What's the difference?
hailsara1973 asked for a oneshot of Neal asking Emma and Hook why boys are different from girls.
FictionLover12: No, I just thought it was a rubbish show haha. But thanks for the messages of good luck :).
All worked out well everyone. I passed!
Gigi Queen: I'm afraid that's been too closely covered.
"But I just don't understand." Neal whinged. "Why? Why won't you tell me what's different? Why do you just keep saying 'because'?"
"Well…just because." Hook said, beginning to feel quite flustered. Neal pouted, clearly in a huff with who he had until today considered one of his favourite people. What was the big deal? Why wouldn't anyone tell him the secret? What was the difference between boys and girls?!
Hook had never been so grateful to see Emma come into the room, and that was saying something. Emma caught sight of her boyfriend and her little brother clearly in the middle of a heated discussion. Something told her she'd regret asking this, but she couldn't deny Hook when he was clearly sending her signals asking for help.
"What's going on here then?" Emma asked. Neal looked up at his sister, turning his back to Hook. He pointed back at him accusingly.
"He's keeping secrets from me." He said huffily. Emma tried to hold back her laughter at how adorable Neal looked.
"Oh yeah? What secret would that be?" Emma asked him.
"What is the difference between boys and girls?" Neal asked his sister hopefully. Emma's smile faded, no wonder Hook wanted help on this one. Well, there was only one thing for it: passing the buck.
"Mom and dad will be home in about ten minutes from getting their groceries. They'll tell you." Emma assured him. This (to Emma and Hook's relief) pacified Neal. Now they no longer felt the responsibility to explain!
