Dragon baby
Marina Ka-Fai asked for a oneshot of Lily being pregnant and scared to death. She doesn't know who the father is or how her mother will react. She also doesn't trust her own abilities in motherhood as she "destroys everything she touches". Emma comforts her. Snowing overhear them and offer their support. Together they give Lily the strength to tell her mother.
"I don't know what to do Emma." Lily said, dropping her face to her hands. "I mean, I don't even know who their father is."
"Dragon thing?" Emma asked. Lily nodded. She sat up and sighed.
"It sucks." She said bitterly. "I'm a damn adult and not knowing who your father is sucks. What am I meant to tell my kid? Yeah, so it was just a onetime thing because he was horny then he was gone. And that's how you were born. "My mom is the only person who'll understand, and I don't think telling her is a good idea. We haven't known each other for very long, but even then she's made it super clear that she doesn't want me turning out like her. I'm practically a clone of her life right now! Plus, how can I be a mother? I destroy everything I touch. What chance does this baby even have?" Lily said bitterly. Emma reached over and rested her hand on her friend's back.
"You don't destroy everything you touch." She said gently. "And a child doesn't need a father. I mean, I get that if you knew who he was and could tell them you should, but if this guy doesn't want to know isn't he better out of their life?" Lily shrugged, she just didn't know.
"Emma's right Lily, you don't destroy everything." Both Emma and Lily turned to see Snow and Charming standing behind the bench they were sitting on. Lily rolled her eyes.
"Do you two just appear at the worst possible times? Is that your thing?" She sniped. Snow smiled gently at her.
"Regardless, I think you should tell your mother. You are not alone with this baby, and she could be a great help. Of course we will help out wherever possible, but she's your mother. Trust us, she's not going to abandon you with a baby. She'll be excited to be a grandmother."
"It's a fresh start for both of you." Charming added. "A life you can both be part of from the beginning." At this Emma felt the pang of their pain. They had not only missed her childhood, but a decade of Henry's.
"If I promise to talk to her, will you both leave me alone?" Lily sighed.
"Yes." Charming and Snow said together. Lily got up and left Emma with her parents. They each rested a hand on Emma's shoulder as they watched Lily go. Maybe a fresh start with her mother was exactly what she needed.
