Butterflies
Codi asked for a oneshot of the Charming family going on a picnic and Emma falling asleep on a blanket while Henry and Charming swordfight. Snow notices that butterflies keep landing on her. Thinking it's cute she takes pictures. Emma wakes up and freaks out because the butterflies startled her.
Snow chuckled lightly to herself as she watched her husband and grandson dance around with the wooden swords. Charming was doing his best to have Henry focus on the technique needed to take part in a proper swordfight, but Henry just wanted to have a joust with his grandfather.
"That'll be you one day, little man." Snow cooed to her son as he lay beside her on the picnic blanket, babbling away merrily, shaking his rattle. Snow noticed that Emma had been quiet for quite a while, she wondered if she wanted to join in the fighting lessons. "You know, if you want to join in all you need to do is get up and ask. Your father will be more than happy to…" But then Snow smiled as she looked at her daughter on her other side. She was lying down, having dozed off in the summer sun. Snow's smile grew as she saw the four or five little butterflies who had landed around Emma, on her arms and head. Snow pulled out her phone and snapped a few pictures of the sweet moment. It was like a real life Disney princess moment. She didn't call the boys over to see, frightened they'd scare off the fragile insects. She'd make sure to show them the pictures later.
"How sweet is your big sissy Neal?" Snow whispered to her son. "See, even she takes naps."
Just then, Henry cried out in victory as he got Charming in the chest (Charming obviously having let him win). This startled Emma enough to wake her. She sat up, and the butterflies surprisingly didn't move. When she did see them, she cried out in shock, falling back down to a lying position again. The butterflies scattered away as Snow fell about laughing. So much for the Disney princess graceful pose.
