The tension around that night was on the edge since nights like that would be the meaning of general panic and chaos around such a scarlet night in Pentagram City, the smell of smoke and the fire crossing around the terror happening means only one day of the disastrous event in the Pride Ring… The extermination day…

Screams of terror came from all sides, as angels without mercy crossed around the streets killing most of the sinners as possible, using their own celestial spears to make sure that no scummy hellspawn would be able to stand up in their way.

There were many kinds of protocols when it came to dealing with such merciless creatures, one was dying, two was trying to run away, and the third would be fighting back but without the right weapon, resistance would be futile. From the walls marked in blood to floors filled with corpses of sinners who wouldn't get up ever again.

The deafening roar of chaos echoed through the air as the fiery storm of extermination descended upon Pentagram City. The once vibrant streets now lay in ruins, consumed by the flames of damnation. Amidst the pandemonium, two young girls, the daughters of Carmilla Carmine, an Overlord known for her weapons supply, sprinted desperately through the streets, their terrified eyes reflecting the horror that unfolded around them.

Clara and Odette, their once-luxurious attire now torn and stained, weaved through the panicked crowd. The ominous glow of the approaching angel executor cast a shadow over their faces, the terror etched across their features like a haunting painting. Fear clung to them like a suffocating shroud as they navigated the apocalyptic cityscape.

The skyline painted in hues of crimson and embers served as a backdrop to their desperate flight. Buildings, once towering in grandeur, now crumbled like ancient ruins, mirroring the demise of hope in the city. The distant wails of damned souls harmonized with the symphony of destruction, creating an eerie melody that accompanied the girls' frantic footsteps.

The angel executor, a celestial being clad in ethereal armor, pursued them with relentless determination. Its wings, radiant with divine energy, sliced through the smoke-filled air as it closed in on its targets. Each step resonated with a sense of inevitability, and its piercing gaze held an unwavering commitment to the divine decree of extermination.

Clara and Odette's breaths came in ragged gasps, their hearts pounding in sync with the rhythm of their escape. The terror in their eyes intensified with every passing moment, realizing the futility of their flight against a celestial force ordained to purge the damned.

As the angel executor drew near, the air crackled with otherworldly energy, a palpable tension that signaled the impending confrontation. The girls' faces mirrored the dread of their impending fate, caught in the relentless grip of a fate ordained by the divine forces they could not defy.

And from the other corner of the Pentagram, a lady tall and slender, light gray-skinned demon. She sports long white hair that has been formed in the shape of large horns with several black streaks - most of them on top of the horn shape that resembles thin ribbons, while one is located on her bangs. On her face, she has a marking that appears to be inspired by a mask, which is around her slanted eyes with white irises, red sclera, and thick lashes protruding from them. The rest of her arms and hands are colored white, with her hands themselves rather large in proportion to her body with black nails protruding from them. She was nobody other than Carmilla herself, waiting in anticipation of the message from her children who seemed to be unable to pick up their hellphone.

"Come on Odette, please, pick up the phone mi hija." Carmilla's face showed nothing more than worry since she tried to make sure the scout patrol would be doing their work as bodyguards to protect her daughters whom she loved so much.

And her worries were not unfounded, since at the sounds of explosions, she was on the verge of killing everyone in front of her to try to locate her daughters… And finally some relief, she managed to get in contact with them.

"MI HIJA, WHERE ARE YOU?" Carmilla shouted as she looked at her own bodyguards who were doing their best to cover by firing their weapons, and using their bodies to protect the other employees of her weapon factory…

"Mother, we are being followed, Executor -25° 46' 48 / -47° 55' 45'' At the sound of numbers, there was a click which demonstrated the contact was cut, and at that moment, the Overlord only saw red, and went in the direction of her kids.

From everywhere she passed it was like a sharp blade cutting down the street. And even if the angels she crossed by, she ignored their attempts to attack her, she didn't care… She used everything at her disposal to distract them and go directly to the coordinates his older daughter gave to her. She accidentally killed some sinners, but since they weren't killed by angelical weapons, they would recover in a few days.

But at the time, she found, traces of destruction, and she felt that every moment the angelical beast would try to rip their lives, she wanted so much to kill the angel, but such a decision would create terrible consequences. And she needed to find them or she would lose everything that mattered to her.

"ODETTE, CLARA, WHERE ARE YOU?" The overlord shouted, as she desperately needed to find them, dammed the consequences if she couldn't find them… She was on the verge of praying for their own safety when somehow she got the answers she was looking for.

"MAMA, AYUDA NOS." Clara who was her youngest child, shouted as Carmilla turned her head, and found that in a few streets away, in the corner of what would be a supermarket, she found her two daughters cornered as the angelical terrifying smile was approaching them…

Carmilla immediately reacted, as she quickly approached like a bullet and went in front of her own daughters using her body as a wall to stay in front of the menacing executor. She didn't want to do it, she didn't want to make such a decision, but she had to… to protect her own daughters, she was going to…

*splat*

And from the red eyes of pure rage from the overlord, she blinked as she saw in slow motion the face of a grinning angel suddenly covered with a white shell and a yellow goo on its face… Someone dared to throw an egg at the executor…

The angel itself also blinked from someone who just did that, and both turned in the direction of where the egg was thrown away. He was a delicate-looking thing, wearing a well-worn black suit with a white undershirt. His white hair combed into a neat and professional style, with white freckles dotting his cheeks and glowing yellow eyes holding nothing but concern and determination.

"HEY, CHICKEN WINGS. HAVE SOME EGGS." The imp shouted showing fear and nervousness, but he didn't care and threw a few more eggs towards the executor.

*splat* *splat* *splat.*

The angelical face behind the helmet showed no emotion, but the body language showed that it looked very angry from the challenge. Carmilla looked at the imp who was creating an opportunity, and slowly she took both her daughters, one by each arm, and she watched… The imp who was throwing more and more eggs… until she saw the angel had enough and captured one egg with its hand…

Carmila gave a slight glance, and saw it… it wasn't an egg, it was dark green, and an object that she knew very well what it was. Using that as an opportunity, she took her daughters and ran away in a safe distance. Until the angel just realized that it was too late. The explosion of the grenade was loud and even if didn't hurt, and didn't make the angel move a muscle… There was still smoke and pieces shattered to make a distraction for it to look.

The angel looked around, trying to find the sinners who were its prey… but at the only marks of a sharped fissure on the floor, the angel couldn't contain the anger and looked in the direction of the culprit who made it lost it's prey… just for then loses the track of the said imp, and finds there was nobody there, just a sewer hole with the lid covering and grocery bags a few meters away from the sewer…The executor became so furious that it turned the direction of the west side of Pentagram city and killed 20 more sinners in revenge for being fooled like that.

And back at the factory of weapons… Carmilla's eyes stared in the direction of the shout of the angel… never had she thought in her life that an imp strategically brought attention to himself, and used the eggs as a distraction to throw a grenade at the executor… The imp was with grocery bags but had to throw them away for the sake of using the eggs to distract the executor…

An imp… who would normally run away to save their lives, and let the sinners be hurt and killed by the angels since they aren't the target of their objectives… an imp who created the courage to make her take her daughters and be safe again…

"Mama, are you okay?" Then a voice made her snap from her thoughts, and looking at the daughter she has, the bruised puce skin, short and curly cream hair tied up in a ponytail was now messed up and loose from such a terrible hour, her dark lips losing color, her eyes with red sclera and white irises showed nothing more than worry and concern. Her black top was torn and almost exposed her breasts. dark gray jeans with more holes than the version she first bought, the black belt, and fingerless gloves, they aren't there anymore.

Her other daughter wasn't looking any better, her white skin was dirty from the mud and ashes from the flames, her blonde hair was untied and dirty from the blood across the streets, her eyes with the red sclera and white irises were tired with exhaustion, her circular red glasses were broken, her white lab coat torn with holes around the arms, long black gloves she was with just 1, and also losing a ballet shoe.

But one important thought crossed her mind, which was the most important thought… they were safe.

Carmilla's eyes watered, as she used her arms to hug both her daughters with all her might and didn't let them go.

"I'm fine… mi hijas, I'm perfectly fine." The overlord shed tears as she got so much what she wanted, and it didn't go too far to cause a kill towards an angel which could create terrible repercussions in the future…

"Do you think that imp is still alive?" Odette asked, as she tried to look around to see if someone else was approaching their direction, and with the trio passing the doors of the weapon factory, they would be more protected in comparison to remaining on the street.

"I don't know," Clara replied as she herself was calming down. And clearing the tears in her eyes as well… the most terrifying experience she ever had finally could come to an end because she knew that her mom being nearby them, nobody dared to touch both daughters of Carmilla. "He launched a grenade after throwing eggs at the executor… I never thought to see someone make a misdirection like that."

"It was planned…" Carmilla commented, as she could see the imp's face showing nothing more than fear, but also worry in the direction of the terrified sinners… she was on the verge of killing the angel, but that imp came from nowhere and did enough to make her save her daughters. "He wanted a distraction, and created one for us… That imp… we may have a debt to pay with that imp…"

Carmilla is known by many for her weapon dealer empire, her loyalty to her friends, and for paying the debts to whoever came to her aid in a time that she needed most… And that imp came to save her daughters… and she may never know his name, but she at least knows his appearance, the facial features, and the posture of the imp… She would find him if he is alive… she would be eternally grateful for him risking his skin to save her daughters…

It took 2 hours for Moxxie to get out of that sewer, and the confusion of the said chaos finally came to an end, since it passed more than 2 a.m.

"Oh crumbs, why didn't I have to go to the grocery store in the middle of the night?" Moxxie replied as he took his suit off his body, smelling the shit and pee covering his body and clothing. The imp had no idea why he did what he did. But from seeing the daughters in fear and a mother in panic… he couldn't help but remind himself of the good times his mother came to protect him whenever he had fear. Seeing they were against a being and they couldn't do anything about it… He felt it was the right thing to do… Stupid, but the right thing to do. "I hope they are fine now…"

Moxxie walked the streets and looked at some of the cards which had some bodies remaining around… knowing that some sinners wouldn't use the said car anymore, he took the keys and pushed the body from the driver's seat…

"What a crazy day… I hope Blitzo wouldn't mind if I take this car and park in front of his apartment." Moxxie didn't turn on the radio, since the Radio Demon would enjoy explaining the disastrous event of the extermination day around Pride Ring, and he as an imp felt that he would vomit at any moment. His time working for his father really taught him how to improvise in the worst moment possible. And that was the only thing he would be grateful for that bastard who turned his life into a torture of traumatic events.

Moxxie closed his eyes and gritted his teeth as the car crossed over the bodies of the sinners and demons who were massacred in such a grim event. He whispered sorry for many of them, but he just wanted to go to sleep…

He didn't remember how long it took for him to go around to cross the streets of Pentagram City until an hour was enough for him to pass the streets of Imp City, a place where the events of the extermination day weren't as badly as the capital of Pride Ring… But still, some sinners are on the floor inability to wake up ever again.

Moxxie felt the grim feeling on his chest, but ignored… he focused on driving the car… until was the front of the apartment that he was sharing with a person who became his first friend, and who even managed to rescue him from the prison he was on Greed Ring… A friend who has dreams of creating a company… and a daughter whom he adores so much.

It's ironic, how little things happen, and many lives would change from such events… Moxxie felt so tired, that he didn't even get out of the car… he slept in the car steering wheel, and with a thought in his mind… about how his future would be…

Years later:

"I can't believe you let him trap you Millie, haven't we taught you better?" Lin commented as she was bandaging the arms of the female imp who worked at the company. Annoyed for her daughter hurt and disappointed in her, Millie glared at the mother.

"I was seeing red, and that damn boy was slippery." Millie defended herself as Blitzo the owner of the company and Moxxie who was wearing not only his ordinary suit but with red glasses covering his eyes. On his hands around his fingerless gloves, there was a black golden ring with a diamond which had an image of weapons and grenades on it. Both imps were annoyed and wanted to prepare their stuff just to leave Wrath Ring as soon as possible.

"Excuses, you are better than that." The matriarch imp said as she pointed the finger towards the young girl.

"Alright, that's it." Moxxie slammed the luggage as he looked very annoyed towards the parents who had threatened their daughter like a child who made a mistake. "You both had the guts to call out everything you want about how your daughter is capable of… But in the end, you let an assassin work inside of your farm, had guns that you both seemed so superior and look down on whatever person uses them… That far hypocrite from a people who seemed to adore someone who uses a Celestial Sniper Remington 700, with bullets that could kill an executor and any kind of royalty less powerful than the overlords… And yet you dare to look down on me for being an imp who uses weapons and guns to protect my wife, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law. Ever look yourselves in the mirror? Because what I see was cowards that could treat their children like shit because they didn't have the strength to protect them by themselves."

Millie looked horrified as she saw her coworker stare angrily at her mother and her father who seemed to be frowning angrily for his words… But the patriarch remained quiet, and just nodded his head and turned his back… Which made Millie awe of what the imp had said… Lin also acknowledged the mistake she had made and decided to be quiet.

Moxxie didn't want an apology, he didn't want to be recognized by them, they weren't his family… They are just imps from Wrath Ring, who don't understand the concept of danger, and have the balls to call someone in their family for mistakes that would have been avoided if they were aware…

"Moxxie, you got their respect, nobody ever got respect by own father…" Millie looked at the imp in admiration, but the imp spat on the floor.

"I don't want them to recognize me, I just want to go home and be with my wife," Moxxie said which made Millie cringe and nod her head in sadness…

She wanted to cause a good impression of Wrath Ring to her coworkers, her boss Blitzo and her friend Moxxie, but since the start of the trip it has been pure chaos around, and with Striker working as a killer by using to working for her parents, and Moxxie being the only one who saw through his disguise… she should have believed better on her friend.

"Let's get out of here." Blitzo knew the tone when Moxxie said that, he didn't want to stay in that shit place… and he doesn't even know if the imp who has worked so much for him and lived so proudly in Pentagram City, would ever want to return to Wrath Ring ever again…

At the time the group was traveling through the van, Loona was typing on her hellphone, but she was glancing at the imp who was holding a Celestial Sniper Rifle… A weapon like that would have terrified her… but from the same imp who had been around a few years, she got used to all kinds of weird versions of Celestial weapons Moxxie had brought to them.

"So, you want to keep that?" Blitzo asked as Moxxie stared at the Celestial runes around the sniper.

"Nah, I just need the serial number." Moxxie took a picture with his hellphone and gave it to the hellhound who took it by her hands. "Place on the back, please. You can have sir."

"Are you sure that your mother-in-law is going to be fine with that?" The owner of the company asked a bit unsure. "Last time I played with a weapon like that I heard her cussing me in 2 different languages and she wanted to use my head as a stool."

Moxxie laughed at the good memories of the terrified face of Blitzo, and the angry look of one of the most powerful beings in Pentagram City, which she visited their office just for the sake of her threatening Blitzo…

Loona also chuckled from seeing her adoptive father acting like a baby in front of Carmilla Carmine, the overlord which she was terrified to know when Fatty got into a relationship with her daughter… It was such a mess that she also had to be careful to not step on eggshells. And Moxxie was pissing on himself the first time he learned about her as well… it was funny and scary at the same time.

Millie laughed, as she may never see the overlord of weapons herself, the stories she heard from both Moxxie and Loona would make her see the lady known as the main weapon source of the company with a good impression of her.

And in times like that, the hellphone from the thespian's pocket started vibrating which was a good time for him to sigh in relief.

"Lady Carmilla, how are you?" Moxxie asked as he smiled towards the screen from his hellphone, but looking at the annoyed face of the white face of overlord, it looked like he messed up. "Is there something wrong?"

"Yes… there is" Carmilla's annoyed tone showed that the imp looked in a bad spot. "How many times have I told you to stop calling me that pendejo."

"Lo siento…" Moxxie composed himself as he remembered how the Overlord wanted to be called by him, and the blush of embarrassment made Blitzo and Loona grin at the boy since they were eager to hear again. "Madre Carmilla, how are you?"

"Now that's better." The overlord smiled in satisfaction as Moxxie ignored the chuckling and giggles from the group around the van. Carmilla coughed drily as she wanted to see the imp from the hellphone. "I want to know if you are coming back home."

"Yes, we are… And I kinda need your help…" Moxxie was glad to have the right person to call him at that moment. "There was an assassination attempt on Wrath Ring, they tried to kill Prince Stollas, and while I understand you don't care about it… it's about a Celestial Weapon… a serpentine imp hybrid somehow managed to have in the hands of a sniper rifle."

The overlord who was pleased to talk with the imp suddenly froze… and then her eyes narrowed showing a glare of a serpent…

"Oh do tell… what kind of sniper rifle?" Carmilla asked as Moxxie gave the picture of the sniper and the serial number… "Hmm… this is something I should have been aware of… I'm going to take a look. Is there someone hurt?"

"Just Millie who broke her arm, that bastard was slippery and ran away before sir managed to kill him," Moxxie said as Millie waved with the good hand, and Loona rolled her eyes and tried to avoid gazing at the face of the overlord woman who was glaring at everything in the van.

"Hmm… understandable. I will see if I can talk with Zestial, he has experience when it comes to dealing with situations like that, he may have heard some rumors around who would want to kill the owl prince." The expert in weapons Ovelord commented amused, as she could see the imp's eyes look on the verge of panic. "Please Moxxie, you don't need to be afraid. He isn't going to hurt you. From what I heard he seems to like you…"

"And that's what I was afraid of," Moxxie commented the glare of Carmilla's eyes made him correct himself. "Really? Oh, that's great to know… err… madre Carmilla… how is Odette?"

"Oh, just working on her shift right now, she was pretty worried about you going to Wrath Ring, but knowing that you have all the weapons you need, and from the intimate talk you both had last night… I think she is happy to hear you are coming back." The matriarch said which made Moxxie's eyes go wide open in panic and his face blushed pink.

"YOU HEARD THAT?" Moxxie shouted in shame, and Carmilla's laugh showed him that he was trapped.

"No, I didn't, but it seems I was correct and you both did it… Hahahaha, oh, I will never let Odette live that down… Anyway, have a nice trip back home my dear son-in-law." Carmilla smiled as Moxxie sighed, knowing that he was tricked by the matriarch of the family once again.

"Thanks, madre… Bye…" Moxxie finished the call, and he immediately could see his coworkers doing their best to hold their laughs… "Okay, you guys have 5 minutes to laugh all you want…"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH." And the laughs were happening around the van… the trip back to Pride Ring was cheerful with laughs towards the love life of the imp who managed to become part of the Overlord's family…

A life Moxxie would never regret being part of...
