Derailment- part 2

Sonia asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1053 "Derailment" where Snow steps in. I won't include Ashley/Ella if that's ok. Also folks, please remember if you're asking for a request to include the chapter number and name in your review. Particularly from next week on it'll be too difficult for me to search through and check!

Guest: I'm afraid this has already been covered.

Guest: I'm afraid I've already said I won't do any more of an adult Emma in a child's body.

I'll use this as a moment to encourage guests to either create an account of use a name :P

Emma couldn't help but notice her mom was unusually quiet during their walk home. When she turned and looked at her mom, she also noticed that her mom looked rather down.

"Has something happened between you and dad or something?" Emma asked her. "You seem pretty upset." Snow sighed, and kept her eyes fixed on the handles of Neal's pram.

"You told Ella that you derailed my life." Snow said quietly. "You actually believe I could think that about you?" Emma hadn't realised her mom had overheard that particular conversation.

"Well, uh, that's not exactly how I meant it to come out." Emma stuttered, rubbing the back of her neck uncomfortably. The silence from her mom told Emma that she expecting Emma to expand on that. "What I meant was, having me has put you through a lot of crap, both emotionally and physically. I mean, how many times have you nearly died because of me?-"

"How many times have you nearly died for Henry?" Snow retorted.

"A few." Emma said, uncertain of the actual figure.

"And would you ever go back and not risk your life for him? Would you ever go back and not have him because it was at some point hazardous to your health?" It was then Emma's turn to remain silent. "No, I didn't think so. Emma you are no derailment in my life. You are my life along with the rest of our family. I will do whatever it takes to keep you both safe and happy. All the pain that I have to go through to achieve that is worth it when I see you smile." Snow stopped pushing the buggy and turned to face Emma. She tilted Emma's chin so that her daughter had to look at her. "Do you understand?" Emma nodded. Snow moved and wrapped her arms around Emma. "Good. Just keep getting used to it."
