I BECOME SUPREME LORD OF THE BATHROOM
"What kind of title is that?" Jason asks.
Clarisse looks over at Percy. "Are you serious?"
"I have no regrets." Percy says smiling.
Clarisse just rolls her eyes, knowing that what was going to happen was mostly her fault.
Once I got … I trusted his front.
Leo and the Stolls roared with laughter.
"Oh, if you'd done it you wouldn't either." Percy says pointing at them.
"I don't doubt it." Travis says still laughing anyway.
We passed the … said, "That's him."
The demigods that were there looked guilty.
"Sorry Perce."
"You guys are fine." Percy waves. "Don't worry about it."
Most of the campers …shaggy hindquarters.
"I still can't get over the fact that they're useful." Hazel says.
"Right!?" Frank agrees.
I wasn't … flip or something.
"Can you do a flip?" Apollo asks.
Percy sighs but nods.
"Show us!"
"Later." Percy says, hoping he'd forget.
I looked back … was being watched.
Thalia shivers. "Hated that thing."
"Especially it's little trip." Annabeth agrees.
Everyone else looked confused.
"It's not supposed to move!" Apollo says.
"Oh, you'll figure it out." Thalia waves.
"What's up there?" I asked Chiron.
He looked where I was pointing, and his smile faded. "Just the attic."
"Liar." Clarisse says.
"Somebody lives there?"
"No," he said with finality. "Not a single living thing."
"Well… not a complete lie." Clarisse amends.
I got the feeling he was being truthful. But I was also sure something had moved that curtain.
"Even then?" Annabeth asked.
"I guess so." Percy says.
"Come along, Percy," … almost no effort."
"That's actually very smart." Jason says
He said Mr. D …strawberries instead.
Said god hmphed. Strawberries were good he guessed.
I watched the …of magic with music.
"He can now!" Percy says proudly.
"Shut up." Grover says blushing.
I wondered if he … good protector. Really."
Grover blushed harder.
"It's the truth goat man." Percy says.
"He's right." Thalia backs up.
Grover hid his face in his hands.
Chiron sighed… to Half-Blood Hill."
"He did that!" yelled the demigods who didn't know his story.
"But he did that!" … courage on Grover's part."
"Stupid fat old satyrs." Percy grumbles. "Except Leneus. He was cool."
Annabeth snorted.
I wanted to protest… gotten in trouble.
Grover whacked Percy on the back of the head. "I honestly should have seen it coming knowing you."
"He'll get a …"Oh, twenty-eight."
Everyone looked to Grover.
"You don't look twenty-eight." Piper tells him.
"Well I'd actually be 32 now." Grover says.
"Satyrs are weird." Hermes whispers.
"What! And … the past six years."
"Oh, that's unfortunate." Hades says. "Middle schoolers are vicious."
"Nah they like to think they can fight." Ares grins.
Aphrodite smacked his shoulder.
"That's horrible." … some other career..."
Grover snorted. "As if."
"And you did it!" Percy says.
"That's not fair," I said. "What happened the first time? Was it really so bad?"
Zeus nodded. "Yes."
"Calm brother. Your daughter is fine." Poseidon says, feeling relaxed since the book started. Nothing dangerous was happening right now. He knew it wouldn't last though.
Chiron looked away quickly… forming in my mind.
Everyone looked to Percy.
"Please tell me you're not thinking of what I thinking you are." Poseidon says.
Percy doesn't say anything to that. His dad just groans.
"I'm not looking forward to this." Hades muttered, eyeing his brother warily.
"So early?" Annabeth asked.
Percy nodded and sighed. "Yeah."
"Chiron," I said. …expression darkened.
"Even Chiron had an idea of what you were planning." Annabeth says.
"Yes, child… put that out of your mind."
"You didn't did you." Hades states.
"Sorry Uncle." Percy smiles.
"What do you mean, 'until we know more'?"
"Come, Percy. Let's see the woods."
"He's not very good at subject changing is he." Athena remarks.
"We're on it!" The Stolls say.
As we got closer, … luck, but go armed."
"It's a good place to blow off steam." Percy says.
"So that's where you go when you're stressed." Will says. "And then you come to me."
"That was a secret!" Percy says.
"It's not now." Annabeth says. "You could get hurt."
"I don't." Percy says.
"I beg to differ." Will butts in.
"Will!"
Piper started reading before an actual argument started.
"Stocked with what… the armory later."
"You looked ridiculous Prissy." Clarissa mocked.
Percy just stuck his tongue out at her.
I wanted to … sword and spear fights.
"Those are the best." Clarisse says.
"You're right on one thing." Percy agrees.
"Spar later?"
"You're on."
Ares looked excited at the prospect of a fight.
Percy's face lit up with an idea. He turned to the others.
"Thals, Nico, Jason, Hazel. Us five. Big three fight. May the best god win."
The other five smirked.
"You're on."
The mentioned big three looked to each other. This could be interesting… or destructive. Ares just looked more excited. The other gods looks mildly concerned.
"This is going to be terrifying." Katie says.
"You got that right." Connor laughs.
Will sighs. "I'll be on standby. Like usual."
"Sword and spear fights… the mess hall."
"Usually." Demeter sniffs unapprovingly. "Cereal will fix that."
No one said anything not sure if she was disapproving of the fights or that there weren't more deaths.
Piper started reading again after a moment of awkward silence.
Chiron pointed … it rains?" I asked.
"It doesn't rain there boy." Zeus grumbles.
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover look to each other.
"Sure." Percy says.
Dionysus looked up briefly sensing that something had happened. Why had it rained in the camp?
Chiron looked at me ... buildings I'd ever seen.
"Excuse me?" Hera asked glaring.
Annabeth just rolled her eyes.
Except for the … Number nine had smokestacks, like a tiny factory.
Hephaestus smiled at the mention of his cabin. He was proud of his kids. He glanced up at Leo's smiling face as he cheered for his cabin. This one was special.
Number four had tomato vines on the walls and a roof made out of real grass.
Katie smiled at her cabin. It was home.
Seven seemed to be made of solid gold, which gleamed so much in the sunlight it was almost impossible to look at.
"Best cabin!" Will announces. Apollo cheered in agreement.
They all faced … the flames, poking the coals with a stick.
Percy looked to the fireplace behind the gods and smiled at the goddess, who smiled back at him. The room felt warmer for a moment, everyone looking more relaxed.
Hestia was content not being seen and making sure things stayed peaceful. It was an interesting story to listen to after all.
The pair of cabins … images of peacocks.
Hera looked proud at the mention of her and her husbands' cabin.
Thalia and Jason looked uncomfortable. The Zeus cabin wasn't really home for them.
"Zeus and Hera?" I guessed.
"Correct," Chiron said.
"Their cabins look empty."
"As they should be." Hera glared.
Percy glared right back without fear.
"Several of the … god, like a mascot.
"I've never thought of it like that." Hermes said. "But it's accurate."
Twelve cabins … left, cabin three.
Percy smiled sadly. He missed his cabin. It was his second home and he hadn't been to either home in months.
Poseidon smiled as well; he liked his cabin. When he looked at Percy's sad face, he wondered just what was going on in his son's life to make him so sad.
It wasn't high and … of the ocean floor.
"They were." Poseidon says.
"Coooool." Leo gasps. Then smiles. "Hephaestus is still better though."
Poseidon nodded. "I suppose. We don't have hidden floors or tunnels."
"You have tunnels?" Nico asked.
"Nope." Leo says smiling.
"I could make tunnels." Nico mutters to himself.
I peeked inside the open doorway and Chiron said, "Oh, I wouldn't do that!"
Let him in Poseidon thought It's calling to him.
Before he … sheets turned down.
"Nicer than the Zeus cabin." Thalia says.
"You right." Percy says thinking of the cold empty cabin.
"You're all welcome in cabin three." Poseidon smiles at his son's friends. If Percy trusted them he would to.
A chorus of demigod children's voices rang out. "Thank you!"
But there was no … crowded with campers.
Travis and Connor groaned. "I'm so glad about what you did Perce."
"It wasn't a big deal." Percy assured them.
"You gave up immortality for it. It kind of was a big deal." Annabeth whispered to him as the others who were there looked at him like he'd grown a second head.
Number five was …seemed to follow me.
Ares sneered. His cabin was awesome.
Inside I could see …brown instead of red.
"I'm hurt Percy. Truly." Clarisse says glaring at him.
"Yeah that was rude to Nancy." Percy smirks.
"You're asking for it Prissy." Clarisse says.
"Their relationship is so weird." Jason mutters watching the two.
I kept walking… won't see any here."
"PARTY PONIES!" Apollo, Hermes, Percy, Nico, Travis, and Connor yelled.
"They're awesome." Travis says.
"Incredibly awesome." Connor agrees.
"You said your …shouldn't you be dead?"
Everyone snorted.
"Eloquent seaweed brain." Annabeth laughed.
Chiron paused… assume I'm still needed."
"He's always going to be needed." The demigods say.
"We always need him for something." Percy says thinking of his mentor. He missed him too.
I thought … Wish For list.
There was a chorus of "same's around the room.
"Doesn't it ever …"Why depressing?"
Everyone looked to Percy.
"Really?" Thalia asked.
Percy just shrugged. "I get it now."
"Too true." Was the general consensus.
Chiron seemed to …. number eleven.
"Hermes!" Travis and Connor exclaimed.
Hermes smiled at them. He was proud of all his kids.
When we reached her… an architecture book.
"It was an architecture book." Annabeth confirmed.
"Of course it was." Thalia teases.
Athena looked at her daughter. She could tell that she was going to do great things.
"Annabeth," Chiron said, … call it... ? A caduceus.
It's us! Came a voice from Hermes.
Hello! Came a second.
"Hello George, Martha." Percy greets, ignoring the startled looks of the gods.
He knows us! Martha exclaims.
Does he have rats?
"Not this time George. Next time." Percy promises.
"Let's be quiet now." Hermes suggests.
Only because the boy promised rats.
Hermes just sighed.
Inside, it was …an evacuation center.
Hermes frowned. He hated that his cabin was always so full of demigods who felt abandoned. He wished the other gods would claim their kids, but he couldn't exactly do anything about it now could he.
Chiron didn't go in… it at enough schools.
"It's the same everywhere." Leo says.
The demigods all nodded. They'd all gone through the new school process. Being the new kid.
"Well?" Annabeth … them said anything.
"We all had been through the same thing and knew how it felt." Travis said. "It may be a bit entertaining, but we won't make fun of anyone for it."
"That has to be the most intelligent thing I've ever heard you say." Katie teases.
Travis gasped dramatically.
Annabeth announced, …Everybody groaned.
"But…" Jason started. "We got claimed within the first day?"
"It didn't use to be that way." Annabeth says.
"What changed?" Artemis asked curious.
Thalia, Nico, Grover, and Annabeth all looked pointedly at Percy, who blushed.
The gods were confused. What was going on in the future. And how did this demigod change the way camp was run.
A guy who was a … like an old knife slash.
The gods watched concerned as most of the demigods present looked sad. They moved closer to each other, giving each other comfort. Percy was whispering in Annabeth's ear. Will switched places with Leo to be closer to the people who'd been in that war. For comfort and for comforting.
Jason, Leo, Frank, Piper, and Hazel looked confused. Why were their friends sad? What happened to this guy?
"Please continue." Poseidon asked Piper sensing the children didn't want to dwell.
"This is Luke,"
There was a collective flinch. While they knew that in the end, he was hero. He had still caused them all so much harm, loss, and pain.
Annabeth said… is the god of travelers."
"I wish you'd claim your kids." Hermes says. "My own should be able to have a cabin to themselves. Your own should also have their siblings, not questioning who their family is."
The gods had the decency to look ashamed. That's as far it went at the moment.
Hermes sighed.
I looked at the tiny … also the god of thieves.
"Smart." Travis and Connor said. "There were a couple of kids eyeing it."
I looked around …The campers all laughed.
"Things really did change didn't they." Jason said.
"Yeah they did." Percy says.
"Come on," … laughing behind me.
"Sorry."
"You're all good."
When we were a few … were the one."
Thalia laughed. "He sure was."
Annabeth glared, but as smiling. "Shut up."
"Nah."
"What's your problem… they'd had your chance?"
"To get killed?" Frank asks staring at her.
To his confusion Annabeth and Percy started laughing.
"To get killed?"
And now so did everyone else.
"You've got kelp for brains to!" Travis exclaims.
"He is a descendant." Percy points out.
"Oh my gods."
"To fight the Minotaur! … him in the labyrinth. So ..."
"Cursed place." Clarisse mutters shivering.
"You got that right." Grover agrees with her.
"Glad it's gone." Percy whispers, thinking back to that one summer. The beginning.
"Monsters don't die…accidentally, with a sword-"
"accidentally." Nico laughs. "She wasn't very happy with you about that."
"Oh I know." Percy smiles.
"The Fur …"You talk in your sleep."
"I forgot about that." Percy says. "What have I told you guys?"
"So much." Leo teases.
"Really?" Percy asks Annabeth.
She decided to play along, he really did say some wild things sometimes. "Oh yeah."
Percy groaned.
"Hey! Uncle P does to!" Apollo says.
"I do not!" Poseidon says.
"You do." Hades and Zeus say tiredly. "Usually projecting it. Which we pick up." Hades says.
Poseidon blushed.
"You almost called her … without it thundering?"
"No." all the gods say.
"He does it to us to." Ares grumbles.
To prove his point, it thundered in the room. It ended quickly as Hera smacked her husband's arm.
I sounded whiny… for me to get it.
"I was slow!" Percy said before anyone else could.
"You win this round Jackson." Nico smirks.
"My mom is Sally Jackson…Your dad."
Percy smiled at said dad. Who gave a smile back.
"He's dead… you weren't one of us."
"That so ominous Annie." Thalia says.
"Was I wrong?"
"I guess not."
"You don't know anything …Probably ADHD, too."
"You're going to freak him out." Jason says.
"I was already freaked out." Percy says. "A lot happened that day."
I tried to swallow my … the same thing?"
"Yeah we all did." Katie says.
The gods frowned as if not realizing how much their children went through.
"Most of the kids …"Ambrosia and nectar."
"Good stuff." Percy says. "Wish we had more."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Athena asks.
"Nothing mother." Annabeth says quickly. She didn't want her, or her friends who didn't know, to worry about her and Percy.
They looked worried anyway.
"The food and … "Well! A newbie!"
"This'll be fun." Ares grins
Clarisse and Percy just look to each other, then away, both hiding grins. It was hilarious looking back on the incident.
I looked over. …with it Friday night."
"Capture the flag is awesome." Apollo says.
"Until the brats get themselves hurt." Dionysus says, reading yet another magazine.
"That's why me and my cabin are there." Will points out. "And Chiron."
"You should be nicer to the children." Aphrodite admonishes.
"Yeah, yeah."
''Erre es korakas…don't stand a chance."
"We did." Clarisse said looking to Percy.
"Not my fault I got put by the river." Percy smiles.
Poseidon smirks. This game will be fun to read about. Little did he know.
"We'll pulverize you," … "It explains the bad smell."
"You wanna fight boy?" Ares asks, eyes blazing.
"Sure." Percy shrugs.
Ares was thrown off by that answer. Percy just smiled.
"Why does he keep fighting gods and titans." Nico groans.
"What?" Poseidon asks looking around.
"Oh nothing." Nico waves off.
Poseidon looked concerned anyway.
Clarisse growled. …"Stay out of it, wise girl."
There was silence around the room.
"Oh, my gods." Thalia laughs.
Clarisse looked mildly disgusted.
"Huh." Percy said. "That's where I get that from."
Annabeth just shook her head. Only Percy.
Annabeth looked pained…immediately was the bathroom.
"Classic." Ares sneers.
I was kicking and … ripping my hair out-
"Ouch!" Percy says, rubbing his head. "Forgot how that felt."
that if this place belonged to the gods, they should've been able to afford classier johns.
"Why would we care about bathrooms we don't use?" Ares sneers. "Plus that's Dionysus' job."
"Nah." Dionysus says. "It's the brats'."
Clarisse's friends were … he was so stupid looking."
"Y'all suspected early." Leo says.
"For a bit yeah. And then they didn't know what he was good at." Grover says.
Her friends snickered. …not go into that. I won't.
Poseidon smiles knowing what's about to happen. So did Percy. Clarisse didn't look excited for what was about to come.
Then something happened. I felt a tug in the pit of my stomach.
Oh that's weird Percy thinks feeling the same feeling now. He wondered if the water would come to him now as well.
I heard the plumbing … an arc straight over my head,
"Woah!" Hazel exclaims as a small hurricane formed in front of Percy.
"I guess that answers my question." Percy says staring at the hurricane, moving it to his hand.
"Mine too." Athena says darkly. She really hoped none of the children got seriously hurt. That could be very bad. She'd have to tell the others in the upcoming break.
and the next thing I knew, I was sprawled on the bathroom tiles with Clarisse screaming behind me.
Everyone paused for a second before laughing, even Clarisse.
"That's awesome." Leo says.
"It was pretty cool to see." Annabeth says. "Until you're also getting soaked."
I turned just as …quickly as it had started.
The little hurricane dissipated.
"That's so cool." Leo says.
"Also, terrifying." Travis says. "Especially when he fought that one guy."
"That was awesome what are you talking about?" Connor says.
"Wouldn't want it aimed at me."
The entire … staring at me in shock.
Annabeth was thinking about the mini hurricane, then she thought of something. Percy was literally feeling everything in the book, because the events were actually happening. She got a slightly scared look on her face. She needed to tell the others soon.
"Annabeth?" Percy asked concerned.
"I need to talk to everyone after this chapter."
"Okay."
I looked down and realized … my legs shaky.
"Really hate the shaky legs." Percy said.
Annabeth said, "How did you ..."
"I don't know."
"How did you all not know who his parent was after that." Will says. "I remember… Lee was frustrated that they couldn't figure it out."
"I honestly have no idea." Annabeth says.
We walked to the door… Close your mouth."
There were a few chuckles around the room but were quickly silenced by Clarisse's glare.
Her friends had to … me for dousing her.
"A little of both." Annabeth admits.
"What?" I demanded. "What are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking," she said, "that I want you on my team for capture the flag."
"That's going to be an awesome game." Ares smiles.
"Or deadly." Athena frowns.
Hera clapped her hands. "Time for dinner. Then another chapter or two and then bed." She looked around to see if anyone would contest her. When no one did she nodded
