Tough choices
Malory asked for a oneshot of Emma having another baby that was planned. Henry asks her if she wasn't in jail when she found out she was pregnant would she have had an abortion. So goes without saying that there is a trigger warning for this chapter on the topic of abortion.
Henry looked at the scan picture in awe. He couldn't believe this tiny little blob was the baby growing inside his mom.
"What do you think?" Emma asked nervously. She was still worried about Henry's reaction to Emma having a baby she was going to raise. Henry smiled at her.
"I think it's cool." He said. "I can't believe this is a baby. It looks like a little peanut right now." Emma looked over his shoulder and smiled lovingly. Her little peanut.
"Would you have still had me if you weren't in jail?" Henry suddenly blurted out. "Like, would you have…you know…" Emma's face paled as she cottoned on to what Henry meant. She had never really thought about that before. She hadn't really had a choice in jail. But Emma didn't think she could go through with something like that. Didn't think she could live with herself.
"No, I wouldn't have." Emma answered him. "You were always a person to me. I respect that people have their own opinions on that, but that was mine. Even if I couldn't look after you, I knew someone else could." Emma answered him. She ruffled his hair. "It's just as well, I think fate has big plans for you." She said proudly. Henry smiled back, relieved. He'd been worried that his existence was just a matter of circumstance. It was good to know there was more to it than that.
