Ticking away
Zelda asked for a oneshot of Charming not being around during the last few days before Snow's due date and Snow scared of giving birth alone. Based on Emma's birth.
The daily notes were what Snow lived for right now. Every day at exactly seven am Snow would send Charming a note via bluebird to tell him there was no sign of the baby coming. By two-thirty in the afternoon Snow would get a note in return from him promising he was on his way home and to hold on until then. He didn't want to miss his baby's birth and he was doing everything in his power not to. With Regina's threat of a curse looming over them he had to at least try and find a way to stop her. But with Snow's due date getting closer and closer, Snow had told him to stop and come home. Their baby was more at risk from Regina and her curse if Charming wasn't around when she was born. Perhaps this was part of Regina's evil plan; to snatch Emma whilst Snow was weak and vulnerable. Snow clutched her belly protectively at the very thought of Regina getting her hands on their baby. That was why she was so frightened of giving birth alone. What if she couldn't protect Emma? What if Regina came and hurt her? She needed Charming here. She needed him to be here when she gave birth.
"Just you stay in there until your daddy's back." She whispered, rubbing her belly. "You're safe in there. We'll always keep you safe." She promised her daughter. She would not Regina harm her child.
