green plastic packet and slid it under the table to Emma, who took it.
"Thanks." Emma mumbled before retreating back to the bathroom. When she came back through she was still obviously mortified.
"Honey, it's no big deal. It's perfectly natural. Don't be embarrassed." Emma just grunted, looking down at her plate and stabbing her fork into her chicken Kiev. Snow just smiled at her. She'd make sure they stocked up on chocolate and painkillers on the way home.
