A fumbling introduction- part 2
A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1096 "A fumbling introduction". There were others who asked for sequels, there were reasons why they weren't going to be written anyway but this guest was the only one who remembered to give both the chapter name and number.
Guest: I'm afraid that has been too closely covered.
Nelly: I'm not sure how I'd get a chapter out of that I'm afraid.
Emma stumbled out onto the balcony. She ran forward until her hands wrapped around the cold marble guard. Tears stung against her cheeks. What a clumsy idiot she was!
"Are you alright?" An alarmed voice asked behind her. Emma at first thought it was one of the many castle guards checking on the princess and turned round to tell them to go away, when her breath was taken away by the handsome sailor. He had followed her out here. Emma was acutely aware of her tear stained face.
"Yes, I'm alright." Emma lied, hastily wiping her tears with her silk glove. "I just needed some air." The man nodded. He stepped forward into the moonlight, illuminating his perfectly chiselled chin with his rough stubble.
"If you're sure." He said. He took a small bow. "We were never properly introduced, your highness, my name is Killian Jones. Emma smiled. He was absolutely adorable.
"It's an honour to meet you, Mr Jones." Killian smiled, bridging some of the distance between them.
"I never did get my dance, Princess." He said cheekily as he extended his arms. Emma smiled, her cheeks turning rosy as she graciously took his hands. Together they listened to the still loud music of the orchestra, carefully dancing around the little patio.
The song ended all too quickly for both of their likings, but social etiquette meant Emma had to mix with the other guests and Killian had to dance with other eligible young ladies. They parted sadly.
"I'd best be heading back inside." Killian sighed. "Don't stay out here too long, princess, you'll catch a chill."
"Thank you for your concern, Mr Jones. I hope to see you around." Killian nodded graciously before heading back inside, leaving Emma to lean against a nearby pillar and sigh. What was this strange new feeling?
