Wind's POV

The next morning it took quite some convincing to wake Sky up. As usual.

The others seemed amused at a chore we do every f**king day.

When we got the skyloftian up, we continued on our way to Rito Village. I hoped that we would be reunited with the others soon.

A few days later we arrived in the Tabantha region.

A massive snow storm raged over the surrounding area. Link and Warriors volunteered to scout ahead for any sign of danger while the rest of us hung back.

We were just outside the borders of the blizzard, and I still didn't like it.

I grew up on a tropical island. I didn't even know what snow even was before I was sent on this goddess-forsaken quest!

I took Sky's sailcloth and wrapped it around myself, hoping for some warmth as I huddled close to the fire.

A few people looked at me strangely and I glared right back at them.

I couldn't help but worry about Warriors. What if he got lost in the snow? What if something happened to him and we didn't know?

I could tell Sky was worried too. All of us Links are like a big family. We're like brothers. I couldn't imagine a life without them.

I let my mind wander off to what the others might be doing. Whether they were still worried or now scared at our disappearances.

Then a scuttling sound came out of the storm. The small egg-shaped guardian came into our camp.

He beeped and whistled urgently at us while pointing into the storm.

"The boys are in trouble." Zelda translated. "They need our help!"

Immediately Sky and I grabbed our swords and charged into the general direction of Rito Village. Sky finds a way to tie his sailcloth around me to help block out the cold. It really doesn't help, but that's not the main problem.

I heard the clanking of metal behind us, suggesting that our allies were following.

Soon I saw a giant spire reaching up and into the sky. It looked weird without the giant mechanical bird perched on top of it, but it was still the same column that Rito Village was built around.

When we were almost to the bridge a figure dropped down in front of us.

He raised his head and stared us in the eye.

He was a Rito.

Our friends caught up to us in a few minutes and paused when they noticed the Rito.

"Trespassers." The Rito growled. "Begone."

I looked at Sky. Sky looked at me.

"We're not leaving until we find our friends." I said.

The Rito growled again. A strange noise coming from a bird.

"We don't want any trouble." Sky spoke soothingly. "We'll find our friends and talk to Revali, and then we'll be out of your hai-feathers."

The Rito looked at us skeptically. "I am not allowed to let any possible threats in."

"I promise you, we are not threats." Sky said. "But our friends can be once he gets either mad or worried. Just let us take him and Link and then we'll be done here."

I, for one, believed Sky and thought he was very convincing since we weren't threats. But the Rito didn't believe us. Now we're fighting through hordes of giant man-birds while trying to locate Revali and our friends.

Sky and I didn't want to hurt them, so we went easy; no killing blows.

The Rito didn't have such mercy.

Not even halfway through the battle, my shield was filled with arrows.

We located Link and Warriors quickly. Then we continued to fight our way to the village, hoping that Revali was there.

The mini guardian had fallen into line behind Link. But hid whenever he went into a keep that wasn't ours.

We had to float on updrafts to get to the village.

I used my deku leaf, Sky his sailcloth (which I took back immediately), and Warriors used his long fancy scarf.

After what seemed like hours of fighting, we neared the entrance of Rito village.

Standing there, waiting for us, was a Rito with navy feathers. Four braids hanging from the back of his head dangled in the wind.

He didn't wear the same scarf as he did in Wild's picture of him, but I was certain. This was Revali.

Revali immediately engaged us in another battle. I groaned as he flew out of reach for our swords.

But then I got an idea.

I pressed myself into a corner, hoping that Revali would leave me alone if I did.

I got some questioning and worrying looks from the others, but I ignored them.

I took out my Wind water and Sky and Warriors knew my plan.

I waited for Revali to go back into the air and then I waved my baton.

I changed the wind direction, taking it right from under Revali's wings. He fell to the ground at my feet.

My brother and I pointed out swords at him, pinning him to the ground.

The others were examining the air in confusion, wondering how the wind could change so suddenly. I smirked as Revali surrendered.

We had moved to the flight range, which wasn't any warmer than Rito Village. I took Warriors' scarf and wrapped it around myself with Sky's sailcloth.

Revali and the others looked down at me in amusement. I just stuck out my tongue at them.

Revali told us that Rito Village had been attacked by monsters led by a little black guardian that looked like ours.

I suddenly understood why they were so tense.

"I understand the situation now." The Princess voiced my thoughts. She was wearing her warm traveling clothes. Lucky.

She looked over at Link, who was looking at Revali.

"I'm thankful no harm befell you. Either of you." She continued.

"Pardon me…" Impa spoke up. "But we must address the gravity of there being another Guardian resembling the Little One, your Highness."

"Yes…" Zelda mused. "If it is in some way connected to the Calamity, we must swiftly come up with a strategy."

"Our with it." Revali said. "We both know you'll be needing my unique skills…to pilot that Divine Beast. Hm?"

"He's more obnoxious than Wild said he was." I whispered to Warriors and Sky.

"Wild said he changed after his death." Warriors whispered back.

"He also missed him." Sky reasoned.

"I wonder why." I said sarcastically.

"However!" Revali exclaimed, regaining their attention as he walked up to Link. "About this pathetic Knight in your service…"

I growled under my breath.

"Are you sure he's got what it takes?" Revali asked as Link stared him down.

A whistle came from between them. Link and Revali stumbled back in surprise. The guardian beeped and whistled at them.

"What the—" Revali said.

Impa kneeled down in front of the guardian. "Oh, I see. Our friend believes itself to be a Knight as well, in service of the Princess."

Said Princess giggled.

"It whaaat?" Revali gaped.

I laughed at this face.

"Ugh. Ridiculous. Every last one of you." Revali said, one wing on his hip, the other in the air.

I laughed harder.
