Chizuru POV

It had been almost a year since i joined the Shinsengumi and it's been nice, even though i still haven't found anything out about my father, i was on my way to the common room with a tray full of tea for the captains "excuse me" i say as i open the door and see everyone smiling at me i start to hand out the tea Kondo says " ah thank you Chizuru-chan" as i go to give Sanosuke the last cup of tea he smiles at me and i blush "thanks Chizuru" he says in his sweet gentle voice "y..your welcome"Okita-san spoke up "why don't you two go get a room" he says with a smirk i turned red and looked down while Sanosuke looked up " Shoji just because me and Chizuru are togather dosen't mean you can make fun of us and upset her" i spoke up " no it's okay really" Sanosuke looked at me sadly and calmed down "eh am" the devil vice-captain got everyones attention " i want to remind all of you to be careful on patrol there have been more reports of ronin lately thats all" as everyone walked out of the room i waited for Sanosuke because it was time for patrol. Twenty minutes later in the streets of Kyoto. We were walking when we heard fighting and yelling come from up ahead. Sanosuke looked at me "Stay here Chizuru, I'll be right back" he said as he and all of his men took off running while I was waiting in between stores someone grabbed me from behind and pulled me into a dark alleyway I tried to scream but was stopped by the voice that i heard "don't make a peep" it was Shiranui fear struck me as he pulled me further into the alley "what are you doing" I asked when he threw me to the ground a big smirk formed on his face " well I wanted to have some fun now stay still and enjoy it" he held a knife to my throat so I wouldn't scream, I was too scared to move.

Sanoske's POV

Chizuru, where are you? I thought "Captain," one of my men said approaching me "Did you find her," I asked, all of my men shook their heads "Okay go back to headquarters, all of you I'll be a little longer" they looked at their captain sadly but did what he said and left. Sanosuke became genuinely worried and continued to look.

Chizuru POV

When he finished he left me there with my clothes torn, once I knew he was gone I tried to move but found I couldn't because I was scared and in pain I started to cry hoping someone would find me.

Sanosuke was about to think she went back to the base when he heard crying. He knew that voice and ran toward it going down a dark alley, the sight before his eyes broke his heart, there on the ground was the love of his life crying with her clothes completely shredded he walked up to her helping her sit up "Chizuru who did this to you"I looked up at Sanosuke and tried to speak S.. Shiranui h...he raped me" Sanosuke felt his anger rise but he knew he had to get Chizuru home safe, he took his coat off and wrapped it around her then picked her up bridal style as he started walking back to headquarters with her in his arms she curled up against him. When they got there, the first person to see them was Yamazaki. He asked, "What happened?" When he learned, he went and gathered the other captains. At the same time, Sanosuke took Chizuru to their room and helped her put clean clothes on then he tucked her into their futon " Get some rest we'll have Yamazaki look at you in the morning" he said "thank you Sanosuke I love you" he smiled at me as he left "I love you too goodnight" he closed their door and left with a look on his face that could kill a man.

Normal POV

As soon as Sanosuke walked into the common room every one of the captains looked up with worry on their faces Sanosuke sat down and started to speak "Chizuru was raped while we were on patrol" Everyone looked at him with shock and a hint of anger Saitou was the first to break the silence "do we know who did it ?" everyone looked back to Sanosuke " that bastard shiranui and its all my fault i wasn't there to protect her i left her alone I COULD HAVE STOPED HIM!" Sanosuke slammed his fist into the floor. Everyone was scared to see their friend like this. Kondou spoke, "Sanoske, calm down It's not your fault now. How is Chizuru doing?" "I helped her change into new clothes and put her to bed " Hijikata spoke next "Yamazaki" At the sound of his name Yamazaki looked up "Yes sir" Hijikata spoke "In the morning please look at Chizuru Doctor Matsumoto is in edo at the moment so you're the only one around with medical experience" he nods "of course sir" Sanosuke stood up "I'm going out to look for HIM" Hijikata speaks up "Sanosuke stop you can't do anything tonight we all know you love chizuru but..." hijikata was cut off "SO WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO JU..JUST WAIT HERE I NEED TO FIND THAT BASTARD AND KILL HIM!" Kondo spoke after Sanosuke was done yelling "We know but you need to be here when Chizuru wakes up now why don't you go back to your shared room and get some sleep we'll start looking for him in the morning" Sanosuke relented "alright" he walked out of the room to their bedroom he just stood there for a minute looking at Chizuru with a sad look on his face "I'm so sorry Chizuru for now on I'll never let anyone hurt you again I promise" he crawled into the futon next to her and she curled up to him closer as he fell asleep with her in his arms.
