A/N: How about we showcase one of the other takes of Aki, shall we? Meet Yao, the Cream of the Crop of Hong Kong!

Street Fighter Scene: Yao fights one of the Lee Brothers. After dealing with him, he receives a visit from a World Warrior.

"(Don't forget to check the reports, nephew. We might be getting more ointments soon, and since you run the shop now, you have to go and check the docks if we are getting them.)" Uncle signed.

"(Jeez, Uncle Guai. I'm happy you let me run the shop and all, but this is a lot to pour on me. Can't you pace it a little slower? I just got used to the layout of where everything is.)"

"(We both know that pacing isn't my thing, Yao. At least I don't have to worry about your fighting ability. You're arguably the best martial artist in Hong Kong, which saves me the effort of teaching you. Other than the reports, that's the last you need to know. I'll leave you to it.)" Uncle Guai signed as he went upstairs.

I'm glad I came back when I did.

Uncle explained that our family is the only one in the marketplace that can fight, let alone practice martial arts. For generations, my family has defended this place from martial artists who terrorize shop clerks for lacking fighting ability. So we have to protect the site from those snooty punks hailing from the school district.

Hopefully, they don't bug the place today. It's my last day of probation, and I don't need to get into a fight if I don't have to. That'll risk me doing time, something I'm trying to avoid. Anyway, I finish placing the wine on its shelf and stand behind the clerk's table before reading the paper.

"The Lee and Long school rivalry further escalate; students from both schools found fighting all across Hong Kong..." I read to myself. "Oh, this isn't good. If those bratty twins cause trouble in the marketplace, there will be hell to pay."

I yawned, having been waken up by Uncle Guai that cut my sleepy time off. Must be the jetlag catching up to me. I wonder if someone in the marketplace sells coffee?

*Ding*

The bell I put on the table is already getting some use. Putting the paper down to see who the guest was, I hoped it was a customer. To my disappointment, it's one of the Lee twins. I sighed, disgusted by the guy.

"What do you want, kid?" I asked while continuing to read the paper.

"Is that how you treat a customer?" he asked in response.

"No, but I know you're not going to buy anything. Uncle Guai told me all about you." I give him a quick glance to see which twin it was. "What do you want, Yang?"

Yang got straight to the point. "They say you're the best fighter in Hong Kong."

"You heard correctly. Ask Fei Long, your brother, or Lee himself. Look, kid. I don't want to fight today. If you really want to battle, we can do so tomorrow. It's my last day of probation, and the last thing I need is to explain to my PO why I'm beating up an angsty teenager," I said calmly.

The punk then ripped the paper out of my hands before balling it up and tossing it outside. "You think I can't take you?"

I circled the clerk's table and got in his face, a small crowd forming outside the shop as I pointed to the door. "Get out of the store."

He threw a punch at my face, but I block it as he attempted another at my stomach. I intercepted it before harshly palming his cheek, the sound effect causing the crowd to 'oooh.' Yang pushed my palm off, persistently attempting to hit me. I continued to block and intercept his strikes until I used a shoulder with minimal force, barely pushing him back. The palm left an imprint on his cheek, and he was annoyed.

"What's the matter with you? I thought you were going to fight, but you haven't landed a single punch," I said to him, shrugging. "Come on, punk. You're scaring away the patrons.".

"Fine then, I won't hold back then."

Yang was back on me with a lunging punch. I grabbed his arm and pulled him forward, knocking him off balance. I tried landing a blow on his jaw, but he barely ducked despite his lack of balance. He attempted to kick me in the gut, but I blocked with my knee before grabbing his lower calf, throwing him up and backward as he landed on his stomach. I knew this wasn't over yet.

I step back to give him some space. "Stand the hell up, kid." I silently demand. He got up. "You alright, punk?"

"I'm fine."

"Good. Again, since you're not done yet," I stated before getting into the Xinyi Liuhe Quan stance for the first time during this exchange.

He scanned my positioning before getting into position. I cut his punch off with an elbow to the chest and knocked him off balance by kicking his feet. Yang nearly collided with some of the medicine.

I stopped him by grabbing his other foot. "Hey! Watch the medicine, punk!"

I pulled him off, and he retaliated with an overhead chop. I quickly pulled off a sequence of blocks before cutting off his punch with a circular motion. Using the momentum to punch his chin, I shifted our positions with a palm to his neck before dragging him down. Yang tried to grab my leg. I saw it coming, jabbing my thumb in the same spot where I hit his chin. He winced on reaction as I forced him to stand before grabbing his ear, flipping him back on the floor. During the exchange, I saw a flash of blue and yellow in the crowd.

Crap, my PO's here.

Now I have to come up with a solid enough excuse as to why I'm beating up a kid on my last day of probation. Ugh, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Anyway, Yang rose up before bumping into the Sake, but he rebalanced the vase before it fell.

"Watch the Sake, kid," I relaxed, thinking the battle is over.

Feeling on his ear, Yang pointed an accusatory finger at me. "What kind of Kung Fu is that?"

"For being Lee's nephew, you're pretty ignorant to the forms of Long Fist, kid. Are you done causing a scene yet?" I demeaned.

"No, we're not done yet."

Yang began swinging wildly, but I duck under his assault before stiffly kicking him in the stomach. Grabbing his arms, I kneed him in the face and stomped his foot. I gave another knee to his chin, and using the momentum, I slammed a fist in the back of his neck, causing him to fall hard.

He slowly got back up, writhing in pain from the fact that I hit him pretty hard. But I had to prove a point, and I was pissed.

"What form of Long Fist is that?" he asked, feeling his many bruises.

"Xinyi Liuhe Quan, the oldest documented form of Long Fist, and simpler brother of Xingyi Quan. More ruthless, streamlined, and straight forward than the other forms of Long Fist. Ask your uncle about me, kid. My uncle and I were beating up your uncles from when I was a kid."

I grabbed his shirt and got in his face. "I'm telling you this once. If you or your rivals cause trouble in the marketplace, I will find and beat the hell out of you. Keep your problems in the school district. You wouldn't be this rowdy if Fei Long was still here. Are we understood?"

He nodded frantically before I pushed him off. "Good. Now beat it."

Yang ran out of the store in a hurry. The crowd clapped at what just happened.

I calmed the group down. "Alright, fights done. If you're not going to buy something, go away!"

The crowd dispersed before I checked on the inventory to see if anything was damaged.

"I know you were an amazing martial artist, but that was another level of mastery."

I turned around to see my PO approach. "Good morning to you too, Chun."

The Legendary Legs of Interpol, Chun Li, smiled at me.

Seeing there was no damage to the herbs and medicines, I walked back to the clerk's table and sat down. "You're back earlier than expected. I can explain what happened."

"No need, I saw the whole exchange. It was self-defense but could also be considered schooling. Poor Yang, you made him look like an idiot. As for my being here, you said it yourself. It's your last day of probation. You're a free man, and Hong Kong PD will know too when I tell them. I always knew you had a good heart, but you have too much honor for your own good. Owing to the leader of a Crime Boss? And paying it? That's too much, Yao."

"I owed Belger and paid him back. Didn't mean I have to like it. The moment I got beat up by Cody, Guy, and Haggar, I booked the first flight back to Hong Kong. You know that."

"That I did - shame on me for asking. You got a minute to talk? I don't feel like going to the Police Office just yet; it's still early."

"Since we're already talking and I think that little fight scared the normals today, what the hell." I leaned in. "What's up?"

"Cammy's awake as a light amnesiac but remembers you bringing her to Delta Red. She's still in recovery but will be up and about at some point. Between us, she knows where you are, and there's a high chance she'll come and see you."

That got my attention. "She's a tough girl, Chun. But you knew that already. I guess I should be counting down the days. What about you? You may be my PO, but you're still a good friend. You holding up well? Hasn't been so long since we destroyed the Psycho Drive in Columbia."

"Uh-huh. They moved me up, so now I'm directly investigating Shadaloo. Turns out they're rounding up fighters for the second World Warrior tournament. They sent me an invitation the other day along with Cammy. I'm surprised they didn't send you one yet."

"Is she going to enter?"

"She's unsure. We'll give Cammy a little bit for her memories to return."

We heard a knocking sound and turn to the stairs to see Uncle Guai. "(Yao. What was happening? I felt it from upstairs.)" Uncle signed.

"(Nothing important, Uncle. Just an upstart punk who wanted to fight. I dealt with him.)" I signed back at him.

"Who is he?"

"That's my Uncle Guai," I answered. "Say hello if you can use sign language."

"(Good morning, Mr. Guai. I'm Chun Li, Yao's PO and friend.)"

Uncle Guai looked surprised. "(You can sign?)"

"(Enough to hold a basic conversation.)"

I stretched out and yawn.

"(Well, if that is all, I'll be heading upstairs if you need me.)" Uncle Guai said to me as he went retired for the night.

"He's the one who taught you?"

"Yup. Despite being deaf, he defended the marketplace while I was in Metro City. Handed me my ass many times," I responded. "My family's been running the store and defending the marketplace for generations. It would've been my father's turn, but he died when I was young. Mom fled to Japan because sexism is still a problem here. So it fell to Uncle, and when I came back, it fell to me."

"Well, I'll go to the PD now. Next time I see you, I'll be either a customer, enjoying another conversation, or updating you on Cammy's condition. It was fun being your PO."

"I wish I could say the same, Chun. Being on probation was hell."

"You're funny, Yao. I'll see you later." She kissed me on the cheek before leaving the shop.

I go to get another newspaper, and the mailman came up to me on the way back. "Yao! Here's your mail for today."

"Thanks." I checked the letters, and one of them caught my eye. Spoke it into existence - a letter from Shadaloo, the Skull symbol on the back of the envelope. I ripped it open.

"If you're reading this, then you have been recognized as a master martial artist. We are extending an invitation to the Second World Warrior Tournament. Winner will receive a prize pool of their respective country's equivalent of $10,000,000. We hope to see you there."

Things just got more interesting.

A/N: What'd you guys think of Yao? I modeled the scene of him and Yang after a fight scene in a particular Ip Man film. However, I changed the behavior of the characters and their relationship. I hoped you all enjoyed it.

I'll see you guys soon.
