Soul Calibur Scene: A Character sheet of the OCs introduced to the sequel I mentioned in the last chapter, as well as a scene involving one of them. After leading the less fortunate to asylum in the Free Imperial Center, Sonia gets into a verbal and physical altercation with Patroklos.

Sieglund Schtauffen

Being the Son of Siegfried and Hilde, you'd think that Sieglund would be honorable, just, and ever eager to improve. Well, he is all those to build on his already profound skill of Swordsmanship. Cocky wasn't one of the things I mentioned, but that's what Sieglund is. If not a little, then a lot. Somehow, he inherits Siegfried's sword skills and works as a soldier for Wolfkrone before going with his father to join Schwarzwind. Everyone except Hilde and Siegfried despises him for his skills as a soldier. He was up for promotion until the plot kicked in.

Shai Xiaolon

The oldest of the Xiaolon twins, Shai, like her sister Kai, takes her sense to do right in the world by her father. After this realization, she decided to train to become a monk-like Shun. When asked why she chose to use the Staff instead of the Nunchaku, she will reply: "I'm an extension of my father's road to redemption. Therefore, I use the Staff to purify his past." Shai takes her training seriously, and after being taught everything about the ways of a Monk, she takes her job seriously.

Kai Xiaolon

Despite being Shai's twin, Kai shared little of her father's beliefs and did things in her own way. Kalina, Shun, and even Shai herself understand her way of thinking and care for her regardless of what she can and can't do. Taking the Nunchaku as her weapon, Kai decided to travel the world with Shai. Whenever asked, she simply replies: "Someone has to keep her in line. Who better than her own flesh and blood?" Kai always says she's superior to her sister in combat even though Shai has handed her a fair share of losses.

Tomoe of the Manjitou

The daughter of the former thief, Kin, and Taki of the Fuma Ninja Clan, Tomoe decided to travel with her father. She became a Robin Hood-like figure like her adopted family, the Manjitou. She shares her father's love for money from when he was still a thief. Unless it's for the Manjitou, her mother, or Kin, she never does anything for free. To make sure people pay, she became pretty adept with a Dagger and Bomb combination.

Xero Shio

Xero grew to be an astounding swordsman, the son of Katti, and her world's Xan (Long story). The latter will later be given the mantle of guarding the Soul Swords after Katti retires from the role. Eventually, Xero lands in the world and meets the real world's Xan, losing his mind while causing a conflict for the heroes.

Sonia 'Boogie' Shio

Her real name is Sonia, but her parents called her Boogie from the way she moves around during a fight. What you think is the daughter of a now-legendary duelist, and a former Holy Warrior would mean she would be taught anything that didn't cause violence? How wrong you are, my friend. Boogie somehow took the peerless defense of her mother, Sophitia's fighting style. The high amounts of savagery using her father Xan's Hirazuki style combined them into one super style called the "Ballet Macabre." The weapon she uses is custom made that Cepheus himself created for her. Karasu, the first and only thick bladed doubled-edged Rapier so that she can slice, bash, and thrust without worry for her weapon's condition. After learning of her father's identity as an Edgemaster, she later trains to become one herself to protect her homes.

So this is Greece, a lot more rural than Japan.

The Army does an excellent job concealing their country's intention of war, especially in the Free Imperial City. They're a lot less judgemental here than in Athens. The Priest at the church is giving away free bread and water to the homeless and asked me to guide them there.

This is kinda boring.

I mean, it's honest, altruistic work. When Mom and Dad had Mr. Cepheus made Karasu and gave it to me before granting me permission to travel the world, I was expecting a lot more fighting. I've had my fair share of bouts, including the battles that got me into Schwarzwind. Mom talked about how dangerous the world was outside of Japan. I expected more confrontations because of my appearance.

Ah, who am I kidding? I love every second of it.

Anything is better than staying in Japan. Though I miss Mom and Dad, they taught me too much to not send me out into the world. Plus, while Mom wanted me to stay, Dad wanted me gone as he agreed with me. I feel like I'm actually doing something worth my time. Mom has always been protective of me since I was an infant because her first husband impregnated her twice. He then abandoned her and convinced her first two children to follow him after serving Soul Edge to keep her oldest alive. Despite everything she and her first husband went through, he left her in a heartbeat - heartless bastard.

She met Dad when he was traveling with Aunt Barbara, Aunt Taki, and Uncle Kin. Saved her and her daughter's life, in fact. Despite being married at the time, they got along well. After her old family abandoned her, it was him, and Aunt Taki who redeemed her. They conceived me shortly after marrying. They always looked so happy together. Going back to Osaka will be amazing, as I can tell them all the things that happened.

As I made my way to the Center, I see a homeless man getting harassed by another man. He clearly isn't struggling with the lynx coat, pronounced shield, and good hair. Well, I still got a job to do, so I push the blondie out of the way and started talking to the homeless man.

"Good morning. The Priest at the local church is giving out food and water to the less fortunate." I quickly skim and see that he's extremely skinny and sickly. "You look like you've been starved for days." I point at the cathedral. "Go before the other homeless people take all the food."

He nods frantically. "Thank you, young lady. Thank you so much."

Quickly, he shuffled to the church. From behind me, the blonde looked angry. Whatever, I couldn't care less.

I scratch my hair as my stomach rumbled. "Looks like my work here is done. Guess I should head back to Schwarzwind HQ and report to Mr. Siegfried."

"You! The one with the Rapier lodged in her back! Stop!"

I was wondering when a racist was going to call me out. It hasn't happened in my time in the city. I turn around to see my verbal attacker, the blonde who harassed the homeless man.

"Is there a problem?" I ask him politely.

"There is. You just let a malfested walk away to a holy location," he stated, his face stern.

"Malfested? I didn't see any from the moment I got to Greece, especially here in the Free Imperial City." I respond. The Army has done well keeping them and the Berserkers out. Unless he's talking about the homeless man. "Wait, you think he was a malfested?" I ask, stupified by his judgment of appearances.

"He is a malfested, woman. And you let him walk away," he answered, slightly annoyed as if I was the dumb one in the conversation.

"Listen, blondie. Just because someone is skinny and pale, doesn't make them a malfested. Not everyone can be as fortunate in life as you are, Mr. Lynx Coat." I say to him.

From my quick glance, I notice the crest on his chest, meaning he must be Athenian and a Holy Warrior in training. How could someone training to be a Holy Warrior be so… stupid?

I shrug before turning around. "Oh, well. I guess the folk in Athens are letting anyone be Holy Warriors nowadays. See ya later, blondie." I continue walking, thinking the conversation was over.

A flurry of footsteps overlapped mine. I turn around and see the blonde ready to swipe my head off. I jump and land on his blade with a two-footed releve. The gathering crowd "oooo" at my natural athleticism.

"What the!?" he said in shock of what just happened.

"Hey! Watch where you swing! You can hurt somebody!" I berate him. "You were going to kill me over a minor disagreement?"

"If you let that malfested walk away, then you're a part of the problem!"

"Someone is full of themselves. But if it's a fight you want, then let's give these people a show." I respond before reaching in my coat pocket for my face protector.

Putting it on, I backflip off of the blonde's sword with grace, earning some applause before unsheathing Karasu. Out of respect for my opponent, I bow. "Koun o inoru (I wish you good luck)."

"Saying I'm full of myself when you wear a face protector?"

"It's bad enough that I get bullied for being a swordswoman. I don't need being an Asian/European mix being added to that. So I wear a mask." I guess wearing a face protector doesn't matter since my eyes are green. But at least with it, passersby can think that I'm from England since my hair is light brown bordering auburn.

Blondie holds his sword arm behind him, keeping it suspended. Either he didn't want to risk me jumping on his blade again, or that's how he usually fights. If so, that must be hell on his right arm. I take Karasu and hold it parallel to my chest, keeping my feet light. Karasu can parry, but it can't clash, so I rely on dodges and parries for defense options.

He approaches using a vertical slash, but I dodge easily and retaliate with a kick that he blocks with his shield, pushing him back a bit. Okay, dodging won't work since he has protection, Boogie. New plan. He seems to put too much force into his attacks, and his movements are incredibly exaggerated. Putting the new plan into action, he came back on the offense, lightly parrying his moves.

"What are you doing? We're fighting, not dancing!" he complained as we briefly clashed.

"Oh, relax, blondie. I'm just getting started."

I rotate my blade while reversing my grip, knocking him off balance as he swung horizontally. I jump over it, and after changing my grip back to its original position, I draw first blood by swiping his face. I felt contact, but it wasn't deep, leaving a shallow cut on his nose's bridge. My spin gave me too much momentum on my landing, so I do a pirouette to balance myself.

"Still think I'm dancing?" I ask mockingly.

He grunts and starts swinging even more aggressively, but they were wild. I duck under and look up in time to see he quickly followed up with a vertical swing. I barely had enough time to backhand sprint out of the way. He was on me in no time, but now I gave myself enough breathing room to parry more efficiently.

Swing, swing, swing. I parry them all before eventually retaliating. He goes for a punch with his shield, and I counter by swiping his back three times. He staggered forward. He turned around, furious. Even through the face protector, he can see my competitive smile.

"Oop, you're not happy about that," I say with a cheeky grin.

Angrily, he goes for another vertical swing. However, I place the tip of Karasu under his shoulder, stopping his attack before pushing him away. Outclassed is what he is, and even he should know this by now.

Or so I thought.

He tried for one last swing, but I interrupt it, not even letting him complete the motion. I swipe his nose again before landing nasty swings on his upper chest, abdomen, and stomach. Deep tears were seen in his coat. I swipe his face one last time, using the moment for a half pirouette before hitting with a nasty tornado kick to disarm his sword.

Clean hit, leaving an imprint of my boot as he felled horribly on his side.

I land and stop my movements, throwing his blood off Karasu before putting it away and taking off my face protector. The now modestly-sized crowd applauds.

"Aha! Shobu ari (A victor has been decided)! Man, I haven't had this much since I beat up Sieglund," I proclaim.

Despite his disgusting attitude and foul temper, he wasn't so bad and reminded me of a more reckless Aunt Cass in terms of combat style. Now that I think about it, he looks a lot like her. Ah, it must be my mind playing tricks on me. I go to get some food since beating him up made me hungry.

As I leave the Center, I quickly make plans for after a small lunch break. Give my regards to the Priest, and then it's back Schwarzwind HQ to report to Mr. Siegfried. "I love it when a plan comes together."

A/N: I loved writing for Boogie. A shame she never got her own story, along with the other characters at the beginning. Maybe I'll come back to this colorful cast of characters later.

But for now, I have some Koncepts to write. I'll see you all soon.
