Too long apart
Guest100 asked for a oneshot of Killian having been on a mission in a different realm returns after a year away. Emma had had no contact with him since he left and was beginning to think he might be dead. He returns to the dock on the Jolly Roger where Emma and her family are having a picnic (sorry about all your stuff!)
Hook leaned as far over the wooden edge as he could to get a glimpse of the shore of Storybrooke. It had been too long since he'd been here last. Since he'd left to get a message to Ariel and Eric that Ariel's sisters had came to Storybrooke to inform of the passing of her father King Triton. Hook felt it was his responsibility to find the couple and pass on the sad news. He didn't want to take anyone else with him, not knowing exactly where he was going or the dangers that would be faced. He had eventually found them and shared the news, and they were returned with him on the ship.
Hook had not been able to get a message to Emma throughout his journey. This was the first time he would be in contact with her since he left.
He willed the ship to propel forward at speed. He wanted to see her face again. To hold her in his arms, to kiss her… He just wanted to be with her.
The ship crawled in much slower than Hook would wish. But eventually he made out the shore, and figures on it. His heart skipped a beat- that was Emma. Emma and her family were having a picnic on the shore.
"Emma!" He yelled out. "Emma, love!" He waved his hands around in the air like an idiot, but it worked. The family looked up as the ship came to the dock. Hook heard Emma scream before she scrambled to her feet, sprinting to the dock. Hook was running to her just as quickly. He didn't have a chance to say anything before Emma grabbed his face and pressed her lips firmly to his. Hook responded just as eagerly until he felt something wet against his cheeks. He pulled back to see that Emma was crying.
"I thought you were dead." She admitted. "I thought something had gone wrong. I was so worried…" Hook pulled her into his arms, and instantly felt whole again.
