Scaring off the boys
nikia asked for a oneshot of Charming ruining a teen Emma in Storybrooke's date with a boy she felt she loved. Emma gets mad and tells her dad he has basically "ruined her love life". She asks who's going to love and take care of her when they're dead. She asks why Neal was allowed to find his Snow White but she wasn't allowed to find her Prince Charming. To make this a little easier I've made Neal the big brother.
"I can't believe you!" Emma screamed. "Sebastian and I were in love! You have ruined my love life!"
"Ruining your love life? Emma, you're seventeen! Honey, you're far too young to know what love really is. Besides, he was nowhere near good enough for you…"
"How old was Neal when he met Elizabeth dad?" Emma snapped. Charming stayed silent. "That's right, he was seventeen. Now they're married and she's expecting a child. You allowed Neal to find his true love, why won't you let me find mine? Why do you keep scaring the potentials off?" Charming sighed and rested a hand on each of Emma's shoulders.
"If they were really your true love they wouldn't be scared off so easily-"
"You threatened to cut his head off and chased him off with your sword!" Emma pointed out. Charming shrugged.
"I call dad's rights. Anyway, I'm just doing my job and trying to keep you safe. I don't want you getting hurt, ever." Charming tried to explain to her. Emma looked up with her big hazel eyes.
"You won't be around to protect me forever." She pointed out sadly. "Both you and mom. Neal has his own life to lead with Elizabeth and their growing family. Who's going to look out for me then?" Charming didn't know how to answer that. "Exactly. I know I can take care of myself, but don't you want a little extra assurance? Don't you want someone around who can take care of me? Don't you want me to be safe?" Charming's eyes narrowed. That was a dirty trick Emma was pulling. Emma grinned, knowing she'd at least won this round. She reached up on her tiptoes and kissed her dad's cheek.
"Think that over while I go write a message to Sebastian." She said, walking off. It took Charming a moment to realise what she had said. That girl was sneaky!
