A/N: Now for the reason why I made this a story, to begin with. We're going to be venturing OUT of Game territory this go-round. And I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all. So I'll put this story in Moments of Inspiration and place in the piece of media where it originated. Here we go, enjoy!
DBZ Scene: Evi (Our resident heroine, and one of my DB OCs), after returning from training in seclusion for three years, explains how she did what Vegeta couldn't. Beat Android 18. All while explaining her bloodline to our audience.
While the brat and the giant checked up on the blonde, I give Vegeta a quick glance. "She was giving you problems? That wasn't hard at all. Beating up father was harder than this!"
17, I think his number was, got up frantically before screaming at me. "How in the hell did you beat 18!? Vegeta is much stronger than you, but you made her look like a rookie!"
I casually snort out some blood in my nostril before adjusting my glasses, 17 giving me a horrified look. "Because I don't play with my food as Vegeta does."
"But you're a Saiyan! You all play with your food!" He countered.
I scratched my ear lobe, annoyed that he's jumping conclusions. "An ignorant one, are you? Yeah, I am a Saiyan but also a hybrid, much like cousin Gohan. But I'm not human, though. I'm a Demon, a Tatakai Oni, specifically. The sister race to the Saiyans, in fact."
"A Tatakai Demon? How did Raditz, the weakest Saiyan in my platoon, impregnate a Tatakai Demon?" Vegeta asked, bewildered. "That explains you're abnormal power level. Yours far eclipsed Raditz's."
"He raped mom, that's how. He was abusive as you are arrogant," I shot back before refocusing on 17. "It's normally taboo for a Saiyan and a Tatakai Oni to sire children, but father never cared for rules. Anywho, legends state that Saiyan-Tatakoni hybrids are the most gifted fighters, with Saiyans and Tatakonis coming in second and third, respectively. It was as if she was destined to lose. It's fate."
"But you are a Saiyan! You're supposed to allow your Saiyan pride to overcome you when you face a good opponent!"
I check my teeth, each canine more pronounced than usual. It seems my body was enjoying itself, but my brain wasn't. And 17's ignorant claims were angering me, causing my other canines to extend past my lips.
"You want me to cave your face in too, brat!?" I yelled angrily at him before taking deep breaths to calm myself, my teeth retracting while my crimson red eyes dulled. "If I was full-blooded like Vegeta, then you would have a point. But I'm not, the Tatakoni blood in my veins gave me an evolved state of mind. I don't tease nor play around. That's a losing state of mind. If I want to win a match, I do it as quickly and efficiently as possible. So, I stomped your sister because I want to win! Because I'm a winner! Vegeta's state of mind is something I often call into question anyway. He wants to be the one to kill Uncle Goku so bad, but when someone else wants to do the same thing instead of being like me and taking no chances, he still toys with his enemies like they aren't. That's what gets him a Kamehameha to the face, death, or in this case, a busted arm. I don't do that, I get to the point. If the failure didn't beat around the bush and took #18 seriously, then he would've beaten her no problem. But Vegeta, like you, likes to jump to conclusions. He thought that being a Super Saiyan meant that he would be untouchable, but everyone's got a weakness. Insane powerup or not."
"You entitled little girl. Brand me a failure when you let weaker warriors step all over you until you grew a spine," Vegeta spoke up.
"Me? Entitled? Have you looked in a mirror lately? Your track record with our enemies is a lot worse than mine and Uncle Goku's. #18 broke your arm. I punched a hole in her chest, no Super Saiyan transformation needed. The Eight Gates and the Kaioken are all I need."
"What the hell is that technique anyway? Your data doesn't have that technique!"
"Oh, the Heat Phalanx? Well, it isn't mine. That and the Riot Javelin are my grandfather's. He taught them to me while I was in Other World after father killed me before succumbing to the Makankosappo. The only good thing that came out of me dying besides meeting grandpa Bardock and Grandma Gine, of course."
I eyed the now standing thanks to #16, #18. "How are we doing, blondie?"
She tried to get a response, but after moving to speak, she only coughed up blood. "Huh. I thought you would cough up oil being an android and all."
I scratched my wild mane with my left hand since my right has metal and shrapnel. "Man, taking all this metal out is going to suck."
Then, a bird flew on my right shoulder, making me smile. "Hey, buddy," I said to it, stroking its beak with my index finger. It then sat on my finger, my smile growing.
#16 calls me out. "You are a fan of the birds as well?"
That threw me off, jolting slightly. The bird flew away, and I frowned slightly. "She flew away. Anyway, I partake in ornithology when I rest from nearly killing myself in my training. Birds tend to keep me calm. Should've seen my face when Aunt Chi-Chi said that there's a job where I can guard the forests. I don't think I could've smiled any wider. After we deal with you three, I can start training to be a Park Ranger."
"Hmph. The most talented and prodigious fighter amongst us, and she wishes to do something as menial as being a Park Ranger," Vegeta muttered.
I felt my eye twitch. "You're still here!? Go fly somewhere and rest. Complaining and whining won't fix that broken arm, y'know!"
"Whatever. I won't forget this, Evi! I'll get you your due!" he swore before taking off.
"Spoiled little shit," I said to myself before ferociously getting back into position for another round of combat. "Now, which one of you wants to lose next? If given a choice, I want to fight the brat next."
"Brat? I'm older than you!"
"But I'm stronger; therefore, you are my son, Brat!" I insulted. "If you gotta problem with that, then hurry up and swing."
Provoking him will make 17 lose his focus. It would've worked, but #16 stopped him, unfortunately.
"17! We must focus on making sure 18 survives! The Heat Phalanx did a lot of damage to her restoration systems!" he reminded him.
Gritting his teeth, 17 wisely let it go. "This isn't over, Evi. When I get my hands on you, you'll feel the pain 18 feels now."
I relaxed my muscles. "Yeah, yeah. Better come at me with your all, or end up with more than a hole in your chest."
"Tch. Just you wait. Let's go, 16!" he called on the giant as both helped 18 to fly out of the wasteland.
I smiled and wave. "Make sure she doesn't end up with more holes, boys!" I said sarcastically while continuing to wave until they disappeared. I stifled my laughter. "I'm hysterical."
Afterward, I flew to the Kame House. Piccolo said that Uncle Goku and Aunt Chi-Chi were there instead of their house since the Androids invaded it. Hopefully, she has some spare clothes for me, as I don't want to continue fighting in Piccolo's duds.
"And that's what happened," I explained everything that happened on the road and my journey to Other World.
"Wow, Evi. I didn't think you would beat one of the Androids if Vegeta couldn't."
"He has a tendency to underestimate his opponent while overestimating himself. This has been a thing since he and Uncle first fought on Earth, with Frieza, and again with 18. Not surprisingly, he is the most entitled person I know."
"How did you know we were here, anyway?"
"I followed Uncle's screaming," I respond sarcastically.
It seems that it was only funny to me, Aunt Chi-Chi giving me a death stare. "It was a joke. Piccolo told me that Yamcha moved Uncle after his disease escalated. But I had to make sure Vegeta was still alive first. Kinda hoping he wasn't, sparing us all a headache." I glanced at my clothes. "Not hoping for it, but did you bring some spare clothes? My gi was tattered when I came back."
"No, but if you go back to our house, we should have some spare gis." I stood up from the couch and gave Aunt Chi-Chi a hug before turning to leave. "It was good to see you again, Evi. I'm happy that you're okay."
"It was good seeing you too, Auntie. I'll see you soon." I said before flying off to Uncle Goku's house.
When I got there, I quickly went into Uncle Goku's closet for some gis. Most of them were orange and blue. What was I expecting, Evi? I then got a Moment of Inspiration (Wink, Wink) I put on one of Uncle's gis but let the gi top hang over the obi, allowing the blue undershirt to show. I stretched out a bit. Not bad, a bit baggy for my tastes, but it's tighter than Piccolo's robes.
"I should ask Aunt Chi-Chi to teach me how to sew so I can make my own uniforms. Alright, better than nothing, I guess." I exit the house and head for Kami's Lookout to rendezvous with the others.
A/N: This concludes the introduction of Evi, the daughter of Raditz. She was introduced in the first episode of DBZ as his reluctant and defiant underling. Their relationship was so toxic that when he was on death's door, he killed her, sending both went to the Other World.
Raditz was sent to hell immediately, but Evi was given a second chance and was sent to Snake Way to train with King Kai and her Uncle, Goku. On the way, she got lost when Goku fell into hell. As a result, she met Bardock and Gine, her grandparents. After quickly bonding and learning Bardock's moves, she found her way back to Snake Way while she and Goku trained under King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory. From there, she would've been a steadfast character in the show or, in this story, settled as the center character/ heroine.
The outfit she left in would've been from the Cell Saga, the other being Bulma's Armor taken by Evi at her's, Goku's and Vegeta's request.
For the rest of Z and into Super, she wore a Ranger's uniform. Think of 17's Super outfit, the shirt faded blue. During fights, she takes her gloves off and keeps them strapped on the back of her jeans. Her hair is similar to Raditz while wearing prescription glasses that also doubles as a scouter. Her skin tone is tanned, her eyes a deep red.
The Tatakoni Race is a species I obviously made up. It's a combination of Tatakai, which is Japanese for fight, and Oni, which is demon. Tatakai, Oni, Tatakoni. The Tatakoni, like the Saiyans, are also a warrior race. Unlike them, the Tatakoni don't classify their own by innate power levels as they all train ruthlessly. Guess that's why Raditz was attracted to one before raping one of their strongest and impregnating her twice.
As a result of her origins and first ten years of life, Evi has a cynical, serious, angry, yet witty, sarcastic, and eager personality. As she grows and matures, her cynicism, serious tone, and anger fades. As she said in the excerpt, Ornithology, and Birds calm her down, which leads her to want to be a Park Ranger. She lives on Monster Island with 17, but in different parts.
In the original take, Evi was a crossover character who would be significant support in the Naruto verse during the three-year gap that Future Trunks predicted for the Androids to arrive. She would be a Jonin at 13 and learn how to open the Eight Gates. Since she isn't human, it won't harm her body.
Like a Saiyan loves to battle in a primal sense, Tatakoni do physically and mentally. The more she enjoys a battle, the more demonic she looks. Her eyes start to glow, her canines more pronounced as the rest of her teeth grow fangs. Horns also grow on her head. The same thing also happens when she's angry or takes part in more *ahem* - Base activities.
Anyway, I would tell you more about her, but this isn't the last we'll see of Evi the Saiyan, Tatakoni hybrid.
See you all soon.
