A/N: Moments of Inspiration is quickly becoming my best idea yet.
My writing interest stays fresh; you as the readers get more content, and I can introduce some lost OCs serving as what-ifs with my established ones. And now, we're going to dive deep into how I write certain scenes.
This scene will once again involve Tea and Koga. Since this is still a Moment of Inspiration, this will be an AU and will have nothing to do with the previous MoIs. Alright, enough exposition.
Smash Bros. Scene: The first of what I call the Anatomy of a Scene. Two separate excerpts of Tea and Koga seducing Excella Gionne from RE 5, and by extension, turning her over from the dark side.
You're all well acquainted with Tara or Tea as I like to call her. The younger, livelier, vulgar twin, she's also blunt to a fault. Never does she sugarcoat things, getting right to the meat and potatoes of whatever needs to be done, the main point of a conversation, etc. Subtlety is not her thing. If she wants something, consider it taken. That's a point both her and Koga share, yet their methods differentiate.
Let's see how she gets her pull romance wise.
I smell a scandal. Man, the second I introduce these files to Chris and Sheva, even Umbrella will wince at the level of outrage even in its shallow-ass grave. It'll be the cherry atop this shitshow of a sundae to wipe that stupid smirk off Wesker's face.
"Tara, someone is coming up to this floor!" Tael frantically told me, flying around like he was on a sugar rush.
I hear faint footsteps in the background and took out my gourd before chucking sand all over the room. As I finish transferring the information onto the flash drive, I quickly place it inside my coat pocket.
"Doesn't matter, Tael. I got what I needed. Let's see which idiot falls into this trap. Kinda hopin' it's Wesker so I can show him how screwed he is." I tell my Fairy. "Go back inside my coat pocket, I'm not going to risk you getting hurt."
He silently agrees and flies back into my coat. The footsteps became distinctive the louder they grew.
Heels.
Ooh, a woman is comin', eh? Hopefully, it's that cute scientist working with Wesker or maybe that hot double agent, Ada. The options. The figure revealed herself, the former. Perfect.
My mouth subconsciously formed a smirk.
"I was wonderin' who would be lurkin' around the area." I appear and lean on the desk with the computer, just as she pulled out and aimed her pistol at me. "What's a cute little scientist like yourself doin' here?"
"You were the one who killed all those soldiers on the bottom floors?" she asks, ready to pull the trigger.
I shrug nonchalantly. "I may be a pretty face, sweetie, but if someone gotta die, bodies will fall." Confidently, I began walking toward her. "I'm surprised Wesker sent ya by yourself."
"Do not move! I will shoot!" Excella warned.
"Ooh, I'm so scared," I retort with a snicker. "Do you really think Wesker is gonna let you be a part of his New World as he so preaches? People with a God Complex like that? They're only in it for themselves, beautiful. The moment you stop bein' useful..." I outline my throat being cut by my thumb. "You'll be occupying a coffin, or worse, end up bein' a test subject for Uroboros. You should high tail it before either one of those happens."
I continue to close the distance between us. Before Excella can fire her gun, I use the sand on the floor to grab and disarm her, tossing the gun out of her reach.
"Seems like you're still havin' delusions of grandeur. Here, let me help you see the light, cutie," I say.
Grabbing a tape recorder, I held it in front of Excella's face as it began playing.
"The final stages of the Uroboros project is drawing near. Soon the world will grovel at my feet."
"What about Excella, Dr. Wesker?"
Wesker laughs at the question, Excella's face cringing in shock.
"Ms. Gionne has proven more than reliable but has no use to me anymore. Upon completion, she will be used as the test subject for Aheri. Chris will most likely kill her, but it will be for the greater good."
The tape stops, my smirk failing to disappear. "See? I was on the rupee. He was going to have you killed."
After that statement, I began cleaning up the sand and place it back in my gourd.
Excella didn't betray her look of defeat. "Just get out of here. You have what you want. Wesker's career as a researcher is over with the information you have and then some."
Before she knew it, I was directly in front of her, my gold irises placing a visual vice grip on her hazel pools.
"You're right, Excella. I got what Chris wanted. But as for what I want, I'm staring right at it."
Excella's eyes widen as I reveal my sexual attraction to her. She froze in place, eyes failing to leave mine. I ensnare her hip to pull her closer to me, slightly surprised that she didn't offer any resistance. Although, her expression was certainly of one who wanted to. But she couldn't bring herself to. Her punch became a caress on my abs, a slap turning into a stroke of my cheek. My eyes gaze sharply at Excella Gionne, my newest acquisition. She blushes madly while averting eye contact after mentally giving in to me.
"I- I'm not into women," Excella tries but fails spectacularly to weasel away.
I laugh softly. "Not yet, you aren't."
My lips ensnare her top lip with a teasing peck. Excella's eyes glaze over as she bit her lip before, without pause, responding with a hungry kiss.
"Who's my woman now?" I moan the question in her ear.
"I'm your woman now."
"That's my girl."
Well, that was something. But you get the direction this went, right?
If it feels like Excella was trapped, then I did my job. When pursuing a romantic interest (Or a one night stand, depending on who it is), Tea acts as a predator and her soon to be partner is the prey. But Excella didn't feel that way. To her, it probably felt like a revelation. Her eyes were opened to a big truth. Now, let's rewind the clock to the beginning of the scene, and replace Tea with Koga.
Koga is more secluded, easy-going, and merciful than his little sister. He only tells the other person what he thinks they need to know. It takes a certain amount of trust for him to pour his heart out to anyone. Consider yourself special if he does so to you. He also doesn't get as many women as Tea due to a lack of trying. However, if you recall in the first two MoIs, he would've ended up Tifa Lockhart or Samus if you read UA before its deletion. In both stories, Zelda was his ex-girlfriend. Automatically, his romantic partners are held to an incredibly high standard.
Let's see how this goes with him in Tea's shoes.
The clock is windin' down for Albert Wesker. This information transferred from the laptop has so much dirt, you'd drown it with a hose. It seems that Tea and my job here is closing up. All I gotta do now is give this to Chris and Sheva. Then we can go back home.
"Well, partner. It's starting to sound like another job well done. Just get that drive to Chris and Sheva, and we'll be done," Tatl says.
"Practically read my mind. A scandal will be the least of Wesker's trouble when I get this to the BSAA," I reply before grabbing the drive, placing it in my coat pocket.
As I did so, we hear footsteps. "What? But I killed everyone here."
"Maybe Wesker sent someone after you? He may be a piece of trash, but he's smarter than he looks. The opposite can be a possibility too."
"Unless it's Ada. She's kind of a wild card that can't be trusted. Josh, Chris, Sheva, or Jill would be some good news," I list the potential allies since we got hired.
When we heard the sound of heels, I knew who was here. "Tatl, get in my coat."
She flies back in my coat without argument.
The stranger is revealed to be Excella Gionne, a beautiful woman if I ever saw one and ridiculously smart to boot. It's a shame she isn't using her intelligence for the world's benefit instead of wild fantasies. Not that it matters. I have what I need to dissuade her from working with Wesker.
"You? You killed all of those soldiers down there?" Excella asks, her pistol aimed at me.
I put my hands up. "Relax, I mean no harm. But pull that trigger and risk getting crippled. Wesker sent you?"
"Yes, Detective." She cautiously inches closer. "I will need that flash drive. It'll ruin him."
"I'd do nearly anythin' else for you, but I have a job to do as well. Besides, what's the point of supporting a sociopathic man like Wesker, hmm? He'll only kill you once your usefulness ends. I've seen men like him who think of themselves as a God. It won't end well for him, I can assure you. And it certainly won't end well for you either. He's manipulating you, and I have proof," I say without moving.
"Then let's see it, Detective," she offers, refusing to put the gun down. "Because otherwise, I will shoot you down for Albert and be his Queen."
I motion for my pocket. "May I?"
Excella gave a small smile. "You may."
Good, she's easing up. I got her right where I want before taking out a tape recorder, pushing on the play button.
And the tape stops, Excella lowers her pistol in a mental defeat.
"Aheri, from what Agent Alomar tells me, means I love you in Dholuo. Not only did Wesker play you, but he also planned on weaponizing your flirtations. Thus, turning you into an Uroboros Monster," I explain while putting the tape recorder away.
Without an ounce of fear, I confiscate her pistol and place it on the desk out of reach. "Leave him, or else heartbreak will be the least of your worries."
Her eyes stare deep into mine. "You've been scarred by those you loved as well. Your eyes are hardened in more ways than one. It was Valentine, wasn't it?"
"As much as I would love to be with Jill, her heart belongs to Chris. I've already accepted that reality, but it doesn't make it easier to deal with. But now you know I feel the same as you, that I'm thinking with your best interest at heart. You're a smart woman and definitely a head-turner. Think of all the good you can do with that combination."
Excella blushes at my compliments, averting her gaze while smiling like a lovestruck teen. "Like you? You're certainly better looking than Agent Redfield." She returned the compliments, making me smile warmly at her. "Go. Expose Albert to the world. That information you have on that drive can do that and more."
"Agreed." I close the distance, a new hope appearing in Excella's eyes. "But, I'm not leaving here without you. I'm not saying I have to be your final stop, but we both know I'm a better option than Wesker and a good first step in the right direction."
She held out her hand at me. "Please, you may call me Excella."
I take and kiss her palm. "Nice to meet you, Excella. I am Koga."
Excella blushes even heavier at my gesture before embracing me. "Well, then, Koga." She kisses my cheek. "Let's stay like this for a little bit longer. Your embrace is so inviting."
She spoke all poetic like, which made me laugh lightly as I kiss her forehead, returning her sentiments. "Exposing Wesker can wait a few more minutes."
Excella moaned in my ear. "Mmmm. Yes, it can."
And that's Koga's version. His non-violent, infectious charisma and genuine skill in his profession would've scored him the girl and a job well done. But Koga had his heartbroken by Jill. That would've been key into turning Excella away from Wesker, a point of mutualism.
Koga rarely engages in one night stands as opposed to Tea, so he ends up with more stable relationships than his younger twin. But he ends up with the short end of the stick if it doesn't work out. If you paid attention, he didn't tell Excella about what happened with Jill as she figured that out herself and used that as the gateway. That ties into what I said about him earlier. He isn't stupid.
If you figure out something that happens to him, he clears the air, precisely what happened. When he made her realize they were similar in the only aspect that mattered, he caught her.
Hook, line, sinker.
A/N: What did you all think of Anatomy of a Scene? Let me know with a PM and or Review. I had fun writing this, and it was indeed a Moment of Inspiration as I came up with the idea this afternoon. Maybe I'll do more of these with some of my other OCs.
See you guys soon.
