Bonding day

A guest asked for a oneshot of there being no curse (but they are in our land) and Emma not being the eldest child. Emma has an older brother and sister as well as a younger sister. Emma herself is seven years old. It's 'mommy's night' where Snow (I'm assuming since your request said Snow you still want them to originally be from the EF?) watches movies and bonds with her children.

Fairy-Dust and guest: I'm afraid these have already been too closely covered.

Guest: Sorry, I wouldn't know where to begin writing a sequel for Ch1065

Guest: Huh?

Guest: Sorry, but that would make him sad that Emma was a girl too.

Guest: Sorry, but I think that's a wee bit out there for me.

Dearie: Sorry, but I've covered heat exhaustion.

Snow sighed contently as she relaxed against the couch. Her eldest Marali sat directly beneath Snow, clutching a cushion to her chest. Her boy Caleb sat at the opposite end of the sofa with his little bowl of popcorn. Her middle girl Emma sat between her and Caleb snuggled with her arms around one of Snow's. Then Snow's youngest Rosie sat between Snow and the arm of the sofa, with her legs draped over Snow's. Snow used her free hand to gently trace patterns over Rosie's legs subconsciously.

All four of her babies merrily giggled away at the little yellow creatures in their blue denim dungarees and their giant goggles as they blabbed away in gobbledygook. Snow didn't understand the fascination with these so-called minions, but apparently all of her children did, and seeing as it was rare to find a movie that was suitable for all four she wasn't going to complain. Once a fortnight one parent would have a Saturday evening and night in with the kids and the other would go out with their friends. Tonight Charming was out with Graham and the rest of the guys, and Snow had bonded with their children.

But now they were beginning to droop, and Snow could understand why, it was way past their bedtimes.

"Ok kiddies. Bedtime." Snow said, as the credits began to roll. A soft snore from her right made her chuckle softly. "I see Rosie's already got a head start." Snow tried to free the arm that Emma was clutching, but found Emma tightening her grip. She glanced to her left to see Emma just ever so slightly shake her head. She was a very subtle little girl, not wanting people to know her feelings. She was going through quite a clingy stage, and clearly didn't want Snow to leave. "It's ok, Marali's going to sit with you until I'm back and then I'll carry you up to bed too." Snow promised. Marali then moved over and opened her arms up for Emma. Emma stared at them reluctantly. "Go on." Snow encouraged her. Still reluctantly, Emma crawled over to Marali allowing Snow to scoop Rosie up. Snow stood up and began to head upstairs, but stopped at Caleb, who she knew would be in bed by the time she came back down. She bent down and kissed his forehead.

"Night little man." She whispered. Caleb grimaced and rubbed his forehead with his palm.

"Mom!" He complained. Snow smiled. He was only nine yet growing up so quickly.

"Sorry honey, old habit. Sweet dreams." Snow then stood back up with Rosie and carried her up to bed. She tucked her youngest in, making sure to leave the Care Bear nightlight on, both in case Rosie woke up needing to go to the toilet at some point and so Snow could carry Emma into her bed. She then kissed her forehead gently. "Sleep tight baby girl." Snow whispered, leaving her with a final stroke of the cheek.

She then came back downstairs, to an all too eager Emma. She practically leapt out of Marali's arms and held them up for Snow instead. Snow smiled and picked her up. She didn't mind, she knew that at seven her days of being able to carry Emma were filtering off.

"Come on you, bed time." Snow bent down and kissed Marali's cheek.

"You get yourself too baby. Sleep well."

"Thanks mom, night." Marali said, before getting up, stretching, and slumping up the stairs. Snow let her head up before carrying Emma.

"Come on you," Snow whispered, kissing the side of Emma's head "let's get you to bed. We need to be nice and quiet, Rosie's sleeping." Emma nodded against Snow's shoulder.

Snow carefully creeped into Emma and Rosie's room. She placed Emma on her bed and carefully tucked her in.

"Mommy too." Emma whispered. Snow smiled.

"Ok honey, mommy too." Snow whispered back, coming in beside Emma. The little girl curled up to Snow and rested her head on her mommy's chest. Snow began to run her fingers through the golden waves. She could still here Rosie's gentle snores, and hoped she was having peaceful, fun filled dreams along with her other children. Snow couldn't imagine a more perfect evening to spend with her children. Only her Charming could have completed the day.
