Wedding ring- part 2

hailsara1973 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1114 "Wedding ring" where the curse didn't happen and little Emma finds the ring one day whilst playing. So this has been set in the EF rather than our world as in the original chapter.

Snow and Charming smiled as they watched Emma giggling merrily away as she tried to catch the butterfly that always stayed just out of her reach. Emma wasn't put off easily, she persevered, continuing to gently try and capture the mini beast between her hands. She had no intention of harming the little pale pink creature. As soon as she would catch it, she would let it go again, free in the wilderness.

Emma was so focused on the little insect that she didn't notice the roots at her feet. She got her foot caught in one and stumbled to the grass with a soft 'oomph'. Snow and Charming were quickly up from where they were sitting.

"Are you ok sweetie?" Charming called over to the five year old. Emma nodded, getting up and dusting off her dress. She held something out to them, pinched between her index finger and thumb.

"I found something cool when I fell!" She called over. "Come see!" The parents wandered over and Emma held out the little object to them. "I found it in the grass." She explained. Snow and Charming's eyes widened in shock when they saw what Emma was holding. It was a little rusty now, and filthy with mud and grime, but they'd recognise it anywhere; it didn't matter that they hadn't seen it for three years. That was Snow's wedding ring. Snow picked her daughter up and started to smother her face with kisses. "Mama!" Emma giggled, gently pushing her away. "Silly! What are you doing?" Snow took the ring from Emma and held it out.

"This is mommy's ring Emma." Snow explained. "I haven't seen it since you were very little. It means a lot to mommy and I'm very happy that you've found it. You're mommy's super clever girl aren't you?" Snow said, pressing her forehead to Emma's. She would need to have it cleaned, of course, but it was good to be able to have the ring back with her where it belonged.
