Scouts- part 2

A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch916 "Scouts" where Emma and Henry go home and Snowing ask where they've been.

Snow checked the clock once more before returning to her pacing. She'd walked up and down the living room carpet so many times in the last hour she was sure she was beginning to wear it down by now.

"They should have been home ages ago." Snow said yet again. "It's getting dark Charming, what if they're lost in the forest? What if they're hurt?" Charming was just as anxious as Snow, but pacing wouldn't help him. He got up from his chair, having decided he'd waited long enough.

"I'm going to look for them." He announced, grabbing his jacket and a torch. But just as he did, the front door opened. Snow and Charming moved quickly to the hall to find the dishevelled, mucky pair looking rather sorry for themselves. "Where have you both been?!" Charming asked. "I was just about to go trapesing round the forest looking for you. We've tried calling you both several times. You were meant to be home by six, its half past eight now! We were worried sick."

"Long story." Emma grumbled, clearly exhausted. "Can we maybe tell it later? Like, after some food and a shower…and a nap?"

"Of course, I've left it in the oven. It'll all still be warm. We didn't want to eat without you." Snow said, rushing away to the kitchen to get the food. Emma and Henry shrugged off their wet and muddy jackets before kicking off their hiking boots and leaving them strewn about the hall. They dragged themselves into the living room and collapsed side by side on the couch. Charming chuckled to himself as he watched the pair struggle to keep their eyes open long enough to wait for Snow to give them their dinner. They wouldn't last one week in the Enchanted Forest.
